The biggest thing left out of this is how doing the Eternal Ice part requires a LOT of Karma farming...its sooo easy to burn through 100,000 karma via this method and that takes a shit ton of events to get. That makes this "12 minutes a day" very, very wrong as it requires many hours of play to be able to even do a part of it. A slight correction of "12 minutes a day spending what you may already have gets you rich".
It should be noted: There is one other thing Muk does to ensure he has lots of gold that isn't mentioned in this video. He doesn't spend his gold on anything. He already has all the Legendaries he needs and Muk won't ever buy cosmetic items, so his gold just piles up.
I do this plus turning in the statuettes to the lady in Shing Jea Monestary to get the meta chest for each of the EoD meta. It's not the choice chest but it still has a chance of giving you really good loot like the infusion from the Dragon's End meta.
Following the advice from this video does take some time away from actually playing the game, when your playing time is limited. Edit: You are NOT lazy Lara!
I can confirm that following the advice from this video works. I haven’t been playing GW2 much for the past few years, but doing what Muk describes in this video has allowed me to get enough materials and gold to craft 21 Legendary weapons over the last six years. I login almost daily for 20 to 30 minutes.
Appreciate the remaster of such a good guide. I love helping new players out. Always point them to your guides and community. The hardest part for players is understanding were gold comes from in GW2. In WoW you'll have thousands of gold from just questing (at least last time i played i had such). Once you learn to love the TP you can get gold easy. Went from nothing to 4 legendaries in about a year. Been so fun crafting them. Number 5 by the end of year for sure.
Totally agree. Once I learned how the game works I was able to get the materials and gold to craft 22 Legendary weapons in just a few years. I only need a couple more of those that can be dual wielded, and I’ll never have to worry about weapons again. I have dual daggers and pistols now, but need a second sword & mace.
Also unlike in WoW - playing TP is easy because there's no inflation. The prices I keep saying now have been the same for ~4 years. So you have easier understanding of how much the gold is worth and items don't become more expensive each expansion.
I agree,once you figured out what things you dont need and sell them to tp,gold is not really an issue,play since end of march 23,already have 8 legendaries,should be 10 by now ( already have half the mats needed for staff and scepter )if im not switch focus preaparing on next legendary armor
4 legendaries in a year isn´t even that much - although you have to put it in perspective to playtime. I restartet in october 2022 after a long brake. With altparking, making money crafting and selling some drops (not even my best, the chak egg sac, because thats just rng) i went from 0 legendaries, to all legendary trinkets and one set of legendary armor (raid), in the course of 8 months I did not start from scratch of course, i had 8 alts to park, 6 gifts of exploration (3 of which i monetized), but most stuff i got after restart. My accountvalue got from ~10.000g ~50.000g in about 1000h of playtime, which is a good g/hour value. I did not include the chak egg sac in that.
The difference is crafting is a huge aspect to GW2. Thousands apon thousands of materials all of which have different values. All the endgame legendary stuff is made through crafting. Crafting in WoW is just a side gimmick which you can spent a little gold on auction house to get raid ready anywhere, where raiding is where the real gear lies.
In regards to the Bjora Marches alt parking you can do all 3 locations with a single character abusing the prototype position rewinder, yes it takes a little longer than using 3 separate characters logging in and out, but not that much longer, and in the process you get another 2 character slots to park somewhere else. /watch?v=Xv23-gjUk18 for an example. Note: After making that video I have learned that you can use the prototype position rewinder, with no cooldown by just changing your Build Template with another one. Use the skill 1 to set your position, and when you are done change your build template and it will teleport you back to your anchor point.
@@SciFiMangaGamesAnime Attacking them would the glider special action would put you in combat wouldn't it? Can't change template while in combat. Or does being in combat wear off quickly there? Been awhile since I have done a dragonstorm.
Additional tip for quickly logging through alt characters: Set graphics settings to lowest significantly speeds up the loading screens. I usually do that before going through them and set it back to max after I'm done.
I love how you have your low intensity elementalist build parket at the chest. I know it's that one because I use the exact same build at the Draconis Mons flax farm
6:55 The biggest issue with ice shards is that you need karma in order to convert them. In the long run, you will eventually ran out of karma if you're not consistently playing or farm karma as well. An old account can do this for an extended period of time, but new/alt accounts will absolutely struggle to keep it up.
I tend to go for the Jade Gate chest ([&BPkMAAA=] waypoint code) wayyy up high, use a rewinder, and dive down to get a second chest - rather than the kaineng JP chest. Not sure what the loot difference is, really. 2 guaranteed (and random chance for extra!) Jade runestones a day adds up if you're even *considering* a Gen3 leggy weapon (or a variant) - and it's worth (at the time of this comment) about 1.5g a day in less than 30 seconds if you just sell them outright.
There's also a fox puzzle on a ledge just to the north of the gate, often a jade chest in the fox puzzle as well, and a tree branch just south of the bridge (the one with two of the jade zipline terminals on it) also often has a jade chest. One of those terminals takes you down to the bottom and back up, too, so if you're collecting the chest in the cave at the bottom, you can use the jade zipline to get back up. From that branch, it's pretty easy with a skyscale to fly up onto a higher branch just a little to the east, reset your skyscale height bar, and then fly over to where the high chest is.
Pulled my finger out and picked up the Greater Arcane Treasures mastery so I could park alts for SotO chests, completing my parked alts. Thanks so much for making this, Muk!
Leyline anomaly. I believe it's still the only event which guarantees a mystic coin, albeit once per day. All other mystic coins are random drops or the wizard's vault. You also get a 50 silver junk item. Depending on what I need and what the market's like, I'll do the 6 PSNA locations too, along with ornate rusted keys once every 10 days at most. Items like the captain's airship pass, the world boss teleporter, and the heart of maguuma meta event teleporter are a good way to reach these places, as well as pact provisioners.
I'm taking a break from doing map comp. That's given me more time to do other things. As a result, I've incorporated the Crystal Desert, Bjora Marches, Amnytas, and Inner Nayos chest farms into my daily routine. Thanks for this.
Another thing that can be added for people looking to craft the legendary runes and sigils - visiting the provisioner vendors in Lion's Arch and Black Citadel for the easy provisioner tokens. Getting 2 a day takes a while to get all the ones you'll need, but it'll take a while to get the rest of the materials for them anyway. I've also been using the new daily system as a good excuse to regularly go into WvW for the Gift of Battle reward track (instead of sporadically remembering I should go participate there), which also helps.
Why those ones, specifically? They cost literally an order of magnitude more per token than the HoT ones. I personally have three characters parked at the three HoT provisioners, each with an inventory stocked with whatever they take that was under 50s, I get 7 a day.

