What a voice! I will never forget the day she died. Of course, she didn't parade around with her illness looking for sympathy while she was alive. She is singing in front of the beautiful throne of God for eternity. Rest in Peace, Donna...
I was shocked at how little acknowledgement she received from the industry after she passed away. That made me sad. She was legendary in multiple ways...a trailblazer who's music rocked the nightclubs, radio stations, and music charts during much of the 1970s and early 80s in a very big way. When Disco ruled there was no one who was consistently better or bigger than she was. Of all the big voiced divas there are three of them that stand out above the rest: Dame Shirley Bassey, Whitney Houston, and Donna Summer. All three are blessed and gifted beyond words, but Donna stood out as a person who never let money, fame, or the industry rob her of her faith. If you've never seen her, watch any of the concerts she did towards the latter years before she got sick. She was so mellow, and she was always talking about how The Lord enriched her life. Yes, she will rest in peace until The Lord brings her back to life again. And he will. The Resurrection was the whole point of Jesus' ministry.

I met my (now late) husband in the 1980s. He was a teen in the disco era and loved his Donna Summer records, always playing it on a Friday evening in his tiny apartment. I would go to his apartment and we'd go to the movies or just go walk the streets at night in our city. Walking towards his apartment coming out the escalator, I'd hear Donna Summer coming from his apartment. O what I'd do to relive those times. We were together 18years when he passed away in 2005. I hope he is able to tell her in heaven what joy she brought to earth. RIP both angels.
This lady nailed this song completely. I miss her, even now. And what an incredible ensemble to back Donna! Every one of them deserves credit for the fantastic sound. Collective genius.
Her voice is 100% unique with resonance of a brass horn. Unlike other vocalists whose voices deteriorate with age, Donna's voice actually got better. There will never be another Donna Summer.
I live in Atlanta, Georgia and recently got a chance to see Summer.... The Donna Summer Musical!!!! I laughed and cried. This is such a wonderful Play honoring the great Diva's life. I hope someone will produce this show in VEGAS!!! It would be a SMASH Hit!! The Ladies that played Ms. Summer were AMAZING!!! I believe Ms. Summer would really be pleased.🌹🌺💐🌷🎵🎼 Her Music is the sound track of my Middle School and High School years. 1977 through 1983. I will always be a Donna Summer Fan. We miss you so much Ms. Summer. RIP.❤️ Gone to soon.💔
Definitely so very beautiful. Watching this video I cried knowing she fought her illness to the end. The one and only Donna meant so much to millions who also cried when hearing of her passing. In the 70's I was much younger and now I am 72, but her music made many of my sad times seem so much brighter because of Donna Summer. This was my favorite of all. Sing to the Heavens Donna ! We all Loved You. Always in my heart - Butch.
How does anyone not love her! I can't believe there are thumbs down! WTH! She's a legend! One of my absolute favorites! Even my momma, a die-hard country music fan, had her albums! She was hands down, undoubtedly The Queen!♥️
Definitely one of the most Underrated Singers ever! She had a powerful voice, range, presence, and beauty. Rest in Power Donna Summer❤❤ Bobby Brown from New Editions Cousin.
I don't recall her being "underrated." To me, she was the undisputed "Queen of Disco.' But....I know what you mean. There is no way she could have been *over*rated. Likewise, she was so far above "par"...that "par" would have been in *insult*! So, I guess, this leaves me but with one option. I agree.
Her voice didn't get the recognition because most of her songs were disco/dance. Her Christmas album...woooooooow! Didn't know her and BB were connected. ty
Donna ...ci hai lasciato un repertorio immenso....hai cantato tutti generi musicali....sei stata fantastica......ce'ancora tanta vita per stare insieme a te e alla tua musica...grazie.
Ok did anyone else notice the date this was done, and when she hit that first note, get chills on chills? Geez ! RIP Ms. Summer, we won't EVER let you die ! Thank you for everything !!!!!!
My daughter met her on an internship at MTV for Save The Music-Divas Live during her college education in music. She was so gracious and lovely. I rec'd an autographed CD which I cherish.
She was a big enough presence not to get lost in that monstrous stage show.

