everyones talking about "cant wait for the M2" but this is a way more relevant car for about 80% of people
The rear looks great. I own the 2023 M240i, and the rear looks very aggressive, sporty especially when passing. So much better than the previous generation.

I agree. Love the last gen 240i but the rear was underwhelming. This generation really gave the back a more interesting and aggressive look.

I can understand the „full M-car“ mirror caps etc and I think it fits the M Performance models:
Also S3, Golf R, A35 etc have such features and the M240 is a lot more powerful as these and is even close(er) to RS3 or A45
M240i is comparable to s3 or a35
M2 is rs and a45 level.

M240: 3 Liter 6 cylinder, RWD platform
S3 & A35: 2 Liter 4 cylinder, FWD platform
M240 has 50% more replacement, 50% more cylinder, 25% more torque as S3 & A45

Im a bmw fanboy since eighties (very picky one lol) and in a flood of bad designs, this wins so hard. Came to check the vid, as i’ve just seen it in black and can’t get it out of my head since haha. That’s how i imagined sporty 3 series from 80’s would translate into modern times, really dig the car so much, can’t wait to try it out. Great job bmw!

Can't wait to get my M340i Touring by the end of March. It will replace the worst car (in terms of quality and reliability) I owned. A 2019 CLA 35 AMG shooting brake. This B58 inline 6 engine is just a masterpiece!

What problems you have with the a35?
@@evaristocorripio5434 actually it's a CLA 35the list is extremely long!
- Multibeam defect after 8 days
- Rear damper after 3 weeks
- Several airbag malfunctions
- Several windowbag malfunctions
- Cylinder head replaced after 35'000km
- Since 24th december of last year 4matic is not working, which means that the car is front wheel driven. They can't fix it, since appearently the components are not available.
That's just part of the problems I had so far.
@@rmr5184 Wow thats a lot of problems! Don't think that Im hating on mercedes because Im not, but tbh its my third option between the german brands (Audi, Bmw, and Merc). The interiors while looking very cool are actually very cheaply made, just based on the thousands of videos of mercedes creaking interiors, the plastics move alot. But all of the things you mentioned are not even interior related! I but thats just my opinion, would take the S3 over the cla35, but the Merc is a litlle more engaging to drive. I found Audi interiors, while being more boring, design related, are very well put together.
@@evaristocorripio5434 I've uploaded my first and only video on youtube a few weeks ago just about the creaking interior. You can have a look at it. I'vo owned cheap cars which had better built quality than mercedes! I've been so disappointed by this brand that I won't be buying Mercs anytime soon again.
To be honest I never particularly liked the Audi A/S3 and the CLA shooting brake offered much better practicality with its huge boot. Anyway there is no doubt that the Audi interior is much better!
Nevertheless I'm really looking forward to the M340i.
@@rmr5184 The M340i is on another level man, its amazing! My parents have a b9 S4 which is the competitor to the M340i and it is really a blast! Love the V6 engine! Enjoy the m340i man!
The brake hardware is plenty enough so I wonder if it’s a calibration or pad compound thing?
I think if you’ll take off the limiter it’s should ride about 280 km/h in stock
I own an M140I and I love that new M240I. Maybe later...
Drove it, loved it and ordered it right away. Performace wise it makes all the F-Series M cars obsolete. And i really love the older M models but this is just mad. b58 all the way.
You’re mad if you think this car is better than an F87 M2 Comp. B58 is nothing compared to the S55. M lite.
I just wish you could tune the engine & gearbox & add a bigger turbo like we have on the F20

What about the 2022 BMW series 2 230i what do think it will top out at on the Autobahn. I think with the four cylinder 2.0 turbo it would be more economical on fuel consumption especially with gas prices on the rise.
I'm not a big BMW fan, but I like this model it's more powerful and it looks more aggressive, and I specially like that is made in my state to the world (san Luis potosi, mexico) because it's a relatively small city:)

They are building my 2024 M240i in Purple with Red interior in 2 weeks and I also started my car search with a Toyota Supra. I am so much happier with this purchase. BMW was so much better to work with than Toyota.

Not jumping on a bandwagon at all. I’m a BMW fanboy and the back is weird looking. Lights are out of scale and WAY too far apart and the proportions are off at the back especially

Michelin is far and away the highest quality tire producer for all round real world road driving conditions.
I am sure you got brakes that where worn since it’s a tester car. This has the same brake system as my M340 which weighs more and stops great.

still don't know about the sound if it's fake or real .... not easy : seems to by recorded with mike amplified and sent back to the sound system .

Top speed is meant to be limited to 155 mph. Need to have someone remove this limiter in the DME.
0-60 mpg in 3.6 seconds with the AWD. I'm 39 and remember the supercars chasing 3 seconds to 60. Amazing.

No, it isn‘t faulty. There are several videos on UA-cam showing the exact same top speed on GPS.