It is important to note, that best locations for parking in terms of total gold per "run" is not always the same as best *gold per second*. If a chest gives you, say 40 silver per few seconds, its better than other activity that gives 2 gold, but requires 80 seconds. The better SSD you have (= quick loading time), the higher your profit is. 2) Home instance - do keep in mind, that fast.farming assumes that you will use your charged quartz and craft quite expensives things, that might not sold as fast you imagine and if you sell item on the TP instantly, your profit will be slashed by a decent margin. PS: Some nodes in home instance produce near worthless materials or placed awkwardly. It might be a good idea to skip a thing or two (especially if you do not have a volatile glyph to at least get some volatile magic).
Yep. Theres also been a few insane occasions (I didn't put these in the video cause they are super rare) where I've gotten 20gold items from the chests for 5 seconds of work.
One great alt parking spot that is better than the kaineng jp imo is just next to the gate that enters into dragons end. High up in the tree there is a chest that gives a runestone, but that isnt all. If you have some form of rewind, use it, then jump down to the bottom, preferably with a flying mount just for speed but it isnt necessary. Go into the cave at the bottom, past a couple enemies and grab the chest at the end, it autoloots without an animation so you dont need to wait. Use your rewind back up to the chest in the tree. Takes maybe twice as long as the one in kaineng, but gives 2-3 runestones per go. Super useful for farming the runestones if you need them
Also use a Herald to do your full home farming not only will you give yourself swiftness to run it faster, you give yourself quickness which makes doing the nodes faster as well.
You get the effect of Leader of The Pact inside of home instances if you have the mastery, which already provides 33% movement speed. Which doesn't stack with swiftness.
@@Piratederp Maybe just placebo but I think Swiftness and Rising Momentum are above the LotP speed buff. Maybe Relic of Speed needed too idk I had all of those on for maximum ToT bag farming speed because nothing else really needed.

Be sure to check the value of t6 mats before converting because some times the value of the mats required to upgrade can be more than the t6 you get back so you actually lose money
if youre spending spirit shards its literally never worth it to convert t5-t6, you're better off just selling the t5 and using that gold to buy matts that actually make a good profit with spirit shard conversion
Ty for remaking this. I always have issues making gold as a lot of it was trading resources for resources for resources then sell. This makes it easy. I am working on legendaries so you alt park spots look good. I have a few alts aprked but over all I have....30 characters....so I can park more lol.

One thing I am missing is the return time of investment in home nodes. I play casually and haven't been playing for that long, so I am wondering weather to spend my gold on nodes or things depending on return of investment in home nodes. Legit curious but to a newbie perspective, do you start all of these by finishing all of the main story quest and all of the expansion(assuming I bought all of them.) or is there any other requirements?
Home instance and guild halls are accessible with no requirements (other than joining a full home or a guild). Nothing related to story. The alt park locations it depends on where you want to park. As long as you own the content (example: path of fire for sanctum of nabka parking spot) you can teleport an alt to a friend there even if that alt hasn't done the story.
My question is what is the most economical way to use the garden plot from the chef collection? Crafting a seed every time you harvest can be a bit of a pain.
Cultivated plants you replant every day. I don't do that. I do the most expensive plant that doesn't require planting. At the time of this comment that is Kale leaf or Carrots. You can see the best one here: fast.farming-community.eu/gathering/home-garden-nodes
@@MuklukUA-cam I learned that if you buy the Black Lion Garden plot deed the garden vendor has seeds you can " purchase" (they're free). And once these seeds are planted they will automatically be replanted. fingers crossed 🤞
As a returning player from a 7 year hiatus, this is how I see this video. (Disclaimer: mostly a joke with a pinch of self-deprecation) How to get "rich" in GW2 in 12 minutes daily. Step 1: Be already filthy rich in the first place to have bought all these Home upgrades. Alternatively, get a filthy rich friend. Step 2: Get a decked out Guild. 5 of them if you can. Step 3: While you're at it, get Gathering Glyphs, the ones you mostly only get from the Cash Shop. Step 4: Alt-parking + Position rewind, but you need flying mounts to maximize profit. Among these tips, only Alt-parking is legit for plebs like me. I already do it to some degree, but I don't know the "best" spots. I also don't have flying mounts yet, but these are more reasonable goals to achieve compared to getting Home upgrades.
Most of the time, people will offer to share their home instance, so that can be done by "plebs" easily enough. The second one he states you want to have up to 5 guilds each with a difrerent output, to get the most out of them, but you can just as easily farm whatever, it's not a huge deal, and most of the value from that is using a gathering tool with a glyph. The glyph you could get lucky from opening black lion chests with the weekly key farm, or map completion, or even the trade post, but I agree that one is one you would need to farm for. 4th is also easily done, where you could use something like blishud/TacO, and farm a path instead of just parking near a chest, or you could just hit the big chests if you don't have a postion rewind or mount. You don't need a flying mount though, as any of the basic mounts with their mastery trees completed, will be enough to get to said chests.
Also buy most/all the Expacs and Living World content 😏but fr, although it's not necessarily super new player friendly, they are v low effort and most are relatively achievable. ~ Step 1: A lot of people freely advertise to share their home nodes in the main cities/ you can ask in map chat. Step 2: You can search around and just join one fully upgraded guild for their nodes, 5 is min-maxing but not necessary. Step 3: Like Muk said, you don't need the glyphs, it's possible to buy gathering tools from NPC's that provide extra materials with in-game currencies, they are just not unlimited use. (Glyphs are also on the trading post, not just gem store.) Step 4: Rewind tool is easy to get. You can use the Springer rather than flying mounts. (Reqs PoF) Although, you would have to have multiple character slots for this one, and possibly the expacs for unlocking the most optimal areas... So I would just ignore it until you reach that point naturally. I should do all this stuff, I have the resources... I'm just so dang lazy. 🥱
I've never heard of this Kaynang, is that near Kaineng? 😅 I recommend Black Citadel, but to each their own. Out of curiosity what is your account value on GW2 efficiency, and did you notice a glitch in it this weekend? I ask because my account was at 200K, then dropped by 40K in one day, and then back again to 201K the next day. Was the only time I've ever seen a spike like this in either direction, and it has me curious.
We also forget Mukluk spent real money on items in the gem store to make his life more convenient,more convenience = more money. Want to make money? Buying a full home instance costs more in money and gold than its worth, it take forever to pay out what you spent.
Appreciate the tips been doing some of this stuff for awhile I have 3 extra accounts which I bought on sales and funnel the gold from wizards vault, alt parking, daily gathering into my main account and it's a pretty nice money maker besides the general gameplay on my main account. Will try and use your tips to make my daily routine which I have prioritised to a certain extent based on my own knowledge even more efficient and profitable.

Question: How does parking the alt at the Keineng JP get you 3 Jade Runestones - are you counting what happens if you convert the coins you get into runestones too or am I missing something?
I guess it's time to make spare alts that I will park at chests... That's what I'll waste the lvl80 booster on that has been taking up my shared slot for a couple months now. What class/build is best for this? Quick chrono for quick+portal, quick scrapper for quick+super speed+stealth?
I know this is a bit of an odd question to just slap on a random video, but do you think it's worth on my first character skipping story chapters to access certain parts of the game? For example, my main is currently floating somewhere near the end of LW3, about to head off to Orr for Balthazar; would I be better served skipping around the later parts of the game? And where would be the best places to go from there? There's so much to do, I get stuck with choice paralysis 😂
There's no right or wrong answer to that. You absolutely can just focus on finishing the story, OR you can take a break from it and go open up other stuff, then come back to the story later. There is nothing wrong with either of those options.