Her 56yr old voice is better here than when she sang the original studio version as a twenty-something. Phenomenal octave range never faltered. One of the most spine-tingling performances I've ever seen/heard.
THANK YOU Donna Summer for the music, the memories. Thank's to McArthur Park I danced my teen years to many competitions for which I got 1st place with my dancing partner. You are truly the QUEEN of DISCO; your voice, your music will live forever.
One of the most complex songs to sing - over 6 minutes long , layers, orchestrure, backup singers, live - and Miss Summer pulls it off like it is fun, no problem. BTW, watch her sing 'Last Dance' on Johnny Carson in 1978.
I'm certain there's no other singer who could duplicate this beautiful live performance. I come back to this time after time, and each time it's brand new. It's pure Donna.

scheckdj ..... She was not “ Underrated”..... sadly it was pure Ignorance that made you think she was “Underrated”.... she was Phenomenal. Rest In Peace Princess.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
LOL...oh ok Niagra!
Was never underrated lol, just was back in the 1970’s .
Loved Donna
Underrated? I absolutely think not. She is the Disco QUEEN ! When did you grow up? 😅
I will never forget when my wife and I saw her in concert. What a show!!
I'm so jealous! Treasure that memory.
Wish I had
This lady nailed this song completely. I miss her, even now.
And what an incredible ensemble to back Donna! Every one of them deserves credit for the fantastic sound. Collective genius.
Yes, winged messenger she nailed this song. Amazing
She was an amazing artist, but her heart ❤️ and her beautiful music will live on forever, rest in peace " DONNA"
My namesake!❤😂❤😊❤
Her voice is 100% unique with resonance of a brass horn. Unlike other vocalists whose voices deteriorate with age, Donna's voice actually got better. There will never be another Donna Summer.
Her songs remind me of a wonderful time in my life….I am so sorry I never got to see her perform live…
How are you doing today my name is Eric Moore
BEAUTIFUL ! I CRIED WATCHING THIS PERFORMANCE , AMAZING VOCALS , BEAUTIFUL WOMAN , SIMPLY PUT , THE TOTAL PACKAGE !!!
Really Miss Donna Summer.
She was in a class of her own..

There's something about this performance. She goes to another level. RIP Donna.
It's magical!

Totally agree with you. Listening still on NOVEMBER 8th, 2018. GOD bless her beautiful soul.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It’s like. Perfect.
Thanks from Paris for everything, Donna Summer and R.I.P.
How does anyone not love her! I can't believe there are thumbs down! WTH! She's a legend! One of my absolute favorites! Even my momma, a die-hard country music fan, had her albums! She was hands down, undoubtedly The Queen!♥️
How are you doing today my name is Eric Moore
If anybody is talking her down they must be brain dead !
What a talent this lady was, a voice that very few artists could dream to match. A beautiful woman also. Rip.
Had a big crush on Donna when i was 14 in 1978. Watching this now at 58 with tears in my eyes, love you Donna, 🤩🤩
I miss you! Donna Summer. The Queen of Disco!
Her legend will live on FOREVER!!! RIP
Donna was one of my most favorite singers, singing one of my favorites. The kids today don't know what they're missing.
Except for the kids that like this
How are you doing today my name is Eric Moore
No one could touch her range or soul...she put all she had into her magic...this world was a better place❤ because of your gift...
This is a good example, why music never will die. Thank you, Donna!
She was THE VOICE...and no one could (or can) compare!!!
Chills is right.
Amazing performance.

ALL MUSCIANS, PERFORMERS, ALL VOCALS AS PERFECT AS THE MUSICAL ARRANGEMENT!!!! VERY, VERY TALENTED AND GIFTED DONNA SUMMER!!!💯💚
She was truly amazing. From my home state of Massachusetts. Her voice was flawless ❤️❤️❤️
The queen outdid herself on this one. Fantastic!!!
THANK YOU Donna Summer for the music, the memories. Thank's to McArthur Park I danced my teen years to many competitions for which I got 1st place with my dancing partner. You are truly the QUEEN of DISCO; your voice, your music will live forever.
Rosario Cardona any vids of this award winning dance we can see? 😊
Wow, just wow! She is so wonderful and missed. Thankfully we have her music. Listening to a Donna Summer tune can turn a grey day blue!
She was the Real QUEEN of DISCO !!! WE MISS YOU,Donna !!!!!! 😔🙏
what a great singer her vocals knew no limits.
Wow, the power in her voice and.. ehm.. no autotune in sight. These are the real artists 😘
