There is also the korg MS-20 above the MPC60 , two dat / cassette players , Boss 303 Bassline Guitar pedal , handmade proto synth above his left hand and ofcourse, his door keys. ( Those keys were sampled for ibiza spliff and many more )
He spared us the sorrow of this track, from 'i care because you do'. It would have been too much for us to take, back then. Only now are we finally able to handle the depth and loneliness of this story.
I literally can't imagine my life without Aphex Twin and Autechre. They are the only reason I still want to live. Sounds ridiculous, but that's how I feel
Kholden Caulfield i think all the misery of life is worth it just because of all the little moments of beauty, joy, and curiosity it provides to you every now and then. I think their music evokes all of that and helps justify getting through the day
@Bighead Tylenol not sure if you tried to offend me or not. anyways, you can't really define my mindset having read 1 message of mine. when I had some tough times.
I was listening to this song with my eyes closed, half asleep, then I cracked them open for a split second, I saw the photo as a mom and a dad feeding a baby
The drum loop is so distorted and dirty and the way it slowly gets more and more dreamy as that beautiful synth comes in is perfect. Gives it a sort of lonely sci-fi vibe. One of my favorite aphex tracks for sure Ps play at .75
A lot of these tracks seem like they couldve been grouped with each other. Its like he had like 6 albums planned and scrapped them. Theres a couple other tracks with the high pitched noise between them
@@nonentity7709 like, you get used to the order in which your brain hears the different layers of the music when you hear them all get introduced, but when you start them all at once it sounds different to me

There's no point denying it, that's a fuckin belter of a track.

@@nonentity7709 what's your favorite Autechre album?
this is like the melancholic brother of acrid avid jam shred
brainstone that song is melancholy already; this one is haunting
I think this is my favorite Aphex track.
A bit of 80's synth, a bit of 90's acid rumble all adds up to one of my favorite AT tracks.
This is my top 7 Aphex Twin tracks. It sort of resembles how I feel, along with airflow.

The deep cuts are the best

Tubular bells esque
Aphex doesn’t inspire me. He tells my subconscious to do what you want without maybe even consciously thinking that...
Yes i see this joy in his music
Sounds more like Boards of Canada than Aphex Twin?
Choooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D

What drum machine did he use to get those crunchy drum samples
It honestly sounds like this specific 8-track drum looper where you use a knob to quickly move to the sounds on the tape but it probably isnt
@@user-zn3kj3qo1kwho knows but that sounds like an intreseting instrument

Mario Party samples?

no.
Not at all. I detect no melancholy whatsoever. It's more, idk...pensive?
