Dude!!! Those are the best-looking beads that I have ever seen!!!! Also, stop telling people about drift fishing. Can't us old people have special things for ourselves 😆.
I’ve hooked many, many steelhead drifting in low, gin clear water. One year the fish stacked in this well known flat on my local River, had a little under cut bank under a hanging down tree limb. You could throw whatever you wanted bait wise at those fish and they just wouldn’t eat. But if you just floated a tiny piece or pink yarn and puffball, breaking an egg or two from your skein pieces just to give it that smell. Idk if it was the buoyancy of how the presentation was vs using an actual piece or roe. But I smacked down on that pod of fish day in and day out for a week, eventually even realizing I needed to stop being greedy and started showing some of the guys drawing blanks and fishing right beside me , just what the slightest trick was making me so successful. As much as I love to think I’m a league of my own when steelheading, fact was quickly proven that I had just figured out what that group of fish wanted, because as soon as I hooked others up with that exact setup, they caught fish as well. Now this was before bobbers really became a thing down in my neck of the woods, so looking back I’m sure you could have gotten some fish out of there on floats. Hard part would have been getting deep enough back and under that branch hanging over the water to be in the pod of fish without your float getting hung up, that tree limb and all the branches literally hung into the water a few inches. You could throw above the branch and it would drift down just perfectly under there. Maybe 1/4 OZ slinky and the slightest bite. Gosh I miss that year. Lmao. Steelhead season is almost upon us gents. Happy holidays to all.
I love drifting slinkies with a double bead rig. Top bead big and bottom bead small. A heavier slinky so I can do those long cross river casts when I need to. There isn't a month of the year it won't catch fish.
Drift fishing can be deadly in low water it's all about presentation love the vids keep them coming good on u Nick
Absolutely nothing beats a sand shrimp solo drifted in low clear water it has no equal

Love the info you guys teach us! Thank you
Love it! Makes me want to get out there and fish.
Nothing can beat a beat in low clear water as far as I'm concerned.

Great video guys, headed out this weekend low water or not!
Im trying to get a few hrs in after work !
What kind of mono works best for that jig set up?
Fluro is much better imo. No visibility plus it sinks keeping your gear more in line with your bobber
Dying to know what river that is.
Dave's hell of a fisherman, catch fish out a Mudd puddle! Been meaning to get down and fish with him!
