  • HI everyone!
We are back in the studio and pleased to do yet another long podcast for you!
This time, we will crochet some flowers while we talk about a number of different things, so pull up your favourite chair, pour yourself a cup og tea, grab your crochet or knitting and let's get started!. The flowers are part of a large throw that we showed in a LiveStream, last year and we were contacted by many people about the pattern. How to crochet a flower.
We are delighted to let you know that finally, you can get the pattern for this colourful floral throw on our website.
    Get the pattern here: arnecarlos.com/shop/product/h...

I balked at 8 dollars for a pattern, but as I watched this, and watched the joining stitch and viewed the finished blanket on the seat of your car, I'm more like shut up and take my money! It is breathtaking work, and will be worth every cent for all the work you have put into it.. headed back over to the shop, this is a must have pattern!

Arne is very strong to be able to snap the yarn instead of using scissors. He is a fast crocheter...beautiful work.

I so enjoy watching Arne crochet or knit , while Carlos chats and tells stories. Absolutely stunning throw! This is easily the modern edition to a granny square throw. What a fabulous heirloom for generations to come. Thank you so much❤️ ✌🏻❤️🧶. Btw. Arne your English is very good. And getting better all the time ❤️👍🏻

I love how Arne holds his crochet hook, fabulous....It's been pointed out to me I don't hold my hook the proper way, I could care less as long as it gets the job done...we're not in the Victorian Era....

You two will adore Santa Fe and Taos...my husband's and my favorite place. Taos has a wool festival the first weekend in October every year. We live in Colorado about 8 hours north and it's our tradition to spend Christmas eve there. My maternal relatives are Norwegian from the Oppland area and I think they came to Colorado because it reminded them of home. I'm happy I grew up here, so close to New Mexico.

Arne, your English is charming. I love to hear you speak, especially when you slip into Norweigan while searching for a word.

Carlos you'd be excellent in radio, you have a great voice, you're knowledgeable about so much & you explain things well. Arne, you & I have the same interests in gardening & antiques. Like you, I'd never be able to sell any antiques.🤣

How is it an hour has passed; it seems like I just clicked a few minutes ago. What an awesome vid! Arne, your crocheting is absolutely mesmerizing, the word that actually comes to mind is tranquility. I’m so excited to start my flower afghan. I’ve been looking all over the internet for different patterns similar to yours and have been frustrated, because I need this for my son and his SO. They’re moving into their new home and both love sunflowers. This will be their housewarming gift. Thanks again for such a wonderful video and for making your pattern available. Ok, gotta go make a purchase.

Yes Carlos, when I was in college studying Fashion Merchandising (my major ‘85) - we learned Fashion Repeats itself Every 30 years. ( I have always gone by intuition as well, and I am so different I consider myself as a trendsetter, rather than a follower;) 😆🤓🥳) And our Senior class in College went to NYC (Fall of 1985) to study fashion by touring designers, Parsons School of Design, Fashion Institute of Technology where we saw many original garments from Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind…

Please keep going forever. At least until I turn 60 in August 2025 so I can celebrate on a knitting cruise with you both as my guides! A dream!!! My friends in Stavanger have been sailing so good weather for that.