Your first stream of Guild Wars 2 appears to be Feb 10, 2019. At 12 gold per day, thats about 21,000 gold total since then. Given your current 8,000 cash and much higher total worth , I suspect it represents a pretty small fraction. That said most of the rest was "playing the game", which could be said to be even easier. There is a ... LOT of holes in that. 1 - I said it was 12 gold for a clear of the home instance at the time of this recording, that number fluctuates over time. For example, when the turtle came out the price of kale and strawberries skyrocketed due to being needed for the turtle mount. 2 - that number ONLY was for the home instance, not the other items in the video. 3 - I wasn't doing the routine back in 2019. 4 - do you get gold for doing other stuff? yeah, sure. I said that in the video. But I log in for 12 minutes a day most days, with the exception of tuesdays when I do community events and giveaways, so theres only once place the gold could have come from. Plus I've tested it with the farming trackers both on gw2efficiency, and on fast farming.

hey soo I tried your volatile magic , but the trophy chest from the unpronounceable guy at the eye of the north and well.....I am pretty sure Arenanet surfs the net specifically to find videos like yours and "Balance the Fun" right outta guild wars. Using your method I made 30 silver. Naturally with not only volatile magic wasted, I lost the initial gold investment as well.
Actually ... imho ... i find DR home faster then Metrica home... considering using speed boosters and the use of skills as like a mesmers porting or a Rangers jumping...
I just dont believe that a full home isntance is worth 12 gold. Maybe earlier in the game, but the ice brood saga tanked the whole economy. Not much of any resource is worth anything. If Im wrong Im glad for all of you guys raking in the money.
It's good (esp if you have a volatile glyph). It's usually worth less than the big ones listed on the alt parking website, but it's not once per account so if you have a huge amount of useless characters you can leave them there.
@@SnaccHBG Drizzlewood Coast - Leadfoot Village beats all Flax farms. And while fast farm says it's once per day per character they are wrong. It resets like every hour per character. It's 15 nodes, right ontop of the Olafson Farmstead POI west of the village.
I don't get why people are so obsessed with farming gold, if you just go for gold you are basically working for what swipers get from just swiping. Just enjoy the content you like and let gold accumulate. These dailies help a lot but add chores so I only do them when i feel like it.
Two small notes: 1) You mentioned it (in a caption) for the IBS chests but did not mention that the SoTO chests also require a completed mastery line to open. 2) Guild hall farming is worth far less gold without a Glyph of Volatility or equivalent karma tools. At the time of this comment/the video's release, the volatile magic accounts for 55--86% of a node's gold value, depending on the node (per Fast Farming's stats). Karmic volatile tools also require a level 60 character, for anyone planning to use them.
@@fahlur The volatile magic is not just "bonus stuff" though, it's the majority of the gold. A more accurate way of describing it would be that the tools make you money and that guild nodes are just a convenient place to use them. If anything, the materials you get out of it are the bonus because they're the minority of the value (under 1/7 of it, in the case of the cloth node).
Tbh it' all rng if those glyphs are good for you. For me my rng is horrible always lose money on volatile and unstable magic. I either break even or lose 10-20s. When I get a stack of the lws3 materials it's better for me to sell those and make 20s then it is to consume then buy the items just to lose. So for me i prefer watchknight glyph since it generates money in a less rng way and time friendly way too.
@@odin13th76What you call RNG becomes statistics if you do it often enough, which is the only use case worth debating in the first place. That's what all recommendations are based on. Therefore "your" RNG doesn't exist either, whatsoever. All RNGs are created equal ;)

I like doing Dragonstorm once a day if possible. It rewards 2 gold at the end guaranteed, and there's a chance for valuable weapons to sell on the TP. The defense seals can also buy discounted supply boxes with some decently valuable crafting materials.
"Passive income" or what it accutely is, A tax on people who doesn't do it. Same as money printing in the real world (aka Inflation) Same problem as afk farmers.
I also have a dedicated fisher-toon who stores all the rare-tier fish to trade with Taro Everclaw in Arborstone for one chunk of ancient ambergris per day. If I run low on certain fish I just go out for twenty or so minutes and get another small bunch to save for when they're a daily trade again. It's slow, but it adds up, and ancient ambergris sells for a *lot*, at least lately.
Eternal Ice thing, worked perfectly, apparently had over 1,000 eternal ice in my storage, bought 80 trophy boxes, cost me All of my money of 81 gold, and now i got +190 gold waiting for me in the BLT.
There are many spots in Echovald which yields guaranteed jade runestones. Most of them are listed on the fast farming website but to point out some specific spots: above the mastery point south east of karstadt village (very high up), above teleri village, at the end of the vaasburg mini dungeon in the cave of teleri village and in the small cave east of jade gate waypoint (needs an achievement, fast to do). I do a little tour through Echovald with the rollerbeetle from arbrstone each day and end up in dragons end to buy some dragons end writs from the npc near the beginning and do the Trial of the Elder on the bottom right for an extra jade runestone. All the spots + what is mentioned on fast farming gives at least 7 jade runestones a day + the chances from jade chest and shrine guardian chest along the way. I end up at around 9-10 jade runestones per day (takes about 10-15 mins with everything)
Several of these are perfect for alt parking, also. Even low level alts can log in, pop position rewinder, open the chest (some are instant - no cast time on opening), and pop rewinder again to get back, even if there is an elite mob guarding the chest.
As someone who has been doing many of the daily alt parking stuff i can confidently say that even tho they would directly correlate to a few gold per day, they are substantially more valuable at saving you time and money later on. If you think you can get 4k gold out of these daily farms any time soon you are a bit too optimistic... At most you are netting 5g for these specific alt parking, and maybe 10g if you use all the most profitable alt parking (assuming you have like 10 alts parked somewhere, have a skyscale/griffon for more chests in specific alt parking zones, etc.) to get 4000 gold it would still take you 400 days of daily parkings... considering Mukluk has 16mil karma, I can only assume he is doing a lot of meta events, and unless he is crafting legendaries and selling them, his main source of income would be selling the materials he gets from the metas. The daily parking is nice and all but unless you actually play those alts you are actually going to be at a massive gold loss for a very long time GW2 gives you 5 character slots, that's 4 alt parking and a main assuming you only play 1 character. Amount of Alt parkers you need (Kaineng JP chest, Ice Shards, Crystal Desert Jackel JP, one of the Soto chests) any alt after that you will be at a loss for about a year before that alt park can make you profit unless you are actively playing it. 1 character slot = 800 crystals (600/640 on deal/sale). 800 crystals = 330g to buy or if you exchange crystal to gold it would be aprox 220g. let me break it down: 800 crystal = character slot 800 crystal paid with money = aprox 220g 800 crystal bought with gold = aprox 330g 1 alt parked at the 5th best place is at best 1g worth (but will take a while to cash in due to it being a currency rather than a sellable item) which would take you at worst 220 days for that extra alt to make sense to get or at worst 330 days. Personally I do a lot of alt farming because I made a bunch of characters that I try out stuff with some times (1 of each character) and when I get bored of one i place it at a parking spot and use another one till im tired of it too lol But if you ask me is it worth to do alt parking while only playing 1 character or if you think alt parking will make you a lot of gold anytime soon, I just wanted to give you a small reality check. Alt parking for me is a great way to save on spending later rather than making gold, or to save myself from farming certain currencies because I can trade in for them using another one that I farm almost passively for daily. The cost of character slots in gems/gold/real money, who is now just a worthless character for sitting on a chest spot, getting them to the location without TP to friend. Still takes time to login and logout every character and open chests, something I find insanely boring since it's not gameplay just farming,
I agree that alts cost gold but I started early and have paid for everything from in game gold. I have 11 alts and 1 main. I play all professions while farming and have learned a lot about the game. Alt parking is a good way to make gold. Is it the best way maybe for some and not for others. I have 1 set of Legendary Armor, all leg runs and sigils, all leg trinkets, leg backpack and 9 weapons. I have done many different farms but playing the game is the best way to make gold. I also have been lucky with many good drops while playing. New players and longtime players make the free alts that come with the game and start making easy money because if you want stuff in GW2 you are going to need gold. I burn out then take several months off come back refreshed and ready to go again. Rinse and repeat - now I can do less farming and a lot more playing and have a goal for more legendary items. Heavy Armor is next, I am glad I like WvW.
The thing is that doing that is about 15 minutes a day, which isn't much. This adds up with time, it's at least 150g/month for doing almost nothing, then add fractals dailies + meta events + strike missions (obviously you won't be doing them every day, but at least a few times every week) and soon you will be getting nearly 500g/month or more. Which is much, much more than the average player does. Most ppl have the time to do this, they just have no idea how much these activities pile up over time.
@@waltwhite8126 the math here is really something special... top 9 alt parking spots in total yield 14g per day, any alt park after this is less than 1g per park. You can start with 5 characters, so at most you have 1 main and 4 alt parking, with the top 4 alt parks you make about ~8g per day, making 1 month ~320g That sounds good and all, but any alt after that actually isn't that great, why? Getting another alt = 800gem (~600 when its on discount), what is 800 (or 600) gems in terms of gold? well as it is right now it's about 250g-350g. After the top 4 alt parking spots, you start getting less gold per alt, meaning every alt parked after that will have to spend more days to be able to pay for itself before it turns in a profit. Starting with 5th parking spot it nets 1.6g, which would make it take about 188 days before it starts yielding a profit Any alt after that will be essentially 1gold or less per day, making it take almost a year per alt you make before it starts netting you a profit. And here is the kicker, when you have so many alts that do the alt parking, you will start resenting the game, because instead of playing it, you have a list of daily small tasks that will start taking most of your gametime and drain your soul in the process, making you not want to play the game. To summarize, I would not recommend having more than 6 alt parking, and honestly 4 is good enough if you are willing to do more than just log in click log out and are willing to fly a bit from chest to chest in a zone on 1 character, but even with my 5 alt parked characters, some days I dread the thought of doing it because I am so sick of this 10 minute ritual on every reset every single day. Yes it makes you some passive income, but that is only if you are willing to do it for months and months and months before you even see the difference in income. IT IS the best gold/hr, but not at the cost of making another alt character you paid for to do alt parking for you
and thats why i not play gw2 anymore. daily stuff that make the game like a chore. even if one thing takes only a few minutes what you show here if do all everyday its at least 40 minutes of daily repeatable stuff. and at the end you not feel like playing content and progressing the character anymore-
Why do things you consider like a chore when you can do things you enjoy ? It's your fault if you do things you don't like and then quit because of it. I never liked gathering and so I don't do gathering and instead focus on what I like. For me it's doing some raids/fractals/strikes, but then sometimes I want a bit of change and go WvW or I go and farm a map for a bit , there is no point in burning yourself out, take your time doing what you enjoy the most and don't be afraid to take a break from the game if you feel like it

