Thanks for the review, Jonas… I’m very excited. I just received my new Ezone 100 ( M vs gut 16, 55: C rpm blast 17, 52), and will be hitting with it for the first time later this morning. As a senior, I decided that it was time to switch from the 98 18x20 to the 16x19 100 frame. I need a bit more help from the racquet. My first Yonex.🎾
Nice review and comparison between the most popular Yonex Ezone path models! I've just bought Ezone 100 2022, strung it with Yonex Poly Tour Pro 1.25 to 23.5/24kg and after first hitting I have to say that racquet is fantastic. It has almost everything - controllable power level, decent amount of spin, decent amount of control, nice feel and these specific kind of friendliness and the short "introductory period" to get used to it. Additionally, my previous racquet was Dunlop Srixon CX 200 (2019 version) - which was far more control-oriented. Now the game looks easier, more powerful and the most important - stable. Maybe just a little, very little bit less controllable.
I am looking forward to choose between the 98 and 100 , the 100 seems nice based on your statements. I have some questions for it tho,I hope you can reply since I can't demo the racket. Is it too powerful for a power-baseliner? I am a 3.5~4 at best ,serving and net play aren't my strong suit,I usually stay on the baseline and grind. When I try to hit hard and go for the winner the ball usually sails long ,so I mostly strike with 70% or less with my forehand .However on my backhand side if I don't go over 70% the ball flies short . Do you think that this racket is stable enough for a guy who can generate his own power ,and still got good control over the depth of the ball?
@@Leo-nc3yx I think that the 100 version is not too powerful even for someone who takes a long swing and generates a lot own power, because the racquet response is still controllable. That Yonex suits best the baseliners who love to open the court with approach shots and with the proper amount of spin and proper stringing the ball should not go too long. It also depends on your type of groundstrokes - spinny or flat. Strings are a little bit denser in the center of the head which provides control - a nice addition in my opinion. That Ezone power and control level is something between the Dunlop Srixon CX 200/Yonex VCore Pro 100 and Babolat Pure Aero/Dunlop SX 300. So in my view that racquet is very well-balanced and because of that easy to use for a lot of semi-advanced and also advanced amateurs. At last I have to say that it's stability is also very very nice (e.g. in comparison with CX200 which was even after adding weight on 3 and 9). One and almost only downside - it is not so fast through the air as 98 inch racquet. But I think it is still sufficient speed.
Finally got the 98 to demo. Incredible. Will be switching from the VCP 97HD. Pocketing is fantastic; so much more stable than the previous iterations - very solid volleying. Plenty of spin as tennis nerd mentioned; could really get my BH slice to bite, something the HD wasn’t good at. As stated, more free power; had been at 48lbs with the HD; will probably go up to 50-52. Great job Yonex!
Used to play the DR 98 and the Ezone 98 Tour 2020 and i also prefer the new one over both. Amazing racket! Just looking at the stats, i thought it might need some weight, but after playing a few matches, i think its very balanced and good as it is in stock form. Definitely a switch for me.
hello. i have switched to yonex ezone 100 (6th gen) and recently 7th gen ezone 98..what a difference. i played with the pure aero (2019) prior to the yonex. The pure aero gave me horrible tennis elbow, was not very forgiving, and felt cheaply made in china with no real quality control..ever since i switched to yonex, no tennis elbow, feels much better. more control, more power, way bigger sweet spot. way better overall. i used babolat for 13 years..the brand has fallen off. Yonex is made in japan and has a very strict quality control process. you really can not beat these racquets !
Man excellent comparison, as always! Thanks for this. Question: you think it’s okay for a beginner to use the ezone 98 and not the 100? Power has never been an issue for me so far, and I want the manoeuvrability and whippiness of a racket, that’s why I’m leaning more towards the 98. But I’ve heard people complaining about arm/wrist pain with the ezone 98 when they hit outside the sweet spot due to its relatively high stiffness. Just FYI I currently use the pro staff 97L but I don’t like this racket due to the small sweet spot and as a beginner I hit outside the sweet spot quite often (it feels dead and doesn’t fly over the net when I hit outside the sweet spot).
