Donna Summer saved my youth. I still remember saving my babysitting money to buy her 12" inch record of Macarthur Park. As soon as I got home from my purchase at Tower Records, Rick Dees on KISS FM 102.7 played Macarthur Park by Donna Summer over and over again. One of my greatest memories of Donna Summer. Thank you for the music. It really made a difference in my life. You are missed but never forgotten.
I turned 18 the year Donna Summer our Queen of Disco came out with one of the best songs ever. Celebrating you n the angels in heaven n our almighty God!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉😢😢😢
Donna Summer's roots are in Dorchester, MA USA, a section of Boston, MA USA. She was autographing one of her albums in a famous record store in downtown Boston and I was unable to have the privilege of having her sign her album for me because I had to work. However, the man I was dating at the time, lovingly spent hours in line to obtain a signed album for me. I still have this priceless gift. I wish he and I remained in contact as he was truly a generous young man who I have fond memories of and wish I could share these with him now. I will never forget him and Donna Summer's positive impact on me.
Met her at The Concord in 1993.... Had to pick up her and her bands food from their soundcheck.... I got a hug and a kiss on my cheek ill never forget...lol She was so sweet.... And the both years she performed were incredible and the best shows done at the time.... Love you Donna!!! YOURE STILL THE QUEEN OF DISCO!!! (I screamed it to her as the band stopped...She asked who said that and i replied, me! And she told me to come over where they were....my coworkers were warning me i might get in trouble....didnt care.... Donna Summer asked me to come to her! And she said, Hi....smiled, i said Hi very nervous and she thanked me and hugged me and kissed me in me cheek.... I was stunned....and the bsnd members chuckled and i don't even remember walking off the stage....)

back in the late 70's I was working for first national supermarkets and I was in Dorchester, Massachusettts when I saw Donna in the store. she was about 19-20 and with her white boy friend . she was the most beautiful black girl I had ever seen and out of the store they went. only for a minute and I will never forget it.
I have this album and sometimes I bring it out and flash back to the best years of my life in my mind. A time of youth, fun, great cars, freedom, dancing and love. Seventies forever.
I have to admit that I do exact the same thing, because those crazy, but beautiful memories are something that automatically stick to this music 🎵🎶 Never forget them , they are all we have left 💕
Mac Arthur Park is the best of Donna's songs. And boy does she have a great collection of incredible songs. She was the absolute best! It brings a smile to my face every time a hear them. Today's youth don't know how great was growing up in the 80's. I'm and most of you are lucky to have lived that...
I graduated Uni and Father introduced me as our Disco Queen, Donna, this album I choreograph to perform for our University event to pass my PE grades because I can't play sports. Amazing singer sings with her soul. I'm 66 now still love ❤️ this
The extended legacy of Donna is that her talents earned her a diamond in heaven and the soul star lady of greatness ., She was a beloved and brilliant beauty, loved .
Agreed, but let's not forget this was originally a Jimmy Webb song recorded by actor Richard Harris in 1968, 10 years before Donna Summer's disco remake.
At 12, this was one of my mother's songs by some guy re-imagined by one of our singers, and what a singer. The vocal she laid down on this track are incredible. I turn 60 this October and I'm stunned by this song. Breathtaking, soulful, singing. Pitch perfect. Thanks for posting. An old guy felt 12 again. Much love to you, and Donna. RIP, lovely one, we had to dance, you simply left us no choice my dear.
This is absolutely one of the best mixes of Donna Summer that I ever heard. I play it almost everyday. It captures the excitement of growing up in the 1970's. I went to a Donna Summer concert in Dallas. She sounded EXACTLY like her songs. She was really a gifted singer.
