I am not a shiplap fan, but I can see how this would be an easy project in one of my rentals in place of doing drywall repair. Kick the can down the road.
It’s like any wood project. So a saw 🪚 could work. If you don’t like the idea of holding a circular saw, just borrow or rent a chop saw. They sit on a flat surface and very stable, you can go slow and take your time.
As far as costs if you do it yourself you may save a few bucks. It’s mostly an easy diy option for people to make accent walls and such without having to call in a professional 👍🏼😊 Good luck to you

Howdy. I liked that there’s no finish work needed and it might hold up better than drywall in a rental? 😊
@HomeRapidRepair what if you dont have a circular saw. Never used one...they scare me lol...any other way to cut the shiplap?

Is this a cheaper alternative than pulling out old wall paneling and replacing with sheetrock and painting?