There is a better spot in Skywatch Archipelago. In Jede Mech Habitation Zone 03 at Vass's Compassion is one Greater Arcane Treasure chest and one small chest masked as rock. Second Greater Arcane Treasure chest is directly below on balcony near Kestrel's Vow. With prototype position rewinder you can farm all three. As a bonus north of Vass's Compassion is Rich Orichalcum Vein.

The trick is making passive income.. You can make a ton of money if you put it as your goal, but it quickly become a chore.. And once you spend it, it doesn't come back unless you make the effort. It's what I liked about WoW's gold, you could build that shit up by just playing.. Unless you know the tricks in gw2 you stay broke or buy gold.
I like jumping into AB meta often. it's less than 10 minutes and you can get around 4-5g by selling the amalgamated gem from the chest and the unidentified gears

Of course everything in this video requires gameplay outside of just farming. Which should make you happy! Doing a meta here and there or simply completing hearts with each story step makes plenty of karma. You get to play the game, and spending just a few minutes of your day alt-farming makes the rest of your gaming experience more smooth.
I know some things have changed with log in rewards and dailies. But I was able to buy all the QoL items, 20 character slots etc. With only doing stuff like this for less then 10 mins a day, and I would argue I did even less because I'm even more lazy. The funny part is when you see people asking about making gold in game, and you give them these hints / tips. They blow it off as they don't have "time" for that. Even stranger still are the people willing to farm meta events for hours, for basically the same amount of gold
I’m guessing that those people who “don’t have time” for it actually mean they have more fun running metas and other in-game activities than logging and gathering chests/nodes. Not to mention imprisoning those poor alts :(
GW2 is unique in that most rewards are earned through consistent daily events and fast farms, not long grinds or exclusive rare items like other MMOs. It requires daily logins rather than dumping large amounts of time all in 1-2 day, not great for people who only play on weekends or few days off.
There is kind of a problem with this whole scheme. You watch this video because you have very little gold and want to make it. One of the primary ways is off home instances. BUT if you are new and haven't developed your home instance buying the nodes costs 30-50 gold+ which is kind of impossible for new players. I can see that down the track it would be very useful, but no new player is going to be making the gold you talk about from their home instance any time soon unless they buy gems and converts them to gold to be able to afford the nodes from off the TP (or makes gold some other way).
You can find people advertising their full home instances every day at reset in rata sum like he says in the video, I bring in multiple groups every day I'm online for a total of 12-15ppl and there's usually still people letting others in their home instances up to 2-3hrs after
if you have some extra alts, there are a couple of chests with 100% jade runestone drop rate [sometimes, even 2] in echovald, 2 are even pretty close so the position rewinder may come in handy i have a good amount of alts there, and 4 chest got a guaranteed drop, plus valdhertz mini dungeon and the kaineng one makes 6 jade runestones per day + extras
these videos are so much more useful than these GW2 websites. There is so much stuff on efficiency etc. which the site doesnt even remotely explain on how to do and its a godsend seeing someone tell me about the home location thing. I'm a new player, I didn't even know guild halls can have gather spots
My only real concern about the home instance nodes is that they are initially 50 gold each iirc. Do you have an estimate for roughly how long we need to farm them to become profitable after the initial 50 gold each?
After casually playing I had all the home nodes in a year and half, just because why not and nothing else to really spend gold on. But if you can log on right at the server reset, you can basically get a insta home instance run.
I'm sure this is obvious, but if you have one set of infinite gathering tools, make sure to put them into your shared inventory slots so your next character can use them.
i don't have those tools, but asaik you put normal tools on each alt and then put the infinite ones in shared inventory slot. Then you only have to double click in the inventory window for equipping (which works regardless of the normal tools), but also unequipping. Then the infinite ones are back in the shared inventory slot and free to use for your next alt. my main problem is, that using alts solidifies my habid of using only on char, because the other ones are stuck at their parking spot, if only there would be the potential TP2Alt, to easily switch the locations of alts, without the necessity of asking other players.

