I have owned 2 Nissan trucks and they were literally indestructible. I ran both trucks hard, maintained them well and when it came down to trade them in (Crickets)....poor resale value! I DON'T understand for the life of me why either. Nissan makes really good trucks but Toyota kills them on the resale, although admittingly they too are beginning to suffer when it comes to resale value now especially the Tundra and Tacoma. American buyers are waking up to those two dinosaurs finally and realizing they are paying gobs of money for the word "Reliability" (yeah right) meanwhile they enjoy riding much more in their buddies RAM or whatever bc it is slammed with accouterments. Good job as always Joe keep it coming, brother!
Joe I started off looking at the 2020 Tacoma trd pro, then decided on the 4runner pro since it now is keyless entry, but I've been part of the Nissan family before owning 2 Altima's one being an 09 SL blacked out. I never was a fan of their trucks because they always seemed bland to me... but this truck right here has me. I love the all dark interior plus the panoramic moon roof, the fender sound system which the moon roof and system I had in my 2015 Tiguan SEL. Once I get my settlement I believe I will be purchasing this especially after your video. I have already looked at bed racks for over landing as well as truck bed deck systems for extra storage. Thanks man, hopefully you'll be able to do another one on this for the hell of it.🙏🤘
Avoid that Tacoma bro. In 2016 they went with 3.5L and 6 speed auto and it's a dog. You gotta rev that truck to the moon to get any torque out of it. If you want midsize in my opinion Ranger is only option. This is a super dope truck, I don't think you can go wrong with any full size truck nowadays except Chevy with that old @ss 5.3L. Good luck in your search man but cross that Tacoma out for good.

Titan is definitely way better truck. Pro4x comes with locking rear diff. Nothing is offered in the tundra. Tian comes with 33s stock, tundra has 32s. Titan has a 9 speed and gets 21 highway. Tundra still has a 6speed and gets 17 highway. Titan lacks abit in the aftermarket support but it's a great truck for the money. You can get slightly used titan for amazing prices. Definitely the most underrated truck on the market. My dad picked up the XD with the cummins. Amazing truck. He had the 2014 tundra before and titan is miles ahead in interior quality and sound reduction. Biggest thing is the seats. Zero gravity seats on the titan are so comfy for long road trips. We did 1500 mile road trip in both titan and tundra. Hands down titan was miles ahead of the tundra in comfort. Even the diesel XD gave better mpg than the tundra. I plan to pick up a used sv titan. Dont care about off roading but I'll still give it a slight level with 33s and make it my work horse. Amazing motor and power plant. Definitely one of the fastest and most reliable trucks on the market.
Raiti's Ride is definitely worth coming back for. Thanks for giving a review about this trucks capabilities refreshing when your looking at different vehicles. I'm a subscriber and I'm telling others you are a Great source.
I had a Titan XD with the 5 litre Cummins as a work truck. But it was a rough truck. On the highway it was fine, but city driving sucked. The transmission was real jerky. Went with a 1 ton Ram after the lease ended.
Great review joe, but i am wondering about one thing. I see you zonked the shift lever for the materials used but not on the functionality of it. I have seen several other reviews that complained about the lever being flimsy and not giving a crisp feeling for the gear selected. Did you notice any issues with that?
I test drove one the other day. Yes the column shifter felt cheap with a loose feel. Only gripe I had. Otherwise I really liked it. Considering this or a ram rebel
Just my opinion but the Titan is better looking than the Tundra. Plus I don't think the Tundra has a true locking rear differential. That color is amazing.
william allen well Scotty is saying China prices on car sales have slashed big time not sure if America will budge in that manner or just good apr’s like your saying
I really like the camera shot of you guys going over the dirt bridge/ obstacle course. Would've been a lot cooler if you had a go-pro camera stuck on the front fender to show how steep it was to us viewers. Great review though.
I purchased a 2006 Titan in 9/2005! I still drive it daily with well over 200k miles on the odometer and the only repair needed was a new radiator at 190k miles! This truck is bulletproof and is probably the sleeper of the century! My only complaint was the mundane interior surfaces but, it looks like that has been addressed! Damn it Nissan! Just when i thought i was out you drag me back in...so...where do i sign?
Joe you missed the pen and card holder places. The one thing i dont like about the Titan is that they should have put 6100/5160's shocks on it and it would be perfect, maybe a taller lift too!!
