Content tip, would like a really good in depth bank fishing ponds/resivoirs for trout/bass that gets into a bit of a longer video so we can really digest it in depth. I'm in Colorado so the trout are notorious here but not sure how to tackle these specific spots
You guys should do a series of videos about getting off the bank. You could do 5 videos of raft fishing, what type of raft you should buy, what types of rivers are good for rafts, launching at a ramp vs a non ramp spot, rowing basics, where do you stop to fish vs fishing while floating through, raft maintenance basics. You could do the same thing for drift boats, sleds, etc. and address the first time boat buyer who thinks they want one boat to do everything. Thanks for the content.
I'd love to see a video of you breaking down exactly how you tie your fisherman's knotsl. The way you hold your line and your the clinch knot so efficiently is something I would like to emulate.
Would love to see some more fly fishing content, maybe summer steelhead on the fly or just big trout on the fly. Maybe hit something like the Williamson river or crane prairie.
I recognize that bridge! I work for the parks department that runs that boat launch. I also fish there and all up and down the rest of that river. I've always been watching to see if you guys are out here.
Just caught a PB rainbow this morning after work and I’m giving credit to this channel but specifically to Jordan man you’ve given me so much knowledge bout different styles of fishing rivers for trout thanks brotha big fan of this channel!
Hey Jordan fred here , so alot of folks don't get the fishing lingo such as ,tailout, or ,bucket riffle you guys mention it alot on rivers but not everyone know what they refer to just a thought. BTW YUZ MY FAVORITE 😂
Good video, the river spots looked awesome. One tip I have used with trout fishing is to work up a river (not down river), my theory is that the fish cannot see what is happening behind them. It has proven itself to be effective, for me anyway.
Love Okuma rods...that's my main go-to rod in the Great Lakes, generally 10-ft or longer M or ML for Steelhead. For salmon, Okuma Celilo 8-9'6" Medium fast-action rods work well. When throwing any sort of hardware (spinners, spoons, etc.), the 9'6" Celilo rods are perfect regardless of salmon/steelhead. Out West braid seems to be king for mainline. In Great Lakes tribs in the NE US, lighter fixed-float setups using mono is your best bet, 10-12 lb. test for mainline, and 4-7 lb fluoro for leader line. Mono doesn't freeze up like braid and spools off the reel more smoothly on spinning reels. When is the Addicted crew planning on a trip out East to Ohio/PA/Western NY to fish for our "Great Lakes Steelhead?"
Catch and cooks can never go wrong! love the content, just started to get into angling and I tell you what, I'm struggling lmfao. I am out of Portland Oregon, so if any other addicts have tips feel free to reply to this comment. Peace and Love.
All i know is i follow alot of your recommendation and they have never failed me. From the rod to the reel an the way i present my rig wether drifting or bobber fishing its made me a better fisherman an given me greater enjoyment out of fishing.
Repeated content is good. It shows what still works. Also a good reminder of things to consider when going out on the water. For example the quick google search you mentioned in this video. I did that search again and saw the same WDFW page that I have seen before. But this was a good reminder. Go where the fish are! Unfortunately, that does not always mean what is closest to me. Thanks for the advice.
As a follow up, I recently went to one of the locations listed on the WDFW site that shows fish "should be returning in 2024". I got a nice fish out of there :-) I enjoy going there but it is a trek to get there and it is not close to home.
Great video, Jordan. Just an idea but do your beginner guide to trout video (where you went to Walmart before going fishing and bought your gear) with other species of fish. Might be fun
I love your videos and I've learned alot from them. But I'm from the Great Lakes region and our rivers and streams can be much smaller than what you guys fish. What about a video about downsizing your techniques to smaller rivers and streams with slower currents?
Great video. Love your tutorials. Very basic but informative and always learn something. Keep up the good work. Thanks ADX. Can’t wait until April next year 😂 A rowing tutorial wouldn’t be too bad to see
Great content as always! I know you have done an in depth how to video for fishing from a kayak but maybe you could do one from a drift boat. How do you choose launch and pull out locations? What techniques do you use throughout a float? When and where do you decide to anchor up or pull onto the bank to fish? How is the boat best set up with gear? Thanks again for doing all you do for the fishing community!
That's cool that you have multiple rods. What about us that really don't have that luxury right off? What's a good balanced setup for any water type steelhead/trout fishing?
I'm not sure about everyone else . But I have trouble being consistent during the pink salmon season. Lures, spinners, jigs ,or float fishing. Which is best for consistent hookups
try a maximum number or species..on the upper williaette primarilly warm water. Saturday I was at small and large mouth bass, blue gill, crappie, pumpkinseed, channel cat and squawfish. I have also
Fishing with a Colorado XT pontoon boat vs a drift boat. I have a one person pontoon boat with a trolling motor and oars. Tempted to give it a try on the upper Salmon river but not sure if this is a wise idea vs a drift boat. Your thoughts would be most informative.
😅I'm that bearded weirdo in the cowboy hat goin' right on right on!! 😅 I'm such a douche on camera! Y'all rock! The park rangers at Barton and Carver told me I was on this vid! Thanks guys! Keep educating our youngins on the fishing! They'll appreciate it in the long run frfr!