I do this plus turning in the statuettes to the lady in Shing Jea Monestary to get the meta chest for each of the EoD meta. It's not the choice chest but it still has a chance of giving you really good loot like the infusion from the Dragon's End meta.
You need to complete EOD expansion story and train a mastery to be able to purchase them

I haven’t been playing GW2 much for the past few years, but doing what Muk describes in this video has allowed me to get enough materials and gold to craft 21 Legendary weapons over the last six years. I login almost daily for 20 to 30 minutes.

Appreciate the remaster of such a good guide. I love helping new players out. Always point them to your guides and community. The hardest part for players is understanding were gold comes from in GW2. In WoW you'll have thousands of gold from just questing (at least last time i played i had such). Once you learn to love the TP you can get gold easy. Went from nothing to 4 legendaries in about a year. Been so fun crafting them. Number 5 by the end of year for sure.
Totally agree. Once I learned how the game works I was able to get the materials and gold to craft 22 Legendary weapons in just a few years. I only need a couple more of those that can be dual wielded, and I’ll never have to worry about weapons again. I have dual daggers and pistols now, but need a second sword & mace.
Also unlike in WoW - playing TP is easy because there's no inflation. The prices I keep saying now have been the same for ~4 years. So you have easier understanding of how much the gold is worth and items don't become more expensive each expansion.

4 legendaries in a year isn´t even that much - although you have to put it in perspective to playtime.
I restartet in october 2022 after a long brake. With altparking, making money crafting and selling some drops (not even my best, the chak egg sac, because thats just rng) i went from 0 legendaries, to all legendary trinkets and one set of legendary armor (raid), in the course of 8 months
I did not start from scratch of course, i had 8 alts to park, 6 gifts of exploration (3 of which i monetized), but most stuff i got after restart.
My accountvalue got from ~10.000g ~50.000g in about 1000h of playtime, which is a good g/hour value. I did not include the chak egg sac in that.
The difference is crafting is a huge aspect to GW2. Thousands apon thousands of materials all of which have different values. All the endgame legendary stuff is made through crafting. Crafting in WoW is just a side gimmick which you can spent a little gold on auction house to get raid ready anywhere, where raiding is where the real gear lies.
In regards to the Bjora Marches alt parking you can do all 3 locations with a single character abusing the prototype position rewinder, yes it takes a little longer than using 3 separate characters logging in and out, but not that much longer, and in the process you get another 2 character slots to park somewhere else. /watch?v=Xv23-gjUk18 for an example.
Note: After making that video I have learned that you can use the prototype position rewinder, with no cooldown by just changing your Build Template with another one. Use the skill 1 to set your position, and when you are done change your build template and it will teleport you back to your anchor point.
Okay, the template swap trick is something I did not know. That'll make things go a little bit faster.
That is mega huge. I will use it during Dragonstorm to teleport back to aurene's jump pad to zap Jormag/Primordus without traveling back and forward.

Additional tip for quickly logging through alt characters: Set graphics settings to lowest significantly speeds up the loading screens. I usually do that before going through them and set it back to max after I'm done.

6:55 The biggest issue with ice shards is that you need karma in order to convert them. In the long run, you will eventually ran out of karma if you're not consistently playing or farm karma as well.
An old account can do this for an extended period of time, but new/alt accounts will absolutely struggle to keep it up.

That's why I farm the bell choir minigame during Krimmah until my brain rots.
Karma (and gold) can also be farmed from raiding weekly, though of course this is a more challenging and time-consuming way than, say, alt-parking.
best time to get karma atm is wintersday! so thats what i been doing.
I tend to go for the Jade Gate chest ([&BPkMAAA=] waypoint code) wayyy up high, use a rewinder, and dive down to get a second chest - rather than the kaineng JP chest. Not sure what the loot difference is, really.
2 guaranteed (and random chance for extra!) Jade runestones a day adds up if you're even *considering* a Gen3 leggy weapon (or a variant) - and it's worth (at the time of this comment) about 1.5g a day in less than 30 seconds if you just sell them outright.
There's also a fox puzzle on a ledge just to the north of the gate, often a jade chest in the fox puzzle as well, and a tree branch just south of the bridge (the one with two of the jade zipline terminals on it) also often has a jade chest. One of those terminals takes you down to the bottom and back up, too, so if you're collecting the chest in the cave at the bottom, you can use the jade zipline to get back up. From that branch, it's pretty easy with a skyscale to fly up onto a higher branch just a little to the east, reset your skyscale height bar, and then fly over to where the high chest is.
Pulled my finger out and picked up the Greater Arcane Treasures mastery so I could park alts for SotO chests, completing my parked alts. Thanks so much for making this, Muk!
Leyline anomaly. I believe it's still the only event which guarantees a mystic coin, albeit once per day. All other mystic coins are random drops or the wizard's vault. You also get a 50 silver junk item. Depending on what I need and what the market's like, I'll do the 6 PSNA locations too, along with ornate rusted keys once every 10 days at most. Items like the captain's airship pass, the world boss teleporter, and the heart of maguuma meta event teleporter are a good way to reach these places, as well as pact provisioners.
I'm taking a break from doing map comp. That's given me more time to do other things. As a result, I've incorporated the Crystal Desert, Bjora Marches, Amnytas, and Inner Nayos chest farms into my daily routine. Thanks for this.
Another thing that can be added for people looking to craft the legendary runes and sigils - visiting the provisioner vendors in Lion's Arch and Black Citadel for the easy provisioner tokens. Getting 2 a day takes a while to get all the ones you'll need, but it'll take a while to get the rest of the materials for them anyway. I've also been using the new daily system as a good excuse to regularly go into WvW for the Gift of Battle reward track (instead of sporadically remembering I should go participate there), which also helps.
Why those ones, specifically? They cost literally an order of magnitude more per token than the HoT ones. I personally have three characters parked at the three HoT provisioners, each with an inventory stocked with whatever they take that was under 50s, I get 7 a day.

Awesome guide. But my favorite video so far is your Guide How to Not Finish a Legendary. That was so helpful I follow that guide every time I craft a legendary.
It is important to note, that best locations for parking in terms of total gold per "run" is not always the same as best *gold per second*.
If a chest gives you, say 40 silver per few seconds, its better than other activity that gives 2 gold, but requires 80 seconds. The better SSD you have (= quick loading time), the higher your profit is.
2) Home instance - do keep in mind, that fast.farming assumes that you will use your charged quartz and craft quite expensives things, that might not sold as fast you imagine and if you sell item on the TP instantly, your profit will be slashed by a decent margin.
PS: Some nodes in home instance produce near worthless materials or placed awkwardly. It might be a good idea to skip a thing or two (especially if you do not have a volatile glyph to at least get some volatile magic).
Yep. Theres also been a few insane occasions (I didn't put these in the video cause they are super rare) where I've gotten 20gold items from the chests for 5 seconds of work.
One great alt parking spot that is better than the kaineng jp imo is just next to the gate that enters into dragons end. High up in the tree there is a chest that gives a runestone, but that isnt all. If you have some form of rewind, use it, then jump down to the bottom, preferably with a flying mount just for speed but it isnt necessary. Go into the cave at the bottom, past a couple enemies and grab the chest at the end, it autoloots without an animation so you dont need to wait. Use your rewind back up to the chest in the tree. Takes maybe twice as long as the one in kaineng, but gives 2-3 runestones per go. Super useful for farming the runestones if you need them
I like the tip about the chest in the tree, but when I get close to the chest in the cave I am TP'd to a point south of there for some reason.

