Great stuff. This is exactly what I want to do in my basement storage to turn it into an office space. I really appreciate you kept the backwards cut. Even the top guys make mistakes.
Oh that's awesome! I think I will be making more shiplap videos over on our Shed to House channel, so please be sure to go subscribe over there so you don't miss it: www.youtube.com/@shedtohouse
Looks good. That's a lot of exposed nail heads. I hadn't thought about that versus tongue and groove. As for tool nicknames, my wife refers to a reciprocating saw as a Zaw Zaw.
This is perfect. We’re going to use shiplap for our shed conversion. Luckily we don’t have outlets, but we will have windows to cut around. We don’t really have much power tools so if we have to rent one for cuts, what would be the best saw to use?
Wow. Thank you for the video. After seen your video I made up my mine. I will do the shiplap board in my two door garage. Instead of using PVC which is very expensive. Any advice will greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the video. My wife is making a shed into a mediation room or her ZenDen. She wants just the ceiling ship lapped. Did you ever make that video? Thanks again for making this video.
We went with it bc we liked the look and could install it quickly on our own. It didn’t save us any money. But we would have hired out dry wall installation. Loads of people do that on their own too. You’ll save money if you have that skill bc dry wall supplies are much lower than shiplap. The drywall labor is costly bc it really is a skill!
@Better Together Homestead thanks so much!! I am thinking g about doing ship lap as my wife loves the way it would look in a pool house shed. I did receive a couple of prices to sheetrock, tape and paint for around $3300.00.
Totally up to you. It wasn’t cost efficient for us to wait and get on someone’s schedule to do dry wall. And the labor is costly. We also knew we wanted the shiplap look. So we saved on labor, but had the cost of material. It was about a wash in money cost. It obviously took longer to put up since we did it ourselves. But we did get to make a cool video for you. So that’s a win too!
I personally would never “knowingly” use MDF. I don’t like how it reacts to moisture. I’ve had good experience with this pine shiplap with two buildings now.
YES, PLEASE DO A VIDEO SHOWING HOW TO DO A SHIPLAP CEILING . OUR HOUSE IS PLAN JANE ONLY HAS INSULATION. DO YOU RECOMMEND SPRAY FOAM INSULATION FOR THE WALLS? I DONT EXPECT YOU TO ANSWER MY COMMENT BECAUSE YOU'RE A HUGE CHANNEL AND PROBABLY TO BUSY BUT IM TRYING.
Love your channel. I have a question I'm praying someone could help me with. I am doing a shed to tiny home. I have metal ceilings that have no plywood under. I tried to put regular fiberglass insulation up and its dripping everywhere. Would some one please give me some knowledge to resolve this issue. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. Roseanna
Roseanna, have you joined our shed to house Facebook group? That is dedicated to Shed to House conversions and you will get tons of ideas for any question you might have!! 😁👍🏻
Jesus Christ died for all of our sins. He died the death we all deserved. He was the perfect one who never sinned once, but he loved us so much he decided to die for us so our sins would be paid for and we can enter the Kingdom of Heaven before God the Father blamelessly. He is the living son of God who wants to know us and have a personal relationship with us. No matter what you have done no matter how far gone you think you are Jesus can and will save you. All you have to do is confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior. Believe that he died on the cross for your sins and had a bodily resurrection 3 days later. We cannot be saved by our works but by faith in Christ alone. Repent and turn to Christ. You will have joy, happiness, love, and peace beyond understanding.

Please show the video for the ceiling! It looks great!
Great stuff. This is exactly what I want to do in my basement storage to turn it into an office space. I really appreciate you kept the backwards cut. Even the top guys make mistakes.
Oh yay! So glad the video was helpful for you!!
This is just the video I needed! Installing shiplap in new construction😉. Thank you!!!
Oh AWESOME!!!! Yea this video hasn’t really taken off yet. Super glad that you found it helpful.
I probably need to change the title/thumbnail. 🤣🤣
YES! We need to see how a ceiling is done in a new build!
Looks good.. i would have bought the plastic junction box extenders instead of those jinky rubber tabs but it came out well.
Hi.... Thank you 🎥👍👍👍
Please do video for the ceiling.
Yes for sure I want to know how to shiplap a ceiling

How beautiful. You make this look so easy.
Yes I’d really like to see the ceiling done
Would be great to see video of shiplap installation on ceiling. Yours looks great. Thanks

Awesome, you can do this!!!!
Yes I’d love a video on the ceiling as well
Looks great . Just use spark rings on the outlets and good to go !
need to see the ceiling install too - Please
for the corners where the shiplap meets, did you just but them up against each other or add a trim piece?
Exactly! They have a trim piece that is a 90 degree angle. For both convex and concave corners.
Fits perfectly.
Please show the ceiling install, this is exactly what I need on a cathedral type ceiling!
What if some studs stick out further than the others? Did you shim anything?
Enjoyed this video. Thank you.
Wonderful job! I want to do my atrium, will this work with outside weather. I have a open roof?
Well thank you Robin!
No I don’t believe this will work outside. This is interior wood.
Wow. Thank you for the video. After seen your video I made up my mine. I will do the shiplap board in my two door garage. Instead of using PVC which is very expensive. Any advice will greatly appreciated.
Also, what stud finder do you use/recommend? I went to your preferred tools list on Amazon and didn't see it listed.
good tips
Thanks for the video. My wife is making a shed into a mediation room or her ZenDen. She wants just the ceiling ship lapped. Did you ever make that video? Thanks again for making this video.
Oh that’s so awesome! Thank you for watching and appreciating the video. Congrats on the mediation room!!! 😁
What's your opinion on using shiplap on metal studs? I would love to hear your thoughts.
Ceiling! Hell yes!
The "Giggity" - ha, love that!!
😆👍🏻👍🏻
Looks great! Is doing shiplap cheaper or same price as doing sheetrock, tape and paint.

How high you go on your electrical outlets
How do u put shiplap on open doorway without facings
Not sure I understand your question. Sorry.
Yes sir show us how to do the ceiling.
What do you do about corners where two walls meet? 45 degree miter cuts or you just overlap one side on top of the other?
Yep!
@@BetterTogetherLife Yep to which one?
In a new construction do you feel like it’s more cost efficient to use shiplap vs paying labor cost for drywall ?

What's your opinion on using MDF vs pine? I've heard pros and cons to both. Would like to know your personal opinion.
I personally would never “knowingly” use MDF. I don’t like how it reacts to moisture.

Yes please on the ceiling
Ceiling please!!

@@BetterTogetherLife I have not. I am doing that now...Thank you!
Ceiling video please!!!!!!
Cieling!
Ceiling please! Great video
Dang....the price of shiplap is almost double now 😳😳
Thought it’d be funny to compare the price of wood from then till now. They’re over $17 a piece 🙄
Yikes!!!

Ryobi tools are so cringe.
