For the Master of the Ancestral Forge achievement:
You mention briefly we can buy the weapons. Yeah, I saw that they costs 2g for a skin required to unlock recipe, then 2g for the recipe itself, plus ice shards. Then there are costs for actually making them. Found out the weapons costs 5-6g each at the trading post, so I simply bought them, which both unlocks this achievement, and also the one for the skins.
Also worth mentioning that you cannot open those chests without the proper masteries.
This game is so complicated; every time I think I learn something about how to play casually, I find out about stuff like this with about a jillion steps that I can never hope to have the willpower to accomplish.

It's not like you need to. 4x18 slot bags is perfectly fine imo and 20 slot bags are a luxury.

I've had a massive case of the "I DUN WANNA"s with the long crafting chain for bags, but no more! Thanks to you I now have 3 already neglected characters camping chests so that I may slowly chip away at giving EVERYONE 32 slot bags and so there's not only 1-2 characters who can participate in things like RIBA. I've been watching a few of your videos now as I just downloaded the game again earlier this week. It's been 8 years since I last played as I was only active the first year after the release and there's now a million things I'm just trying to wrap my head around trying to get back into the game lol. I have around 20 tabs open in chrome trying to figure things out and sinking back into it very slowly.
I logged back into 8 years worth of birthday gifts on 4 characters (9y on my main) and I barely have enough inventory space to open them.

I played this game when it first came out, then life got in the way and I haven't touched it in 12 years I think. In the mean time, lost access to the email used for the account, forgot the name of my account and therefore lost everything and have to start again. I used to have sooo much storage.

Crafting ascended Olmakhan bag is a great thing by the way because it counts in one of the achievements needed for the legendary trinket "Vision". (Not one of the main "Vision's achievements" but one of the secondary achievements.)

This is one of your best guides Muk! I’m sure the price of components for crafting 32 slot bags just went through the roof after thousands of players just watched this video, so I might have to wait a while before I can craft enough of them for my two main characters, but thanks for the info anyway. Your guides are the best, but I have to replay them a few times because you fly through the info so fast, but I’m old so I’m sure they are okay for most players.

Well now that I have actually gotten around to taking a couple of my Alt characters up to Bjora Marches to farm these chests, I have to partially retract my praise for this video. The character Muk used to show where the chests are located does NOT have all of the map unlocked, so the parts of the video where he shows the location of the chests is mostly blurred out. This makes it a lot more difficult to figure out where Muk's character is at on the map. That plus he does not show you how to get from the waypoint to the area where the chests are located could have been done better. Still a good video, but not as great as I had once thought it was. For future videos I hope you will keep this comment in mind, and spend just a few seconds more in showing how you get to the locations you are trying to guide us to, instead of assuming that we can figure out your blurred out map from the tiny area that is unblurred. It would be best if you showed us on a character who has unlocked all of the map. Just my 2 cents.

Mukluk, you can also mention to continue and try crafting the Illuminated version of the restored boreal weapons--the 11th illuminated weapon grants you a 32 slot bag! I only found out when I salvaged 6 restored and tried to craft another until it showed me I had an Illuminated Boreal recipe, then researched it thoroughly. _: I'm still sadge

keep in mind that with 120g you can buy an extra bag slot for a 20 slot bag, so people should prioritize this before going for 32 slots
bag slots are char bound ascended bags are account wide.
Plus if you do daily fractals and have a decent fractal level, you can spend 150 fractal relics to buy a 20 slot bag easily, which doesnt take long to accumulate.

@MuklukUA-cam I went to GW2 Efficiency to compare the cost of the 32-slot bags. The Reinforced Boreal Trunk costs 218.4 gold and the 32-slot Hardened Leather Pannier costs 209.3 gold. As Mukluk mentioned in the video, you need to create 7 Restored Boreal weapons at a cost of 64-65 gold each (an additional cost of 455 gold). Am I seeing a huge increase in the cost of these items on the TP because Mukluk posted this video? What am I missing?
Gw2Efficiency also takes account of the Eitrite ingots crafting cost including the 20 24 and 28 bags. Once you remove the eitrite ingot costs it actually cost around 170 gold to craft one 32 slot Boreal bag, as of today.
You should not craft Eitrite ingots since they can easily be collected from large essence chests and since you need eternal ice shards anyway you will collect ingots while you collect ice shards.
Also about the Restored weapons the tp price as of now is around 5-6 gold each so that costs around 40 gold too.