Also use a Herald to do your full home farming not only will you give yourself swiftness to run it faster, you give yourself quickness which makes doing the nodes faster as well.

You get the effect of Leader of The Pact inside of home instances if you have the mastery, which already provides 33% movement speed. Which doesn't stack with swiftness.
@@Piratederp Maybe just placebo but I think Swiftness and Rising Momentum are above the LotP speed buff. Maybe Relic of Speed needed too idk I had all of those on for maximum ToT bag farming speed because nothing else really needed.
Geared quickness chronomancer can also provide constant quickness.
Along with farming guild halls, you can join WvW if there's no queue and teleport to any owned keeps, and farm those nodes. It doesn't take long.

Be sure to check the value of t6 mats before converting because some times the value of the mats required to upgrade can be more than the t6 you get back so you actually lose money
if youre spending spirit shards its literally never worth it to convert t5-t6, you're better off just selling the t5 and using that gold to buy matts that actually make a good profit with spirit shard conversion

Home instance and guild halls are accessible with no requirements (other than joining a full home or a guild). Nothing related to story. The alt park locations it depends on where you want to park. As long as you own the content (example: path of fire for sanctum of nabka parking spot) you can teleport an alt to a friend there even if that alt hasn't done the story.
My question is what is the most economical way to use the garden plot from the chef collection? Crafting a seed every time you harvest can be a bit of a pain.

@@MuklukUA-cam I learned that if you buy the Black Lion Garden plot deed the garden vendor has seeds you can " purchase" (they're free). And once these seeds are planted they will automatically be replanted. fingers crossed 🤞
As a returning player from a 7 year hiatus, this is how I see this video. (Disclaimer: mostly a joke with a pinch of self-deprecation)
How to get "rich" in GW2 in 12 minutes daily.
Step 1: Be already filthy rich in the first place to have bought all these Home upgrades. Alternatively, get a filthy rich friend.
Step 2: Get a decked out Guild. 5 of them if you can.
Step 3: While you're at it, get Gathering Glyphs, the ones you mostly only get from the Cash Shop.
Step 4: Alt-parking + Position rewind, but you need flying mounts to maximize profit.
Among these tips, only Alt-parking is legit for plebs like me. I already do it to some degree, but I don't know the "best" spots. I also don't have flying mounts yet, but these are more reasonable goals to achieve compared to getting Home upgrades.
Most of the time, people will offer to share their home instance, so that can be done by "plebs" easily enough. The second one he states you want to have up to 5 guilds each with a difrerent output, to get the most out of them, but you can just as easily farm whatever, it's not a huge deal, and most of the value from that is using a gathering tool with a glyph. The glyph you could get lucky from opening black lion chests with the weekly key farm, or map completion, or even the trade post, but I agree that one is one you would need to farm for. 4th is also easily done, where you could use something like blishud/TacO, and farm a path instead of just parking near a chest, or you could just hit the big chests if you don't have a postion rewind or mount. You don't need a flying mount though, as any of the basic mounts with their mastery trees completed, will be enough to get to said chests.
Also buy most/all the Expacs and Living World content 😏but fr, although it's not necessarily super new player friendly, they are v low effort and most are relatively achievable. ~
Step 1: A lot of people freely advertise to share their home nodes in the main cities/ you can ask in map chat.
Step 2: You can search around and just join one fully upgraded guild for their nodes, 5 is min-maxing but not necessary.
Step 3: Like Muk said, you don't need the glyphs, it's possible to buy gathering tools from NPC's that provide extra materials with in-game currencies, they are just not unlimited use. (Glyphs are also on the trading post, not just gem store.)
Step 4: Rewind tool is easy to get. You can use the Springer rather than flying mounts. (Reqs PoF) Although, you would have to have multiple character slots for this one, and possibly the expacs for unlocking the most optimal areas... So I would just ignore it until you reach that point naturally.
I should do all this stuff, I have the resources... I'm just so dang lazy. 🥱

I ask because my account was at 200K, then dropped by 40K in one day, and then back again to 201K the next day. Was the only time I've ever seen a spike like this in either direction, and it has me curious.

Appreciate the tips been doing some of this stuff for awhile I have 3 extra accounts which I bought on sales and funnel the gold from wizards vault, alt parking, daily gathering into my main account and it's a pretty nice money maker besides the general gameplay on my main account. Will try and use your tips to make my daily routine which I have prioritised to a certain extent based on my own knowledge even more efficient and profitable.
FYI not every T5 to T6 transmute is worth it.

There's no right or wrong answer to that. You absolutely can just focus on finishing the story, OR you can take a break from it and go open up other stuff, then come back to the story later. There is nothing wrong with either of those options.

Your first stream of Guild Wars 2 appears to be Feb 10, 2019. At 12 gold per day, thats about 21,000 gold total since then. Given your current 8,000 cash and much higher total worth , I suspect it represents a pretty small fraction. That said most of the rest was "playing the game", which could be said to be even easier.

There is a ... LOT of holes in that.
1 - I said it was 12 gold for a clear of the home instance at the time of this recording, that number fluctuates over time. For example, when the turtle came out the price of kale and strawberries skyrocketed due to being needed for the turtle mount.
2 - that number ONLY was for the home instance, not the other items in the video.
3 - I wasn't doing the routine back in 2019.
4 - do you get gold for doing other stuff? yeah, sure. I said that in the video. But I log in for 12 minutes a day most days, with the exception of tuesdays when I do community events and giveaways, so theres only once place the gold could have come from. Plus I've tested it with the farming trackers both on gw2efficiency, and on fast farming.

hey soo I tried your volatile magic , but the trophy chest from the unpronounceable guy at the eye of the north and well.....I am pretty sure Arenanet surfs the net specifically to find videos like yours and "Balance the Fun" right outta guild wars. Using your method I made 30 silver. Naturally with not only volatile magic wasted, I lost the initial gold investment as well.
I like hunters hearth better for home instance. Just two floors go in a circle, and less than 5 minutes your done.
Too many NPCs and multi floor is confusing on the nodes mini map.

I just dont believe that a full home isntance is worth 12 gold. Maybe earlier in the game, but the ice brood saga tanked the whole economy. Not much of any resource is worth anything. If Im wrong Im glad for all of you guys raking in the money.
Is Flax still worth for alt parking?
It's good (esp if you have a volatile glyph). It's usually worth less than the big ones listed on the alt parking website, but it's not once per account so if you have a huge amount of useless characters you can leave them there.
@@SnaccHBG Drizzlewood Coast - Leadfoot Village beats all Flax farms. And while fast farm says it's once per day per character they are wrong. It resets like every hour per character. It's 15 nodes, right ontop of the Olafson Farmstead POI west of the village.

