Thank you Donna Summer for the voice, the songs, the music and giving sound to our unforgettable and pristine youth. The most beautiful, talented queen.
She was 50. What an incredible and amazing live performance of "Last Dance"! 1978 was the year this song was released. Donna Summer also released "Heaven Knows" and "MacArthur Park" in that same year. The first #1 song of 1978 was the Bee Gees' "How Deep Is Your Love?" (Also the last #1 song of 1977, first hitting #1 on December 24). 1978 was the year of the albums "Saturday Night Fever" and "Grease". Olivia Newton-John had a hit with "A Little More Love", and Andy Gibb scored with his mega-hit "Shadow Dancing". Is it possible to have had a better year in music than 1978?
Donna and the back up singer singing together gave me goosebumps ❤ then they showed that couple dancing together like it was their last dance to this song live. Great song.
Donna's music is timeless, her wonderful music and voice has made the current time pass better. Greatly missed. Thank you Donna for the great melodies and songs. Your legacy lives with all your fans forever. Long live Donna.
Forty-four years ago, this beautiful anthem was born, and forty-four years from now, it will still be as fresh and lovely as it did on that fateful day back in 1978. RIP, Donna Summer, forever. Thank you for the amazing music and for that gorgeous face and smile of yours!
Her career in college, drama, gave her a sense of direction with music, feeling message she wanted the world to hear. She will always be in my heart, with songs she gave, made that changed the whole world...

51 is still young for voice
Someone is missing the point. 🙄
I'm fascinated by the powerful energy that she has on the stage 👍
The power in her voice, she could destroy buildings with it if she wanted to do so. I love you, Donna Summer. This Live and more Encore DVD brings back so many memories of my childhood... I used to play it all day long.
What an incredible voice and an incredible and amazing performance! So many of the pop stars today are so bad, no one today even comes close to Donna Summer. Celine Dion is an exception, but you have to go back to the last century to hear women who can sing well. We all love you and miss you so much.
@@Kurt77777 Mariah has an amazing voice as well :)

@J Crash thank you so much for replying! And yes, there are always new details that we all learn all through the years. Even when being in her 50's, miss Summer delivered perfection all through the show. She was just magnificent!
Donna Summer had so much God given talent. Incredible vocal range.
Those famous coos are legendary. No one has ever duplicated. I get chills every time.

What an Icon. I miss this era of music so much.
Donna, Dionne, Aretha, Barbra, Whitney, Natalie -- so much wonderful music these one-of-a-kind legends have given us. So grateful.
Don't Forget Marilyn McCoo
@@netsil01 Thanks for mentioning her. Marilyn McCoo always gets overlooked
She took good care of her voice until the end
She studied classical singing: that certainly helps!
She took care of her voice and even her body
She's gorgeous
Yeah. She doesn't sound raspy in the least. Really cool!
Here January 2021! I just can't get over how effortlessly she sings those high notes!! Truly amazing! A true talent!
She not only still has her voice ❤
Thank God....
But, man she's so
Incredibly Beautiful !❤
Walks out on stage and delivers the goods. A consummate professional, and remarkable talent.
I loved Donna Summer!! She was the Queen of Disco in the 70's!! I loved her voice!! Absolutely beautiful!! She was a beautiful woman! I miss her so much!! RIP Donna Summer 😥💖
A great inspiration
@@kimdonnelly7633 She sure was. 😥
The DISCO YEARS!
@@glenndrexler1677 It sure was, Glenn. I loved disco music! I danced to all of the songs back then. I was a pretty good dancer, too!! Lol

Every time donna sings. I'm in tears. She was incredible. Beutifal. I miss her.
Donna had the best voice in history! Hands down...❤❤❤❤
Donna is a Diva in her own right she needed a solo VH1 concert.
Donna Summer was a big part of my high school years and my early adulthood when I was in the military. She and her music will stay in my heart and memory forever.
When I heard that Donna passed away, I was crushed. I had all her albums as a kid. My dad and I would listen to her albums all the time. She was great!!! May she rest in peace.
same here.
I still have all her Albums
It’s 8 o’clock in the morning and it was in my head so I listened to it and now I want to go out dancing so addictive stay safe have a great Christmas ☃️🎄xxx
Not ashamed to say that Last Dance, along with all her others, but especially Last Dance, brings a tear to my eye because Donna's not here anymore...what a beautiful voice and talent. Will always miss her.
John, i feel the same...don't feel ashamed...i miss her too...embraces to all who miss her..what a voice, digging deep into our hearts.
With out a doubt Ms Is of all time the "Top Diva" of all time!!!!!!! .WOW I STILL PLAY ALL HER ALBUMS. HER VOICE GETS ME IN THAT DISCO MOOD BIG TIME!!!!!!!.
00:37 The penultimately gracious and humble Queen thanks her audience for their non stop adoration.OMG literally brought me to tears. Who was this Angel who shared her talents with us....Seriously?
Unbelievable…. And how you close a performance… just stunning

Wow! She slayed it even though she was 51!!
And she still had it going on!
Exactly! Her voice was in phenomenal shape until she died at 63.
life starts again at 40 ;)
she wasn't that old!!
Of course, she was a professional singer, an artist an entertainer.
Great song.
How she controls her voice is so exceptional 💜❤
her placement, her tone, runs precision. I die she’s so wonderful
I am proud to say that I have a teenager who loves my taste of music and this is it. We both listen and sing along❤❤ from the 50's to the 80"s ❤❤
We had the best music ever 70's + 80's + 90's all day long🥰🥰🥰
Donna's music is timeless, her wonderful music and voice has made the current time pass better. Greatly missed. Thank you Donna for the great melodies and songs. Your legacy lives with all your fans forever. Long live Donna.
I'm a metal head through and through but this woman could make me cry
KOOL
SHE HAS A VOICE THAT IS PIERCINGLY BEAUTIFUL AND ELECTRO MAGNA CARTA ❤❤❤❤❤❤
So Awesome!!!
Love the love they showed her! She's making me cry. I miss these days. Hold onto our music generation x. We love each other through it all, no matter the genre.
So true Jacqueline!!! Beautiful woman with a beautiful voice!!! I hope the younger generations can appreciate her talent.