Love the black grill, but the frame should be smaller. Also wish it was available in a matte Army Green and had a power rear window. The Baha Storm color looks good, but I prefer the Quicksand color on my 2016 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. The smaller back seat leg space is a deal breaker. Size matters with respect to cabin space.
Tundra reliability being bulletproof is the only thing that keeps me from buying another truck, I haven’t had to replace my truck it’s a 2008 Tundra 260k miles and I just get regular oil changes, tyres, brakes Etc
I have a 2010 tundra and I'm waiting on the 2021 tundra with the twin turbo, but this truck looks really nice. I will test drive one. I just purchased a RAV 4 fully loaded for my wife. So once I pay that off hopefully by the end of this year or beginning of next year .I may pull the trigger on this one. Thanks for the video. By the way the 0-60 is nice at 5.7. Thanks for the info.
This is a very good truck. Shouldn't be compared to the Tundra. The Tundra is dead - totally irrelevant. The updated Titan is probably aiming for some Chevy, Ford and Ram meat.
Well first Nissan has to sell three times as many Titans to catch the Tundra and then perhaps the Tundra will only be significantly more relevant than the Titan.
Thanks Joe for the wonderful review. and I also watched the commercial ads too for your videos! By the way, is it an option to change this pro-4x side mirrors to those bigger tow mirror that other titans have, and still have the 360 camera? also. I remember titan's has two long boxes on the sides on the bed, is it possible to have it back on this trim? Thank you
Definitely Nissan on this one I can't stand that Toyota hasn't changed prettpretty much anything for years. Nissans interior tech and exterior for that matter far outmatch most trucks without having to buy "premium" or "platinum" or "lariat" or "big horn" that all go for 70,000 plus
Love the specs of the Titan, but the Tundra is known for reliability. So redesigned Tundra? 😂 Man, I hate saying redesign, but technology is evolving faster than we can understand it. Great vid, Joe!
@@JokerG16 That's what I've been hearing. For me to call something reliable, it needs to be out for a couple of years. Haven't heard much complaints about the Diesel Titans, but I heard a few about the V8 gas ones. I'm hoping for the best for Nissan cuz the rest of the pickup trucks needs some upgrades.
Victor Le I was dead set on getting a pro4x Titan stepping up from my pro4x Xterra and went with a Tundra. The build quality on the pre 2020 titans is terrible, terrible paint, just overall cheap feeling. I'm hoping with the refresh that things will be changed but can't say yet.
@@cobaltgofast And I also heard that about literally everything else in Nissan's lineup maybe besides the Frontier. I heard about catalytic converter and electronic issues on the Titans. I like Nissan's spec competition, but then past reliability...
Victor Le The frontier is the only "new" Nissan I'd buy still and that's only because they haven't changed. Not sure how they will be with the new 3.8L and 9 speed trans. I absolutely loved my Xterra and will own one again but it's impressive when a v6 SUV averages the same mpg as a full sized thirsty tundra.
The cup holders in the back seat arm rest is really dumb... You already have 2 regular cup holders the middle guy doesn't get a cup holder but the 2 back passengers get 4 cup holders?!?! This doesn't add up

william allen well Scotty is saying China prices on car sales have slashed big time not sure if America will budge in that manner or just good apr’s like your saying
Give it 5 months. Bottom is dropping out of used cars and they will have to discount new to sell them.
I really like the camera shot of you guys going over the dirt bridge/ obstacle course. Would've been a lot cooler if you had a go-pro camera stuck on the front fender to show how steep it was to us viewers. Great review though.
Thanks Ted! Nissan would not let us stick the Go Pros to the exterior.
Thank God I will buy one for myself
I purchased a 2006 Titan in 9/2005! I still drive it daily with well over 200k miles on the odometer and the only repair needed was a new radiator at 190k miles! This truck is bulletproof and is probably the sleeper of the century! My only complaint was the mundane interior surfaces but, it looks like that has been addressed! Damn it Nissan! Just when i thought i was out you drag me back in...so...where do i sign?
I really liked this one brother, but I’m a ford guy when it comes to pickups my dude
Not disrespect for liking another brand man, we all like trucks! All that matters.
No knock on Ford but please go drive a Titan. It changed my mind.
I Am a Titan owner, but that V8 Coyote F150 is a sweet ride!
