    🔐Schlage Kwikset Sargent and Yale locks should be used on your own front door. Lock pickers and criminals Will have a hard time picking any of these locks. The only way you can stop brute forced entry is with a good surveillance camera. Subscribe to my locksmith channel to learn more.

    just surfing through Lishi videos... bought one of these so I could find out the key cut for the roof access of my apartment building... hehehe I like to go there at night but the doors are locked so I figured instead of picking it every time i'd just get my own key. Anyways thanks for the review.

    THANK YOU, for your work with the multimeter {edit: Digi-calipers} (Mitutoyo!) and for your going to all the trouble to find the differences between those Lishi Keys!! I’ve found them to be fascinating marvels of mechanical machining, just by simply inspecting them with a magnifying glass. If I had to remove that pick I would’ve probably drilled out the little levering handle - only to be surprised when I couldn’t get it freed from that focal point lug within !

      There is astounding. It looks like they weld them as well. I just had to buy two new ones because I bent the pic. Stay tuned for that video. You should love it.

    Add a lot of tension work on the pics that you can set and the springy ones should bind. It’s going good don’t give up that pick is invincible.

    Great job on this, yeah I was wondering because I figure in order to fit in so many keyways it must be thinner and therefore more fragile, glad to hear it’s not more fragile in your experience so far. I agree if you’re on limited funds, it is the most versatile and probably the one to get first. The Red Team Tools “Lishi Standoff Spacers” are good for converting a 6-pin Schlage Lishi to 5-pin temporarily, if you’re not familiar with them. I didn’t realize Lishi sold replacement pick tips; I haven’t had one break yet but will add it to my shipping list anyway just in case. Thanks again 😊

    I should’ve gotten the sc20 but I originally bought the sc4 and use the stand-off spacers for 5 pin locks. And I haven’t really had any problems with the sc4 tools but I do occasionally find my kw1 lishi tools will not go into some kw1 keyways. DeviantOlam did a great training vid on the sc1/4/20’s and showed some other stuff that was interesting to know. Thanks for sharing!

      @@Rouxeashil sad thing is I went out to my truck and got my KW5 pic started picking the door the KW5 cylinder, which is nothing more than a KW1 in a 6 Pin configuration, I know more than put it in there and the door was open in swing right in swing. I stuck the pic in swung the tension bar out turn my back and the door closed snapped the pic off. I can’t hardly believe it it really is $70 worth of sadness. Now I have to buy a new one. @doorandlocktips  11 місяців тому +2

      @thesaltineking5026 if I were you and you don’t work with commercial you really don’t need it but then you’ll probably need it but
      if someone does what I did on a KW5, adding a number seven pin, which makes it impossible for the Lishi to pick
      watch this video ua-cam.com/video/iHa6jIfFXZA/v-deo.htmlsi=6M8GNKaYAd38qb1K
      all the way through and then maybe you can make a good decision they’re only in commercial applications the KW5 but like I say if they use a number seven pin Lishi won’t fit

    • @doorandlocktips
      @doorandlocktips  4 місяці тому +2

      You must lubricate your cylinder and I mean heavy spray it with TriFlo and put the lightest touch you’ve ever had put to a pic. Let them fall down each pin as you’re picking that will show you that you’re too lite and as they just start to bind that’s the tension you need about the tension you put on your keypad pushing down let’s say the letter a on your keypad on your Mac computer

    • @doorandlocktips
      @doorandlocktips  4 місяці тому +2

      Try lubricating it with tri flow. That’s probably what you’re doing wrong. I can’t say for sure, but you can easily pick the lock with this thing those SC1 cylinders are like not even even in your road so try lubricating it and when you pick the light tensionclockwise and try picking it that way and they counterclockwise and try picking it that way

    looking at that locking collar which holds the sliding pick with the small pin i would have one tool which if you wrecked put the tool on a milling machine and cut it till you break into that key way then you could have one tool that you could put any picks in ?