I don't get why people are so obsessed with farming gold, if you just go for gold you are basically working for what swipers get from just swiping. Just enjoy the content you like and let gold accumulate. These dailies help a lot but add chores so I only do them when i feel like it.
Two small notes:
1) You mentioned it (in a caption) for the IBS chests but did not mention that the SoTO chests also require a completed mastery line to open.
2) Guild hall farming is worth far less gold without a Glyph of Volatility or equivalent karma tools. At the time of this comment/the video's release, the volatile magic accounts for 55--86% of a node's gold value, depending on the node (per Fast Farming's stats). Karmic volatile tools also require a level 60 character, for anyone planning to use them.
he does mention glyphs for guild halls. @3:00. he mentions use a gathering tool that gives bonus stuff. Which is just another phrasing for use glyphs.
@@fahlur The volatile magic is not just "bonus stuff" though, it's the majority of the gold. A more accurate way of describing it would be that the tools make you money and that guild nodes are just a convenient place to use them. If anything, the materials you get out of it are the bonus because they're the minority of the value (under 1/7 of it, in the case of the cloth node).
Tbh it' all rng if those glyphs are good for you. For me my rng is horrible always lose money on volatile and unstable magic. I either break even or lose 10-20s. When I get a stack of the lws3 materials it's better for me to sell those and make 20s then it is to consume then buy the items just to lose. So for me i prefer watchknight glyph since it generates money in a less rng way and time friendly way too.

The real reason we end up with a lot of gold is that everything gives some gold in the game, and we play it... too much.

I like doing Dragonstorm once a day if possible. It rewards 2 gold at the end guaranteed, and there's a chance for valuable weapons to sell on the TP. The defense seals can also buy discounted supply boxes with some decently valuable crafting materials.
It also gives you a few gold worth of Memories of Aurene
Plus it's fun for some players to beat the tar out of Braham. 😁

"Passive income" or what it accutely is, A tax on people who doesn't do it. Same as money printing in the real world (aka Inflation) Same problem as afk farmers.
I also have a dedicated fisher-toon who stores all the rare-tier fish to trade with Taro Everclaw in Arborstone for one chunk of ancient ambergris per day. If I run low on certain fish I just go out for twenty or so minutes and get another small bunch to save for when they're a daily trade again. It's slow, but it adds up, and ancient ambergris sells for a *lot*, at least lately.

Eternal Ice thing, worked perfectly, apparently had over 1,000 eternal ice in my storage, bought 80 trophy boxes, cost me All of my money of 81 gold, and now i got +190 gold waiting for me in the BLT.
There are many spots in Echovald which yields guaranteed jade runestones. Most of them are listed on the fast farming website but to point out some specific spots: above the mastery point south east of karstadt village (very high up), above teleri village, at the end of the vaasburg mini dungeon in the cave of teleri village and in the small cave east of jade gate waypoint (needs an achievement, fast to do). I do a little tour through Echovald with the rollerbeetle from arbrstone each day and end up in dragons end to buy some dragons end writs from the npc near the beginning and do the Trial of the Elder on the bottom right for an extra jade runestone. All the spots + what is mentioned on fast farming gives at least 7 jade runestones a day + the chances from jade chest and shrine guardian chest along the way. I end up at around 9-10 jade runestones per day (takes about 10-15 mins with everything)
Several of these are perfect for alt parking, also. Even low level alts can log in, pop position rewinder, open the chest (some are instant - no cast time on opening), and pop rewinder again to get back, even if there is an elite mob guarding the chest.
i can get 15-18 jade runestones everyday
As someone who has been doing many of the daily alt parking stuff i can confidently say that even tho they would directly correlate to a few gold per day, they are substantially more valuable at saving you time and money later on.
If you think you can get 4k gold out of these daily farms any time soon you are a bit too optimistic...
At most you are netting 5g for these specific alt parking, and maybe 10g if you use all the most profitable alt parking (assuming you have like 10 alts parked somewhere, have a skyscale/griffon for more chests in specific alt parking zones, etc.) to get 4000 gold it would still take you 400 days of daily parkings...
considering Mukluk has 16mil karma, I can only assume he is doing a lot of meta events, and unless he is crafting legendaries and selling them, his main source of income would be selling the materials he gets from the metas.
The daily parking is nice and all but unless you actually play those alts you are actually going to be at a massive gold loss for a very long time
GW2 gives you 5 character slots, that's 4 alt parking and a main assuming you only play 1 character.
Amount of Alt parkers you need (Kaineng JP chest, Ice Shards, Crystal Desert Jackel JP, one of the Soto chests) any alt after that you will be at a loss for about a year before that alt park can make you profit unless you are actively playing it. 1 character slot = 800 crystals (600/640 on deal/sale). 800 crystals = 330g to buy or if you exchange crystal to gold it would be aprox 220g.
let me break it down:
800 crystal = character slot
800 crystal paid with money = aprox 220g
800 crystal bought with gold = aprox 330g
1 alt parked at the 5th best place is at best 1g worth (but will take a while to cash in due to it being a currency rather than a sellable item) which would take you at worst 220 days for that extra alt to make sense to get or at worst 330 days.
Personally I do a lot of alt farming because I made a bunch of characters that I try out stuff with some times (1 of each character) and when I get bored of one i place it at a parking spot and use another one till im tired of it too lol
But if you ask me is it worth to do alt parking while only playing 1 character or if you think alt parking will make you a lot of gold anytime soon, I just wanted to give you a small reality check.
Alt parking for me is a great way to save on spending later rather than making gold, or to save myself from farming certain currencies because I can trade in for them using another one that I farm almost passively for daily.

The cost of character slots in gems/gold/real money, who is now just a worthless character for sitting on a chest spot, getting them to the location without TP to friend. Still takes time to login and logout every character and open chests, something I find insanely boring since it's not gameplay just farming,
I agree that alts cost gold but I started early and have paid for everything from in game gold. I have 11 alts and 1 main. I play all professions while farming and have learned a lot about the game. Alt parking is a good way to make gold. Is it the best way maybe for some and not for others. I have 1 set of Legendary Armor, all leg runs and sigils, all leg trinkets, leg backpack and 9 weapons. I have done many different farms but playing the game is the best way to make gold. I also have been lucky with many good drops while playing. New players and longtime players make the free alts that come with the game and start making easy money because if you want stuff in GW2 you are going to need gold. I burn out then take several months off come back refreshed and ready to go again. Rinse and repeat - now I can do less farming and a lot more playing and have a goal for more legendary items. Heavy Armor is next, I am glad I like WvW.

