I know this video has been up for 4 years now, but the stato-seal washers actually go on the two inside studs and the main wire harness should be routed around the dip stick to prevent that harsh angle on the wires according to the banks install manual.
Jim, there is a small performance gain (about 1/2 pound boost PSI) from deleting the heater grid; however, if you live someplace cold, you'll need the heater block in the winter time. In your case, maybe better just to leave it in.

So you would only gain 1/2 pound boost how about milage or Hp ?

do not remove the heater
