Absolutely one of the best singers I've ever heard. Patti LaBelle's not-so-good all she does is scream scream scream songs. Donna you can hear her voice and words clearly now she's singing in heaven with Jesus 😍
Greatest female singer of all time. Not only kicked down the door, but built a whole new highway for female singers to travel down. Without her, there would be no, Beyonce, Taylor Swift or Rhianna.
Donna Summer was immensely talented but she didn't kick down any doors. That had already been done by Diana Ross, Roberta Flack, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Cher, Patti LaBelle and a few others.
Flawless. Pitch perfect. Never a misfire. And the power! She made it all look effortless. It's a very rare thing to sing so loudly, with such power and still be controlled and musical. God I miss her.
With ya all the way. Her effortlessness was almost a greater gift than that magnificent, powerful voice...never mind the beautiful face. I thank the heavens for the complete Ladonna Gaines package. She was already halfway to heaven when she was just born.
Whenever someone says "Disco sucks" I can only reply that they must never have heard Donna Summer. Yeah.....disco defined her, but that woman could sing ANYTHING.

I had an uncle in the music recording industry. He once said to me that Donna Summer was the only performer that he had ever seen that TRULY knew how to hold a Mic. The distance from her mouth truly expressed her magnificent vocals.
In 1980, she felt a great need to go back to her Christian roots and didn't let hollywood tell her what to do or sing and didn't care to know what she won for awards, the competition, etc. ...which hollywood likes to shun when that is in a person they think is in the palm of their hands. She also had told them that she was there to sing. She began singing in church when she was eight-years-old... "I opened my mouth and this voice just shot out of me. It shocked me and it shocked everyone in the room. I started crying and everyone in the room started crying. There is no doubt in my mind that God gave me this voice." -LaDonna Gaines (Donna Summer)

She was one very talented lady who certainly left her mark in the music industry. I was very saddened by her death seven years ago. She was one of the most talented women singers of her era, better known as the Disco Queen. I remember hearing this song just about every day in 1978 when I was getting ready for school. This song shows her vocal range so well that one would never know that she was covering a song originally sung by a man.
Jamil Gotcher , I feel the same way about Whitney Houston, Dolores O’Riordan of the 1990s Group, The Cranberries. Wonderful guy singers such as Prince, Tom Petty, David Bowie, Freddy Mercury. These people each left their mark in my opinion.

One of the greatest voices of our generation. This song holds a very special place in my heart with maestro Mike Renzi. So honored to have performed as a bg vocalist on Enough is Enough single. Gone to soon but always lovingly remembered.
I can't believe that it's 9 years ago today that we lost one of the greatest vocalists of all time. Donna Summer made singing look effortless and was underrated by many when she was alive. She however stands high in the pantheon of legendary music icons. We are fortunate that the music she left behind will be with us for eternity for future generations. RIP. Donna, you were simply a bright star that time will never diminish xx
Im in tears watching this. I love her so much n her songs are timeless like her. So broken that I'll get to see her live. What an eternal gift she has left for humanity.
I can't express my gratitude for being able to watch Donna Summer perform. The video is high definition and the audio is sharp and clear. Let me be clear. I appreciate the HD video so I can see just how beautiful she is. And the crystal clear audio to hear that unmistakable and gifted voice.
She opens her mouth and out comes perfection! Truly that crowd was in the presence of greatness. To handle that Jimmy Webb song so flawlessly is GOD LIKE!
All these people saying “she’s so underrated” clearly never knew how popular and mainstream she was and is. She was the queen of disco and is etched in music history as one of the greats. If you think she was unnoticed then you just weren’t paying attention or too young to realize.
On the lighted Disco Floor, I danced to her beautiful voice! It was the best of times!

What a magnificent singer she was! She moved so many with her fabulous songs & touched so many hearts!😍
Im in tears watching this. I love her so much n her songs are timeless like her. So broken that I'll get to see her live. What an eternal gift she has left for humanity.
The Queen of Disco 🙌🙌
the queen of pop alongside with Cher =D
Indudablemente
Yes , she IS the Real Queen of Disco 💃🏼
I can't express my gratitude for being able to watch Donna Summer perform. The video is high definition and the audio is sharp and clear. Let me be clear. I appreciate the HD video so I can see just how beautiful she is. And the crystal clear audio to hear that unmistakable and gifted voice.
What a voice!! One of the greatest in the history of music! I love Donna Summer. Really miss her. RIP BEAUTIFUL LADY!!
Amen
She sings so easily, I do think she's underrated even though she's recognized by many.....still, she's one of the best. RIP Miss Summer.
😅😢 R.I.P LEGEND
Ok, Another day listening to MacArtur Park.
Impossible to detach myself from this work of art.
Donna we miss you so much.
Indeed! she is missed💛
Remember that double album of Donna Summer’s Greatest Hits featuring On The Radio? That was my most favourite album of hers! ❤️❤️🌹🌹
Oui je me souviens de cet album tous nos amis et moi l' écoutions sans cesse !
all the great artists of my youth are dying....
Never replaced now
She opens her mouth and out comes perfection!
I think many consider her underrated by how she is viewed by rock history.
Her voice is liquid gold. The memories are long and deep dancing the night away to her sound. She left the world way too early. RIP
I agree she's a great singer. What's so wonderful about this is that it's so different from the original. Fabulous to hear it live
Because it's a live recording!
It’s a true masterpiece in any form
What a spectacular voice…Donna surely was the queen of disco!! So many nights in my youth dancing in clubs to her music!! Great times!
