Angell has some extended length 18x20, either K7 Lime XL or through customization... tried the K7 Lime XL myself, nice to hit and rally but hard to serve, volley and play effectively in match play. Less powerful than Ezone 98+ but also more difficult to swing. I also agree with most of your comments and also power can be achieved also through string tension & some weight on hoop if needed, so I prefer to use control oriented racquets (16x20 or 18x20, thinner beam) and adjust power/stability as needed, but its hard to tune down power (to some extent unless strung high).
Nice! Yeah I find 16x19 to have more power in moments where I want more touch or control. I never find that I am short on power unless the frame is really flexy, it's generally unrealted to the string pattern if I feel it's too weak. I notice a little power difference but I have room in me to swing faster or harder so it's no problem. Should be a few more good 20 cross options out there.
Coach Chase on Winston Du channel is one of those fews who could wield this racquet to great extent (zero customization). Then again, he could do the same things if not better with a Blade v7 so maybe it is because of his high level techniques :)
I do think a longer racket is a little harder, when all things are equal otherwise. But not so much people shouldn't consider it. Same thing about heavier rackets. But just like those, if you can indeed swing it, you'll will be rewarded. Just a matter of if you're worthy.
Really? I hated it. Felt weak through balls yet hard to swing for how unrewarding it was. In enjoying my tc95 at 28 inches much more than I recall enjoying the Serena
Hey. Thank you for the video. I’m trying to switch out from v12 prostaff 98 (regular, not RF version). Have you tried that one and any thoughts on its comparison to this ezone?
There's a prostaff 98?? RF or PS in general...I think a good question here would be to ask you; what do you like about the prostaff and why do you want to move away from it? I enjoyed the prostaff more than the ezone but the short handle on prostaff is a bother. They're both kinda stiff and pretty powerful but the prostaff has a plush and plowing feel to it the ezone doesn't. Also maybe better feel overall with prostaff. Harder racket to use maybe but if you're good enough I think it rewards that. Honestly just not totally loving the ezone so much but it's great for what it is. What do you want from your next racket you don't get from the prostaff? If you tell me that I might have good insight for you..
Not sure. Currently enjoying the vcore 95 but I barely know it. I know my Angell TC 95 better but it's still early to say. I don't know if I have a favorite right now. I've been looking for it, but yet to know if I've found it All the rackets I'm selling now are one's I tried to like because that was all that was available for extended. Now I'm just trying to find my favorite and extend it if that's the only way to make it happen. But maybe my angell will be the one.
I often wonder if I should go extended as I’m 5’7.. but I actually have the bad habit of hitting a little lower on the stringbed actually, so it’s prob gonna throw me off
what tension did you mostly use? I want to use an extended so bad because im 5´7. I also like control racquets, like the Prostaff 97 v13 and the new Radical. I know extended racquets are a good idea for short players specially for 2 handed backhands, so I wanna try so bad. I didnt wanna try babolat ones because they are too powerful and I tought this one was the more control oriented extended on the market Now I dont know what to do, I cant playtest in my country so I have to buy/sell thanks for the review
It's probably a touch less powerful. You could do the 98 over the 100. The v-core 98 honestly feels more controlled in some ways. However, you could check out this prokennex racket. The Pro Kennex Q+5X Pro. I might actually try this one again because I once thought it was way too mushy but maybe it was my crazy string choice at the time. I used to think it was underpowered but I might try again and this is a different generation of them.
That's cool! No, though. My whole point is that new market should have more optoins. I made a video about that specifically as well you can check out. I go on a rant haha.
I don't like the idea of trying to get a racket that is very much one way to be another way with the strings. I don't want to try and level out a racket with strings, rather, to compliment it. All my strings are generally lower powered, controll strings that are very spin friendly. 16g as well which is less lively. So yes, I would say I definitely have. For the ezone probably tried about 15 different strings and various tensions over my time with it. I had nearly 2 years with it.
Probably the best ones to demo. I like ezone stock. Might suggest vcore 98 with a little weight on the head somewhere too. The solinco frames might be good!
"I don't think this racquet has the best feel". I can almost hear the racquet talk back and say "the feel is in your hands". Modern players rely too much on the racquet to fill in the gaps in their own games. How did Laver etc achieve feel while playing with 65 sq inch sticks? I rather work on the deficiency of my own game before going on a racquet shopping rampage.
I think anyone can adjust to the quirks of a racquet with time. I think it is also true that some rackets give more feedback than others. Strings surely do as well. That is just one of many reasons I left this racquet, though. I think a good example of something like you are saying is Dustin Brown, hitting with a super stiff and powerful Pure Drive but had "good hands" a supreme talent in that specific way. You gotta find what works for you but some of these opinions are pretty agreeable but they are never everything.
I never had arm issues with any racquet, actually. I'm not known to have any arm issues but I can still appreciate comfort. This EZONE is kind of stiff but also muted. Some complain about arm issues and I can see why but I personally never had any. Spent a lot of time on the 98 plus and then quite some time with the standard 98. Maybe a solid year or more in total and pretty much back to back even with 16g strings (which was mostly an attempt to tame the crazy power)
The head gravity pro? I felt that way about it. Not as bad as some but yeah, like the top 10 percent of my power was just gone forever...that was too bad. Cool racket but maybe not quite for me.
@@americanbystandard sn't that discontinued? Not into past rackets, I want something current that plays well. I should do a video on my current rackets since people keep asking or suggesting frames.
Lol this is the series finally. Most likely. I hope so. Or else I'll feel like a sitcom. Maybe I'll come back when I need the power boost but for now it's just too much.
I love my 98+. I string it super low, at 40lbs, wirh really spinny string. It feels great. Power, spin awesome.
Wow that's nice and low. What gauge string?
@@ZeroLoveTennis 17 gauge.
Tempting to try that sometime.

im currently test my perception 100D I extended
I heard the 2022 version was more controlled
It might be. I noticed a little more stability. Maybe it's crazy power when you didn't want it
blade 102\104 sw is amazing on both control and power

Fantastic review !
Thanks!
Give Angell XLs a go, amazing frames. The K7 lime is superb
I have a TC 97 at 28. Lime only goes to 27.5 right? Might be curious.

Hmm, sounds like you might want to adjust spacing anyway. Could be a good way to force yourself to.
Sad love story with ezon98😭

Have you tried the ezone tour? I love it. Is it perfect no….but I haven’t been impressed by a lot of racquets these days.
I haven't. Didn't bother because it's not extended and it's 16/19.
have you tried ezone with solinco confidential or other control string like tour bite? if not try a 12 dollar string before selling

@@ZeroLoveTennis try the new ezone next month
@@mteca5093 I might but they won't have the plus then and it'll still be a 16/19 both of which aren't my thing.

what about the new ezone 98+
Hmmm this is an older video. My reasons might be different these days but it's still not in favor of using that kind of racket.
How compares with Ezone tour98?
98 tour much more stable and about as easy to swing. You may really notice that at net with stability
Imo EZT is unpredictable at times, how about this 98+? It gives a similar plow with extended length (instead of weight in EZT)
