Wish all my load outs could be at 2x speed lol
Been doing this work for 30 years now, Nice to sit on my couch and watch someone else work for once! Lol thanks for the video!
I‘m on sound , but doing it as long as you, and I couldn’t agree more, especially while enjoying a drink.
I worked with Bassnectar from 2010-2013 only becasue I knew someone but if I didnt know someone how would I go about getting into this kind of work?
This is my life, the cables, the slightly rushed speed walking, all of it. I loved this video, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I wish there were more videos like this around. Thanks for this!
same!
More to come!
I had a cool lighting gig in the late 80s ...all the free Monday Night Concerts at Dallas Alley .... nothing but socapex cables and ALOT of box truss .... best job I ever had ....can't say I miss the load outs til 2am but DAMN
I have 4 gigs this week... Yet here i am in a moment of free time watching someone else do a gig.....
You must love what you do 🤘
@@RiddleLights 100%, been doing it 20 years now, really can't imagine doing anything else.
I so don't miss this work
Just got a TD position with Mountain View Staging, love the strike, I can fall asleep to this....
If I had a dollar every time you unplugged, plugged something 😍🤪
(28:10) - (28:36) Sorry about this clip repeating over a couple times about Me and this Down-Rigger singing one of AVICII's songs XD
Good watch on a rare off day on a sunday, id watch more if there was more.
Sad you didn't end up uploading more. Not even sure if you'll end up seeing this comment but thanks for this :)
Maybe you would be interested to know that he did upload more similar videos in the last couple days/weeks so we might be getting more of this content in the future.
@@finntegeler thank you I did see that, I’m hoping so :D
I need to start doing this !
I'm your 1,000th subscriber.
Thank you so much !!!!!!!❤️
Dude the conversation about, wake me up when it's over, repeated like 4 times lol
Don’t know how this happened
Going to upload a different version of this 😊
Just curious if @matthorndrums got you doing POV live setups ? Love it my guy! My dad used to rig for Pink Floyd, I got to see some incredible shows being set up!
Haven't heard of him till now, but what a gig he got to be on!
@@RiddleLights Absolutely! He even does the front of house walk every tour as he realizes his progress!
Sorry parents, if you're watching this, for my trucker mouth XD
Anyone know what that moving bar light is? Model and brand. Thanks.
Also if anyone has some good suggestions for other moving bar lights! ❤
The bar light is called a GLP X4 Bar 20
may I ask what your gloves of choice are?
I don’t normally wear them because i don’t mind getting dirty but when I’m dealing with Motor chain grease I use, HART Leather Palm Work Gloves, 5-Finger Touchscreen Capable
(In this video, I’m wearing a pair of ripped up Lowe’s MECHANIX gloves )
"Fuckin Chairs ..."
What gas is being released from the cylinders? (0:35)
50lb CO2 cylinders for SKILLETS pyro effects
How did you get this job/get your start in the industry?
Graduated Full Sail University with a Bachelor's Degree in Show Production.
Got hired right out of school to start working for a Company called Bandit Lites. Check them out! Great people over there!
Would you say fullsail was worth it for show production?
@@jakevinton2075 100%🔥
Man that is lucky, when I was thinking about applying I talked to recruiters for companys and they said a lot of companys wont event take people from full sail, glad it worked out for you.@@RiddleLights
Got any put it together vids...?
Coming soon ;)
Tape to tie the cables together? Why no velcro or even better drums?
Velcro ties die quickly on the road, drums waste space. Tape is industry standard because it's quick and easy to break on loadouts plus every tech always has a roll of tape on their person.
bandit lighting ive applied
Hope things work out for you!
Man how do youi get a job like this?
Do your research and Go to school for it, I went to school for it and got hired right of college.
@9:00 Was that and FOH Loom? watching this I can smell dirty rubber!
You are correct!
0:44 Is that guy just venting all of those CO2 tanks into room? Why?
Apologies, I wish I had confidence in my answer but I honestly don’t know why he vented in the room. Doesn’t hurt anyone or anything, never questioned it
You guys are using some shitty old CEE connectors. I see some old Ilme and/or Walter, Bals, Mennekes and so on.
Luckily we in Europe moved on. Not to mention that nowadays you can get them in black...
THANKS Richard! This gig was in 2022.
Also Bandit the company loved them
As a DJ in France 🇫🇷 just found this vidéo on YT ! So great ! Thanks for sharing ! Take care
You are at work and not at home on your sofa ... get some appropriate trousers 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
He's not an office worker. What he's wearing is just fine for the work he's doing.
It's not. @@Alloneword-cp2xw
@@julianreverse are you on a crew? Have you ever set up or struck an event? With over 40 years of doing this, never had issues with sweats.
Yes I am. And you wouldn't even get off the bus with me like that. @@andyevans2336
It comes down to practicality, if I was doing a corporate event with a bunch of suits on site, I’m obviously not going to wear sweats.
But for a load out that I’ve 20 something times already? Imma wear some sweats lol.
