    I toured FOH in the late 70's and early 80's, we had these monster size desk, with 4 racks full of outboard effects , compressors, eq,s, all redundant, and it's wild seeing it all in one mid size case these days

    Loving the videos! Is it possible in addition to how you mic up the drum set, you can also show how the guitars and bass are ran to? I'm assuming they are just Direct Out of whatever Quad Cortex/Kemper/AxeFx is being used, but I love seeing the nerdy stuff of how things are routed.

    Great video of life on tour. Should showcase a video of your favorite things on your dlive and working around the console. I love the dlive and would love to see others on how they work their dlive shows! One question my engineer friend and I are curious how much this happens on most tours; do you "time align" your drum mics down to the wave form lining up & hitting dead on for each show?? Lots of skills there I'm sure; I tip my hat to you guys.

    • @RattlinBonesClub

      I actually filmed a full run though of my show file from this tour and realised after it was in the wrong frame rate or something and the footage was unusable.... Ill probably try and do it again next time i hire a dlive!

    Is the KSL house PA or are you at the stage where you're able to tour your own PA? How do you find the SL series, do you find the cardioid design to be a benefit for the band? Do you know if the system was AP?

    • @RattlinBonesClub
      @RattlinBonesClub  2 місяці тому

      This venue doesn't have any PA in so we had to bring the PA in for this show. KSL was my choice for this room for a tight sound down the narrow room. It worked really well!

      I am guessing great minds think alike?
      I have been part of the A&H family since when the GL2 was still very current. Seen the lows when Soundcraft and Midas (among others) were the "better brands" and A&H was seen as a lesser brand.
      Glad to see young(er) engineers appreciate the brand again as I have always been a believer. Not to mention the excellent support received from both their distributor as well as A&H themselves going above and beyond to the point of getting a package a few weeks after Prolight and Sound with a custom solution to a problem I discussed with one of their engineers at Prolight and Sound.
      Those are things that tie you to a brand for life.

      @@jamesstevenson9340 Well, I do this with drum rigs, keyboard rigs and percussion. We came to the conclusion that the hours we save assembling far outweighs the space we save in the truck. As long as everything is tightly secured there's very little chance of damage.

A rectangular box with a low roof. Hot, terrible sightlines, poor parking facilities. Yet major acts played their e.g. Yes, Floyd, The Who, Rush until arenas were built.
