      The Titan's 9.9" is not that far off from the Silverado's 10.6" height. If you're worried about ground clearance, an aftermarket lift kit will fix that issue. Problem solved. As for the side steps, most people who are serious about off-roading, will take them off. However, no one in their right mind is going to take a heavy a** , full-size crew cab truck onto serious off-roading trails.

    TFL truck tooK the Pro4x and trailboss on a pretty tough trail and where the trailboss struggled the Titan tackled with ease despite the more aggressive tires on the Trailboss.

    I just bought a 2020 pro 4X fully loaded and I was also comparing it against the trail boss. After spending a few hours with each (the Titan second) there was really no comparison. The interior, the electronics, the engine, the warranty. I paid $49,871 before TTL. And Nissan surprised me with 0% interest for 72 months. I am blown away. It’s a special truck and all my neighbors have come over to see it. It gets a lot of attention. I got the grey color because I liked the way all the black trim, lights and graphics looked.

      @@michalp2362 there are less expensive pro 4X for instance you can get it with cloth, no memory functions, no heated or cooled seats. But mine is fully loaded with everything accept the sunroof. I could have gotten it for $2k less actually but then I would have given up the 0% interest. • @ogduckett
      @ogduckett 4 роки тому +2

      @@bcw686 Well I've owned two mid 90's Nissan hardbodies that were near indestructible. But i have a buddy who owns an 08 titan with over 225k miles and has had zero issues with it. So i trust Nissan's truck reliability record over the last 30 yrs. Also what made me go with the '20 titan was all of the standard safety equipment over the other brands. The Toyota's are great but i feel the value for what you get compared to the Nissan just didn't match. Fords/Chevy interior felt out dated. The rams were around $70k loaded up with the really really nice interiors but i'm happy to have saved $15k and get the titan with a slightly less luxurious interior. So overall i wanted reliability, good looks, comfortable interior, off road capability, towing confidence, and a price tag under $55k which the titan checked all of those boxes perfectly.

    SO…
    It is 2023 - and I’m just now seeing this video.
    I will start off by saying that I just bought a 2023 Titan Pro 4X in Baja Storm. …which I’m very happy with!
    I won’t bore you with the 2 years of frustration I endured before finally getting this gorgeous Pro 4X!
    Suffice it to say, now my Titan Pro 4X wins out over the following that I looked at first:
    - 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in Lunar Rock
    - 2022 GMC Sierra AT4
    - 2022 & 2023 Chevy Trail Boss
    And I must say that many of the articles comparing the Titan Pro 4X to the other full size trucks leave out the main criteria. …That being: The Nissan Titan Pro 4X is absolutely the most handsome truck!! …especially the Baja Storm!
    Also… I don’t care about the fact that the towing and payload thresholds are slightly less than other trucks.
    Lastly, for me, the listed price of the Pro 4X was 63k - while the Trail Boss that I ordered (TWICE & didn’t get) was just over 70k. And I actually ended up getting the Pro 4X for 59k!!
    For these reasons and more, I’m very happy with my Pro 4X.

    Just an fyi, the ground clearance you provided is at the rear axle. The ground clearance at the skid plates is actually 10.6. Those running boards aren't standard so anyone looking to actually take this to the trails wouldn't get them and that would give you full use of the ground clearance.

    1/2 ton truck pricing has gotten almost out of reach nowadays. The only real things I look for is reliability, price, and mpg. Anytime s full size can get over 20 mpg, I'm happy. Biggest question to me is this. Will it get to 300k miles without too many problems? Answer: Titan, Tundra. I've seen the million mile Tundra and Frontier with original engine. That's quality!

Overall I think the high price of trucks is shocking. I remember the days when you could get a good truck for $20k-$30k. Not anymore. Even used trucks are overpriced. If want towing - get the XD version. It is beyond paper specs - sturdy towing with reinforced frame, longer wheelbase and bigger brakes. I think for towing boat or a car, Titan will do well but when towing a trailer, then XD is the truck.

    • @Jackmerius_Tacktheretrix
      @Jackmerius_Tacktheretrix 3 роки тому +1

      Get the XD. The heavier weight of the truck makes it more stable towing than any half ton ever could be. I have a 16 xd platinum reserve diesel and towing my heavy trailer the difference between it and the tundra and f150 ive towed it with is night and day, especially in crosswinds or going down a 2 lane road with an 18 wheeler coming from the other direction, or just passing an 18 wheeler on the interstate. Towing is more than just power. The XD tows and feels like a 3/3 ton but rides better than a 3/4 ton. It really is a great truck if you tow 9n the heavier side but don't want a rough riding 3/4 ton. And it has a gooseneck from the factory. And the 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty doesn't hurt either, especially when the competition only offers 3 hr 36,000.
