This is cool. This should help me check my wife's 2017 Mazda 3 Hatchback....troubleshooting a breaking vibration on the steering wheel. Could be break pads or rotors but i want to also check the dampers to be sure they still good. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve heard people getting seriously injured doing struts. Since the coil and struts are all one assembly I’m not sure why it would be dangerous. Do you have any insights on what additional safety precautions to take?
When they are one assembly it's easy. But if you were just changing the spring by itself or needed them apart for other reasons such as strut mounts needing replacement for example...then Yes you would need to be careful.
Do you mean with the WD-40 that I was showing? If that's what you mean, it's only to be able to get them off as they can be heat seized. If you can take them all off without spraying great, but if it's an older car, they can be stuck on there pretty good, especially if lock tight was used previously.
I got kyb quick struts on mine recently for the front and I noticed the front height is higher than oem. It’s been about a month and it still high on mine, do you mind posting an after video of your ride height after installed it? Thanks
Kyb is reputable and you know after I finished the install I wasn't sure if it was my mind or if it actually seemed like it was a little higher. You may be right. Might just need more time. Mine is certainly not much higher than it was before, if any.
@@radieyevanov With kyb - front height is a little higher by an inch and half than the oem ones from factory. My friend noticed it too but just told me to wait till it settles out. I live in Canada and I switched from winters to summer setup a week ago and I noticed that it’s even higher after jacking the car up and it goes down little by little afterwards.
Yep! I’m definitely subscribing! 😁 You just made me love my 2016 Mazda 3 all over again! ❤
Haha ☺️ thank you.
And yes, they are fun cars and great bang for the buck in my opinion.
I'm on my third Mazda!

Warped rotors would likely be the most common if the vibration is only during breaking.
very informative video. I like your editing
Thank you 🙃

Looks like u replaced the swaybar links also, did u make a video on that?
I did yes. Search the channel and you'll find it, it's from a little while ago
Aren’t you not supposed to grease threads? I know you didn’t directly, but you don’t want them coming off easily

Does you car have i-eloop? Seems like mazda specifies different struts for i-eloop vehicles so not sure if these struts would work for mine
It does not! Mine is an older 2014 model

@@fackergomez892any update now? I'm looking into KYB Quick struts
Any update on the ride height? Did it settle out? I'm looking into this as well.
What about the rear
If you need them replaced then sure. The rears on this model is a separate spring and shock absorber.