NA use 20 braid and when your line starts sinking put paraffin wax on the line. Use the small Storm candles I Carry them. Just warm it and swipe your line with it and your off again water proof and floats. Do about ten feet of it and begin casting again. Wax from the bobber up line about ten feet.
I wish you guys would spend more time on subject #3. I understand it is hard to do without mentioning river names, but maybe you could find a way to "beat around the bush" if you feel what I'm saying 😁
How do you judge which fish you keep. Let’s just say hypothetically that all my catches are keeper size, however some are larger and some are smaller. What’s the etiquette on fish size. Let the bigger fish go and keep the foot longs? Or vice versa ? Love the vids. Tight lines boys ✌️
Come to Texas! Lighthouse lakes Aransas Pass(kayaks and small boats only)! Corpus Christi (fishing fantastics live here) fish everything and everywhere! Laguna Madre September-February is blissful. Lake Fork is arguably the best Bass Lake in the world!!! Enough said! And Texas food and hospitality is really great and way more affordable than back home in Washington. I miss Washington and Oregon really bad but these places and my senior parents needing my help makes it all worth it.
Love Jordan tutorials! Umm I’d like to see some different species videos. It’s a dream to go salmon and steelhead fishing, but not really an option in my state, or with my wallet (married 😢😂)
I found a spot on the Clackamas River that’s holding a good amount of borderline trout/steelhead. I’m trying any technique I can think of/ google search and I can’t get them to bite. Fish everywhere but they won’t bite. Any suggestions?
Ok, what content do I want to see next. Drone footage - making it’s way down a river, describing the waters. Lingering on specific holes and runs, describing what is going on and why that matters to the fisherman.
I always see you walking down trails or roads to certain fishing holes. How do you track down these holes? Google Earth? Wird of mouth? I'm new to Steelhead fishing and trying to locate places to go (I don't have a boat to use).
Go fish the lower skagit river and tell use what to use for bank and boat fishing, and then transition to lake Shannon and baker lake. Ya! Show him everything he needs to know...for free. What gear, honey holes etc. That way he doesn't have to do any research or put any effort into it. He can just get his stuff and go. 😐
low cloud deck to help fish get out of cover. big rains melts on rivers with no dams. just keep going up river much like the fish are doing till u find water thats not chaotic. than move with those conditions downriver and you will stay with the bite. Thanks for the tips Jordan and thanks for the teaser Marlin that new gear looks awesome. I can’t wait till Sunday. summer merch drop 2024
Common mistake: comparing your fishing success to those you see on social media.
“Go deeper and deeper as you enter the hole” with the little laugh was great 😂
Loll timestamp??
Around the 11:30 mark
We need a rowing tutorial!! These rivers deserve respect and the new guys gotta know how to back a drift or raft through sketchy sections

I would love strategies for rowing. Where to put your boat to maximize casting in different types of runs and things like that.
Would love to see more Salmon & Steelhead fly fishing content!
I do wanna say that I got an Okuma rod & Reel because of you!
Hey Jordan, you should bring your kayak to Port Angeles. I know a killer place to jig salmon. It opens up on the 1st.
Good video, the river spots looked awesome. One tip I have used with trout fishing is to work up a river (not down river), my theory is that the fish cannot see what is happening behind them. It has proven itself to be effective, for me anyway.
I find these types so peaceful and relaxing
Bro, Love all your tutorials. Wish I could fish one day with you .
Good class thanks Oregon
New to the channel. Love the advice on how to identify what is good water to fish.
Great video, Jordan. Very informative and very educational, and thanks for taking the time to show us how we can help improve our catch ratio. 👏👏

Jordan you guys should definitely consider fishing the Klamath river, trinity river, mad river here in northern California
Great video, Jordan. Just an idea but do your beginner guide to trout video (where you went to Walmart before going fishing and bought your gear) with other species of fish. Might be fun
Hah, my son and I walked by as you were filming this on the Clack. Keep up the good vids.

Drift boat/ Raft
Yes I’ve said this couple times for sure, drift boat safety and navigation with Jordan Knigge
I'm not sure about everyone else . But I have trouble being consistent during the pink salmon season. Lures, spinners, jigs ,or float fishing. Which is best for consistent hookups
Can you do a video on how to catch trout on a fly rod? In depth on different types of water.
Thankyou for the tips Jordan can't wait till the big drop on 6/30/24
try a maximum number or species..on the upper williaette primarilly warm water. Saturday I was at small and large mouth bass, blue gill, crappie, pumpkinseed, channel cat and squawfish. I have also

Super informative video as always! By the way, I've heard about trotting or checking your float from some guides. What do you guys think about that?
Good tips!
Hey Jordan thanks for the info but how long of a Bumper do you recommend for your float rod?

Great idea. I use some ancient fly float paste to do the same. Especially as the super slick wears down.
Or use floating line.. way easier..
Could you make a video on anchored fishing
I wish you guys would spend more time on subject #3. I understand it is hard to do without mentioning river names, but maybe you could find a way to "beat around the bush" if you feel what I'm saying 😁

Great video
Id love a more indepth video on float weight.

When you gonna put out that salmon video that you filmed on Sunday, im probably in it, in the backround

Fishing out of a drift boat on the river tutorial
Hey bro would you guys do us all a huge favor and make an etiquette video? Maybe do a short one for sleds, drift boats, and bank fishing? I have not watched the video yet..but will say the 3 mistakes are: 1) not learning how to read water. 2). Not paying attention to the weather and river conditions 3) Relying on the internet (UA-cam, etc) on how to catch a steelhead.
Find a friend and/or mentor, get off your ass, and get out and go fish. You fish for steelhead long enough, you'll eventually learn 1). How to read water so you know exactly where a fish is going to be or not be and why, 2). You'll check the weather to make sure that the river you're fishing isn't either shot, about to be shot, or a front has come in on you and screwed up your day on the water, and 3) You won't be reading my comments and instead are actually on a river putting your time in on the water.
I need to pay more attention while driving about you were only about 10 minutes from my house in this vid
#1 expecting to catch a Steelhead.
