Using Live Bait to catch BIG Red Fish

- In this video we show you how we like to target oversized red drum, aka "Bull Reds" here in Panama City. This is just one of many ways to fish for these monster redfish and it has proven to be simple, effective and consistent for us throughout most of the year.
We catch our own pinfish using a bait trap and freeline them behind the boat in the outgoing current. Live crabs also work extremely well and in some cases, even better than pinfish. It doesn't seem to matter what time of day, as long as you have a good outgoing tide.
This fishery is good year round, but the action seems to really pick up in September and October.
We hope you find this video useful and if so, please consider leaving us a comment, sharing our video and of course, subscribing so you don't miss our upcoming adventures! Thank you for watching!

Free lining pin fish with no weight? Where the pin fish just surfacing or swimming down? Nice catches
Yes sir- that’s how we do it 99% of the time. Pin fish swims just under the surface. If I see a bunch of fish on my screen towards the bottom I may drop one down with a weight. But all these were caught freelined or with my buck tail jig🤘
@@thereel850 nice, likely they would blow up on a top water plug too then.
Wow!! All great fish... but that first on had a gigantic head.. nice work😊
Holy Crap! Those bulls were hogs! Good day at the bridge.
Great video. Likening the snapshots and music. And of course the fishing
Appreciate you watching!
Wow, the fish streak is extraordinary
I have to ask why aren't you harvesting them?
In Florida, redfish must be between 18-27” to keep. All of these fish were well over 27”!
Awesome trip.
Thank you!
Nice video...those Reds were huge!!
There’s some out there much bigger!