The thing is that doing that is about 15 minutes a day, which isn't much. This adds up with time, it's at least 150g/month for doing almost nothing, then add fractals dailies + meta events + strike missions (obviously you won't be doing them every day, but at least a few times every week) and soon you will be getting nearly 500g/month or more. Which is much, much more than the average player does. Most ppl have the time to do this, they just have no idea how much these activities pile up over time.

top 9 alt parking spots in total yield 14g per day, any alt park after this is less than 1g per park.
You can start with 5 characters, so at most you have 1 main and 4 alt parking, with the top 4 alt parks you make about ~8g per day, making 1 month ~320g
That sounds good and all, but any alt after that actually isn't that great, why?
Getting another alt = 800gem (~600 when its on discount), what is 800 (or 600) gems in terms of gold? well as it is right now it's about 250g-350g.
After the top 4 alt parking spots, you start getting less gold per alt, meaning every alt parked after that will have to spend more days to be able to pay for itself before it turns in a profit.
Starting with 5th parking spot it nets 1.6g, which would make it take about 188 days before it starts yielding a profit
Any alt after that will be essentially 1gold or less per day, making it take almost a year per alt you make before it starts netting you a profit. And here is the kicker, when you have so many alts that do the alt parking, you will start resenting the game, because instead of playing it, you have a list of daily small tasks that will start taking most of your gametime and drain your soul in the process, making you not want to play the game.
To summarize, I would not recommend having more than 6 alt parking, and honestly 4 is good enough if you are willing to do more than just log in click log out and are willing to fly a bit from chest to chest in a zone on 1 character, but even with my 5 alt parked characters, some days I dread the thought of doing it because I am so sick of this 10 minute ritual on every reset every single day. Yes it makes you some passive income, but that is only if you are willing to do it for months and months and months before you even see the difference in income. IT IS the best gold/hr, but not at the cost of making another alt character you paid for to do alt parking for you
and thats why i not play gw2 anymore. daily stuff that make the game like a chore. even if one thing takes only a few minutes what you show here if do all everyday its at least 40 minutes of daily repeatable stuff. and at the end you not feel like playing content and progressing the character anymore-
Why do things you consider like a chore when you can do things you enjoy ? It's your fault if you do things you don't like and then quit because of it.
I never liked gathering and so I don't do gathering and instead focus on what I like. For me it's doing some raids/fractals/strikes, but then sometimes I want a bit of change and go WvW or I go and farm a map for a bit , there is no point in burning yourself out, take your time doing what you enjoy the most and don't be afraid to take a break from the game if you feel like it
thanks for the tips Muk, especially with some locations for the greater chests in Soto maps. That will help me finish off the last little bit for the first set of OW armor and help me out with the second set I'm currently started.

In dragon's end, buy the karma/conversion writs from the vendor at the southern waypoint [Frozen Sea Waypoint] (except the writ that costs imperial favor)
There is a better spot in Skywatch Archipelago. In Jede Mech Habitation Zone 03 at Vass's Compassion is one Greater Arcane Treasure chest and one small chest masked as rock. Second Greater Arcane Treasure chest is directly below on balcony near Kestrel's Vow. With prototype position rewinder you can farm all three. As a bonus north of Vass's Compassion is Rich Orichalcum Vein.
My favourite spot, always fly there after doing wizards tower meta.

The trick is making passive income.. You can make a ton of money if you put it as your goal, but it quickly become a chore.. And once you spend it, it doesn't come back unless you make the effort. It's what I liked about WoW's gold, you could build that shit up by just playing.. Unless you know the tricks in gw2 you stay broke or buy gold.
Most the rewards in GW2 are in *stuff*, not gold. If you sell the stuff you get plenty of gold.

I like jumping into AB meta often. it's less than 10 minutes and you can get around 4-5g by selling the amalgamated gem from the chest and the unidentified gears
The biggest thing left out of this is how doing the Eternal Ice part requires a LOT of Karma farming...its sooo easy to burn through 100,000 karma via this method and that takes a shit ton of events to get.
That makes this "12 minutes a day" very, very wrong as it requires many hours of play to be able to even do a part of it. A slight correction of "12 minutes a day spending what you may already have gets you rich".
Of course everything in this video requires gameplay outside of just farming. Which should make you happy! Doing a meta here and there or simply completing hearts with each story step makes plenty of karma. You get to play the game, and spending just a few minutes of your day alt-farming makes the rest of your gaming experience more smooth.
I know some things have changed with log in rewards and dailies. But I was able to buy all the QoL items, 20 character slots etc. With only doing stuff like this for less then 10 mins a day, and I would argue I did even less because I'm even more lazy.
The funny part is when you see people asking about making gold in game, and you give them these hints / tips. They blow it off as they don't have "time" for that. Even stranger still are the people willing to farm meta events for hours, for basically the same amount of gold
I’m guessing that those people who “don’t have time” for it actually mean they have more fun running metas and other in-game activities than logging and gathering chests/nodes. Not to mention imprisoning those poor alts :(
GW2 is unique in that most rewards are earned through consistent daily events and fast farms, not long grinds or exclusive rare items like other MMOs. It requires daily logins rather than dumping large amounts of time all in 1-2 day, not great for people who only play on weekends or few days off.
There is kind of a problem with this whole scheme. You watch this video because you have very little gold and want to make it. One of the primary ways is off home instances. BUT if you are new and haven't developed your home instance buying the nodes costs 30-50 gold+ which is kind of impossible for new players. I can see that down the track it would be very useful, but no new player is going to be making the gold you talk about from their home instance any time soon unless they buy gems and converts them to gold to be able to afford the nodes from off the TP (or makes gold some other way).
You can find people advertising their full home instances every day at reset in rata sum like he says in the video, I bring in multiple groups every day I'm online for a total of 12-15ppl and there's usually still people letting others in their home instances up to 2-3hrs after
if you have some extra alts, there are a couple of chests with 100% jade runestone drop rate [sometimes, even 2] in echovald, 2 are even pretty close so the position rewinder may come in handy
i have a good amount of alts there, and 4 chest got a guaranteed drop, plus valdhertz mini dungeon and the kaineng one makes 6 jade runestones per day + extras
these videos are so much more useful than these GW2 websites. There is so much stuff on efficiency etc. which the site doesnt even remotely explain on how to do and its a godsend seeing someone tell me about the home location thing. I'm a new player, I didn't even know guild halls can have gather spots

My only real concern about the home instance nodes is that they are initially 50 gold each iirc. Do you have an estimate for roughly how long we need to farm them to become profitable after the initial 50 gold each?
I do not. But I can say again that if you do not wish to build the home yourself you can always borrow someone elses.

After casually playing I had all the home nodes in a year and half, just because why not and nothing else to really spend gold on. But if you can log on right at the server reset, you can basically get a insta home instance run.

I'm sure this is obvious, but if you have one set of infinite gathering tools, make sure to put them into your shared inventory slots so your next character can use them.
i don't have those tools, but asaik you put normal tools on each alt and then put the infinite ones in shared inventory slot. Then you only have to double click in the inventory window for equipping (which works regardless of the normal tools), but also unequipping. Then the infinite ones are back in the shared inventory slot and free to use for your next alt.
my main problem is, that using alts solidifies my habid of using only on char, because the other ones are stuck at their parking spot, if only there would be the potential TP2Alt, to easily switch the locations of alts, without the necessity of asking other players.
do this and one EoD meta every day for about 10-14 days then you'll be able to craft gen3 weapons to sell them, within 2 months i made 5k+ gold
