Fishing Marathon & The Florida Keys: Red Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Tuna & Mahi
We trailered the Pathfinder 2400 TRS down to Marathon and The Florida Keys and did our best to fish under less than ideal conditions, including strong winds, rough seas and thunderstorms. We managed fresh fish each night of our stay and had a great time learning new techniques catching red grouper, mangrove snapper, mahi, yellowtail snapper, blackfin tuna and skipjack tuna.
This was our first time fishing Florida Bay. Thanks to tips from folks online and from the friendly staff at Two Conchs we were able to salvage our week.
Thank you to our current subscribers and a special shout out to the family that came over and spoke with us after recognizing our boat! We appreciate all of you and really enjoy meeting folks that watch our channel.
Cheers!
Jay & Elizabeth

We kicked off our opening trip of the 2024 Red Snapper season 25 miles offshore out of Panama City Beach. The weather was perfect, seas were calm and we had plenty of bait. We ended up with what I am calling a "snapper slam" 4 different species of snapper and plenty of tasty fresh fish for dinner and the freezer. Thank you for choosing to watch our channel. We spent another weekend fishing offshore in Panama City Beach, Florida and finally landed a KEEPER Trigger Fish! It seems like when the season is open for these tasty fish, we always end up catching these just under the legal size limit. We don't venture far enough offshore to routinely catch those larger sized trigger fish, so we were happy to see one come in the boat that we could harvest fo...

Thank you for reaching out! Hole shot is very good with the 4 blade and trim tabs down. I haven’t really pushed the top end speed- I’ve had it up to the low 50’s when I was running from a storm. 99% of the time I run about 32-38 mph and I believe that’s around 4200-4800 rpm. Gets about 2.8 - 3.2 mpg. Hope you enjoy it!

chumming is my favorite way to catch red snapper and mangrove's. last week we had to drop our leader size to 30# to get them to bite our bait. when ARS season opens in panama city beach chumming is the only way i can catch keeper red snapper i dont know if its the fishing pressure or what but it seams like they are easy to catch any other time of year.

Hey thanks for reaching out- that’s a good question. Pensacola is a great area with beautiful water but we don’t know the waters. Great downtown area and it seems to be growing. If you don’t like the crowds, Milton, Crestview or Niceville would keep you within 45 minutes from Navarre and probably more affordable. You should check out PCB area- it’s about 1 1/2 hour to Navarre but growing and several piers here as well - Good luck and thanks for watching!