Joe I got a question I heard that these trucks you can NOT plow snow with or voids warranty true or false?? Thanks brother..
That is a really good question. I don't see why that would void the warranty. From what I see no it does not!
They actually sell titans with snow plows from factory..
Wheels are the best looking truck wheel on the market imo
I really think I subscribed for the snack comments in the interior. Always crack me up
This truck probably more durable than GM and Ram trucks. Scotty might agree
That is a great point Brady.
awesome truck! even better than my 2018 Titan. Loved my 2004 Titan too. Probably get a new one in 2021. Wait what me ? Biased?? no way. :D
I love the way this one looks!
Joe you missed the pen and card holder places. The one thing i dont like about the Titan is that they should have put 6100/5160's shocks on it and it would be perfect, maybe a taller lift too!!
Very good points Steven!
Thanks! Great review. I still don't think you sleep.
Thanks man for saying that! You guys deserve the best!
Raiti's Rides Thanks for doing the Titan. I know they get a lot of crap online but I have had two and I love them.
When the heck are they going to price drop I’ve been waiting for months I want this truck soo bad haha. Great review!
Looks good! Hopefully this design language will carry over to the next gen Frontier.
Shocks don't push wheels down, springs do that, shock control the rate?
How are you Joe? And yes!! A truck video!
I am doing great Tom! How are you feeling?
@@RaitisRides Pretty hyped to see you in this vid going off-roading. Great video.
Thanks for sharing your great thoughts on this one.
Tundra reliability being bulletproof is the only thing that keeps me from buying another truck, I haven’t had to replace my truck it’s a 2008 Tundra 260k miles and I just get regular oil changes, tyres, brakes Etc
Good, clean trucks.
My local Nissan Dealership (Charlie Clark) offers lifetime bumper to bumper warranty unlimited miles other brands dont offer that
I have a 2010 tundra and I'm waiting on the 2021 tundra with the twin turbo, but this truck looks really nice.
Thanks for sharing your input and perspective! Thanks for watching!
I would encourage Nissan to call this color FDE...they find a whole new market ;)
I’m surprised with how good that V8 sounds!
This will be my very first truck to own Joe.
Hey Joe you need to get some sample tracks so we can hear the sound system
I wonder how that transmission is going to do🤔
Same here Jorge!
It comes with a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty.
Great review, and nice truck. Does this have the old power steering, or have they gone Electric?
Great Truck, Great Review, and Hello to, "Lori"! 👋
Joe you do a great job man Kudos!
Are those the standard yellow Bilsteins or the heavy duty silver or 5000 series?
Standard
Damn good looking truck!
Excellent review...
Thank you very much!
Man, I hate saying redesign, but technology is evolving faster than we can understand it.
Great vid, Joe!
Titans are tough trucks too. Just as reliable as Tundras.
Great video keep up the work
The cup holders in the back seat arm rest is really dumb... You already have 2 regular cup holders the middle guy doesn't get a cup holder but the 2 back passengers get 4 cup holders?!?!
This doesn't add up
@Jonathan Losito the middle should have them BMW pop out ones or have none on the arm rest... All doors should have Bottle holders tho
Question is; can you put a Twinkie in that zero-g holder?
If you want to squirt cream every where!
Stay safe Joe
Same to you my friend!
It's the best sized large truck IMO. In comparison the Ram is too big; almost 11" longer. Good I guess but necessary most times...? As others have said very underrated truck.
Same key fob as my 08 Altima. Double Zonk.
Joe is so funny that's my guy keep up the great reviews
Pretty nice truck. Sounds good too. Ram’s interior still nicer though. Nice job Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
The ram screens are stating to act up on people
Not heard of any problems. It’s one of if not thee best on the market.
Make mine a Tundra TRD Pro please. With an aftermarket exhaust to make it sound as good as that Titan.
Come to my country one day Raiti Canada and then do an automotive review up here buddy
Can you review the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk? Great video, by the way!
Nissan titan needs 5.0L V8 twin turbo or supercharged to destroy any compation
Great video brother.
5:57 that's as fast as a 2003 Mustang Gt, faster than my nat asp 2016 ford taurus(when it was stock), not bad for a truck.
A 2003 Mustang didnt trap 110 mph unless it was a Terminator.
Don't forget the pack of Skittles in the back pocket when you're drinking the Big Gulp
