Linda was the first female to sell out stadium concerts. She successfully mastered Rock, Pop, Country, Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Orchestra / American Standards, Light Opera, Children's Lullaby and Mariachi / Ranchera. Probably the most respected professional vocalist in the music industry. Never auto tuned - just pure crystal. Well worth your time to experience this amazing woman's vocal abilities as she bravely ventures into different genres. She's beautiful, too!
Her father's family is from Mexico and she grew up in Tucson near the border. She did a very successful Spanish-language album in the 80s.
Love Linda Ronstadt, her songs were a constant for me in the 70's. I loved her rock music but she branched out later in life into other genres. She can sing anything beautifully.
Linda is one of the greatest female artists ever!
not even close....check out Lucy Thomas !!!
She absolutely is one of the greatest, ever. Seen her live. She’s so phenomenal, it’s unreal.
@@wilburfinnigan2142Linda and Karen Carpenter, Lucy comes third. Many of their performances were live as opposed to studio recordings off now. My all time favourite had to be Karen Carpenter.

Lucy Thomas is good, but not that good.
The greatest, most diverse female vocalist of her generation.
The lovely Linda no one can touch her, she was one of the top female artists of the 70's and 80's, she did this live, no auto tune artists don't perform like this anymore. She was a pure musical genius who explored multiple musical genres and was a smashing success in all of them!
chenderson Lucy Thomas is 10 times better singer than this !!!!
@@wilburfinnigan2142😂
She did many genres and was outstanding at all of them. She did 2 albums of Mexican Mariachi music. Try La Charreada
Linda started in a band "The Stone Pony" in the 60's. Later in her solo career she had two of the Eagles band members as her back-up band (Glen Fry and Don Henley). She sand their song Desperado to help them get more recognition at their request. She had two Grammy Win Country Album with Dolly Parton & Emmy Lou Harris. Two Grammy Win Spanish Albums "Canciones De Me Padre and Mas Canciones. She has so much depth, I highly recommend that you to check our her Academy Award Biography Documentary "The Sound of My Voice". All told by her in her own words.
That’s incredible! Thank you so much for providing us with a part of her story 🫶🏽
13 Grammys in all over her career
Just a piano and that beautiful voice.
There's something truly magical about the simplicity of just a piano and a beautiful voice. It allows the raw emotion and talent of the singer to shine through, creating an intimate and captivating listening experience.
@@SimplyTwoDudes you guys can do a deep dive into Linda’s music.
She's from Tucson, AZ
You may have just heard the best female voice ever!..lol Although Karen Carpenter is right there too. Linda’s “Blue Bayou” will blow you away as well
Her father is mostly Mexican, her mother American. Her great, great grandfather moved from Germany to Mexico in the 1800s.
This song is on the album of the same name and the theme of this album is basically about the old west. I think this song is a perspective of the loneliness of the cowboy and riding the range. This is just like watching the life of this cowboy and what it feels like. Her family is of Mexican descent with a German male ancestor.
Oh snap! What a mix! Thanks for sharing the interpretation! 🙌🏽🔥
❤❤❤THE EAGLES WERE HER BACK UP BAND..THIS WAS THEIR SONG..DIDNT GO ANYWHERE UNTIL SHE SANG IT..WENT NUMBER 1 BOTH TIMES..
Queen of the 70s
Best selling female artist of the 70s
Long, Long time live 1970
She has done Latin music and opera , the all American Song Book too !
Explore Cancione de mi Padre.
ok!
She does not speak Spanish, she had to learn for the album. One of the best singers of the time 35 years before autotune.
She far outclasses today's singers. Sung Rock, Country, Jazz, Latin, 1950's classics, Opera
Linda Mexican-American from Tucson, Arizona dad's Mexican moms German
oh nice, thank you for that!
Her dad was Mexican and mom was from Michigan
That's an interesting heritage blend! It's always fascinating to learn about the backgrounds and influences that shape artists. Thanks for sharing that tidbit! 🌎🎶
You have just heard the most beautiful voice on the planet. This was originally an Eagles song until Linda covered it and took it to a new level. She has a forty year catalogue spanning multiple genres. And yes, she did three albums of Mariachi music all in Spanish to honor her Mexican roots but most of her work is done in English. She could sing anything and make it her own. Please explore her music further. You will not be disappointed. Love your reaction. Good luck with your channel. 🌺✌️
debbiechange You obviously have never heard Lucy Thomas sing !!! Lucy sang this song at 14 and blew this woman out of the water !!
@@wilburfinnigan2142
I was unfamiliar with the artist you mentioned so I looked her up and listened to some of her music. She does have a nice voice although a bit too nasal for my liking. In my opinion she doesn’t even come close to Linda. But that’s ok. You enjoy her voice and that’s really all that matters. Peace brother 🌺✌️
@@wilburfinnigan2142just checked it out. Not even close to Linda and I never heard of Lucy Thomas.
She has some of the cleanest, purest vocals I've ever heard, simply beautiful. I believe she is from Tucson Arizona. Here's another suggestion for another one of her songs, if interested. This time she's singing a duet "Linda Ronstadt & Aaron Neville - Don't Know Much Live 1990" get ready to hear some amazing vocals 🤯🎶This was a fun reaction thanks for sharing.
Its been a while since I heard her but she can definitely sing always enjoy your reactions you guys are never boring keep it lively
Check out Linda's Spanish albums.
La Charreada live
She has a version of Blue Bayou(my fave) with some Spanish lyrics. I really like how y'all react to a variety of genres ❤️ and still waiting for a Jonathan Antoine reaction!
Please react "Carpenters Desperado" Karen voice is amazing 🤭🤭
I find the Carpenter's version more suited for the elevator. Too low key for my tastes.
PLEASE WATCCH PAPITO BANANITO 1/4 BEATLAND ITS A BANGER BEST DRILL BEAT BOX
Her father was born in Germany but his family immigrated to Mexico when he was a child. She recorded an album of Mariachi music to honor her father.
Neither she or the Eagles released Desperado as a single. But Linda made it a classic.
She's amazing !
Dude this is no lie, she was every young man’s crush in the 70’s! She is monster talent...so diversified. Check out her Mariachi music, she also has a big band catalogue. The Eagles were her backup band before they went on their own!😎❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 She half Mexican/German! It’s about a lonely hard headed cowboy...you got it right. “He’s been out fences, for so long it ain’t true”.
❤️❤️❤️