Really hoping they add a method of getting the Supreme Runes of Holding into the game that's not ecto gambling. Get those prices to come down a bit.
They don't really want prices to come down though.
They want you to spend all your gold, so after that you will spend real money to get gems.
(And this is totally legit as they need to keep the servers running and the crew employed.)

I've seen the Pomf pomf kimochi video enough times to not be fazed by Muk's opening.
Just wanted to give an update on the reinforced boreal trunk from that collection. It only gets the 24 slot boreal bag now. You still need the restored boreal weapons because you need to get 11 illuminated boreal weapons now to get the 32 slot bag. Or you can just craft it but that's still 225 gold each bag at the current moment.
Sorry i dont understand where is the best option to park my character, chest 1, chest 2, or chest 3?
Just doing a daily run with taco (with not even max masteries for chests) also results in easy 500 ice shards, and only is around 20-30 minutes total.
How do you get ice shards to show up in the menu? Under icebrood saga I have no option for eternal ice shards, just normal ores etc :(
Can anyone please help me with those questions:
1. What if I am willing only to play for the expansions like (EoD or HoT etc.), is it still viable for me to return to the game without paying for the Living World seasons?
2. There is simply too much to do and I am lost now, the only thing I remember from this game when I just started the game at the launch was the infinite grind for the limited number of legendary weapons, so I am lost, is there any suggestion on where and how to start?

Absolutely! I don't believe that existed when we made this video, but that is currently a great way to get one 32 slot for free (in terms of currency, you spend time on the achievements to receive it).

I love your guides! A question though, I am unclear on how the people that put the supreme rune of holding on TP get it? is it a black lion item, a drop? where does it come from?
Basically comes from a gambling game with ecto's. If you are trying to get it specifically its far cheaper to get it from the trading post than to gamble for it.

EDIT: Boreals do only require 12 Supreme runes, though still do require two Superiors, which is a guaranteed 20g extra cost, making the cost at the time of this writing 145-175g for just the runes, depending on current buy/sell price range for Supremes (10g50s buy / 12g80s sell). Either way, apologies for the confusion on my part; I didn't think Anet would have put in a cheaper 32-slot recipe, since the ones that have come out prior still require 18.

Technically, 32 slot bags take 18 Supreme Runes of Holding, because they require the 28-slot and the 24-slot also to be made, which require 5 and 1 Supreme Runes respectively. The 24-slot bag also requires 2 20-slot bags that require Superior Runes of Holding which are always 10g each, so effectively you need 20 runes at around 10-12g each for every 32-slot bag.
So, just for Runes, the price is guaranteed to be a minimum of 200-240g per 32-slot bag.
32 slot reinforced boreal trunk takes 8 runes and 1 hardened boreal barrel
28 slot hardened boreal barrel takes 3 runes and 1 sturdy boreal duffel
24 slot sturdy boreal duffel takes 1 rune and 2 canteens
Each canteen takes 1 superior rune of holding (NOT supreme rune)
Total:
8+3+1 = 12 supreme runes
2 superior runes
You are possibly thinking of another bag in game but those rune counts you listed are not accurate.

Think you need a total 18 supreme runes of holding per 32 slot bag as you need to make a 24 slot which uses 1, to make a 28 slot which needs a further 5, which is used to make the 32 slot which requires a further 12 making a total of 18 per 32 slot bag. Currently (26/12/2021) 18x supreme rune holding 10g-12g each = 180-216g (+other materials).
Reinforced boreal trunk takes 12 supreme runes of holding (but most bags take 18 as you said)

Just remember that buying bag slot expansions (if you haven't unlocked them all) is still cheaper than crafting even the boreal trunk bags.
A single 32 slot boreal trunk bag costs 244~ gold in materials which equates to 700+ gems in current conversion rates and gives you +12 inventory slots.
Bag slot expansion costs 400 gems which is about 131 gold as of now, with an additional 10-15 gold for a 20 slot off the TP and gives you +20 inventory slots.
The drawback is that the bag slot expansion is per character, and the 32 slot is account bound.
Nevertheless, bag slots go on sale now and then for 200 gems, which at current exchange rates is 66~ gold, which means you can get 3 chars +20 slots each, or 60 in total, rather than fit one character with a 32 slot, giving you +12 inventory slots total for the same gold.
