This video was the first one of your videos that I ever watched when I was thinking about learning how to knit and make socks! I didn’t start knitting until later but I had subscribed after watching this and many others and watching all your videos really inspired me to get started. I used Carlos’s tutorials to learn and cha-cha-cha’d all my purls until it became second nature. 😂
Watching this video this time I actually understand what’s going on having knit many pairs now.
Great video and hope you’re enjoying your break!

Hi lovely Friends! You know this was the very first video I ever watched? I was really wanting to learn how to knit socks. After watching this video, I did knit a pair of socks and went on to learn how to knit Norwegian style. That was three years ago. Thanks for just being you! I enjoy every video and have learned so much. Although we have never met, I feel you are my friends. Keep up the great encouraging work! Hugs!

This is the first time I remember Arne having the correct English word instead of Carlos - the part at the top of the sock is called the cuff, not the hem! Anyway, it's very relaxing watching you knit with the lake in the background. It's good to try all the different kinds of heels so you can choose your favorite. That is my summer project this year.

Actually this happens a bit - it's just that Carlos is more self assured and Arne is less confident than he should be...But I think that it was partly that Carlos also wasn't sure what Arne was referencing.

Thanks for today’s sit and knit. Sadly I could never knit with four needles. But Arne you always make it look so easy. I am left handed and as a result my rows don’t seem to always agree with the pattern ,can sort on two needles but no way for four. I would maybe have a very odd looking sock hehe. Maybe just me. Love your jumper Arne really looks nice. Enjoy the rest of your hols looking forward to seeing you both again after your well deserved break. Both take care.

First time here on this tuturial. I start with the positive coments: that Arne or both of you explained quit well verbally.
Now the negative is that the video was far, so I could not see where to increased.
Secondly, I did or could not see how you removed the red garn, nor how the other garn hung at both ends of the sides.
Ofcourse everything is easy when you know how to do it 😄. I normally knit my socks with a circular pin or loop from either way.
I just love watching you and getting more tips and ideas from you because you are quite gifted when it comes to knitting.
And I also find your interaction with one another very fascinating and humorous.
    Keep it up 👍🏽.

Hi Arne, I noticed that when you cast on the 16 stitches, it leaves a hole that you now need to sew up. I learned the Judy's Magic Cast on with 10 or 12 stitches each on two needles and it doesn't leave a hole. I was away from home for 3 months while my house was being renovated and thought it was time to learn toe up socks, so I made 6 pairs in 5 weeks. I made many pairs years ago but used the top down flap and gusset pattern. I will be making many many more pairs.

@@ARNECARLOS Hi, my question was not how to knit the heel, but where to insert it. Because I did not know where to put the waste yarn, I knitted the sock as a tube. I would like to do a true afterthought heal But I do not know where in the sock to insert it. This question has been asked by many on knitting sites. There does not seem to be a good answer anywhere.Thank you!