Great job. I’m trying to get a demo of the 98. Doubt I’ll like it enough to leave the VCP 97HD but want to feel the difference. Hit previous iterations; didn’t think they held up against heavy hitters (unless you added a ton of lead, thus radically changing the racquet).
I demoed both the 98 and the 100, and here's what I found: Ezone 98: Felt very boardy, stiff, and quite unforgiving. On ground strokes, I was getting more power, pop, and spin from my Blade 98 18 x 20, which really surprised me. I was also getting much more power, spin, and kick on my serves with the Blade, which left me scratching my head...How could I get more pop from an 18 x 20 frame??? I'm still baffled by this because it seems to be counter to what most reviewers have said about the Ezone 98. Ezone 100: Super plush, forgiving, lots of spin, noticeable pocketing, and lots of controllable power. I found that off-center shots were not completely doomed, and could still land in the court. I could slap and spin forehands, and it was great on my one-handed backhand. Slices were good too, although not as much plow as the Blade V7 due to lower swing weight. Serves were absolute bombs. Flat serves were effortlessly powerful, and kick serves jumped up nice and high with good movement. I will continue to demo these frames, but my overall feeling is that the Ezone 98 and 100 are two COMPLETELY different racquets. Although 98s are considered more of the player frame, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the 100 to more advanced players. I'm a 4.0 level player, but I can see how 4.5s and 5.0s could really benefit from the Ezone 100. If you didn't care for the 98, try the 100, and vice-versa. For any Blade V7 18 x 20 players out there that are looking for a bit more help from the racquet, I'd highly recommend the Ezone 100. I find that the Ezone 100 has the same kind of slightly muted, yet crisp feel of the Blade 98 V7 18 x 20. I will most likely switch to the 100, but will demo a few more sticks just to be absolutely sure. If I was playing a tournament tomorrow, I'd just pick up the Ezone 100 and would be completely confident to use it in match play.
I know it’s a bit old ,but recently I am trying to pick between 98 and 100 . I am about 3.5~4 at baseline, didn’t have a lot of service practice or net practice. Base on your reviews it seems like Ez 100 is a much better choice for us level ,I am using a head beginner racket for 6 years now ,I feel weak on clay with my ground stokes ,however on a faster hard court it often sailed fast and with good depth. Every reviews are saying 98 Square Inches = more control ,but I don’t think that really matters unless you are like a 5.0 at-least? Since I will probably not change racket until a decade, and I can’t demo those.
@@Leo-nc3yx Based on your game and level, I would definitely go with the 100. The Ezone line is marketed as “easy” to play with, but I only think that is true for the 100. In my experience, the Ezone 98 was quite demanding, even more than my Wilson Blade 98 18 x 20 racquets. This really surprised me. For a bit more feel of the ball, you might try the VCore 100 2021. It’s a bit crisper than the Ezone 100 2022, and I actually am leaning towards switching to it. If you prefer comfort over ball feel, the Ezone 100 would probably be better. It’s softer feeling on contact, and feels really plush. Although I have been using a 98 as a 4.0 player, I find that a 100 square inch frame gives me needed help in generating power & spin. More importantly,100s are much more forgiving, which greatly improves the experience of tennis for me. The Ezone 100 is a safe bet for most recreational players. It’s a really nice frame. Just keep in mind that Yonex handles run large. A Yonex grip 2 (4 1/4) feels like a Wilson grip size 3 (4 3/8).
@@naokisonoda-hq Thx a lot for replying ,didn’t show up on my notice bell . I just ordered Ez100 and hope it will be arriving soon so I can test it on the weekend. I was a bit worried at first with the grip size since I normally used a 3, but since you said it’s a bit larger than the others I am glad I ordered a 2.(Not like I have a choice, there’s only 1 left in my country lol)
@@Leo-nc3yx Congrats! I think you'll like your new Ezone 100 in size 2. If it's a bit too small, there are many ways to increase the size. However, if you're used to a Wilson or Dunlop size 3, you should be pretty happy with the Yonex size 2. I hope you enjoy your new stick!
@@naokisonoda-hq Just got my stick today , it's 300 grams exact ,Yonex's QC really is no joke! Also you are so right about the grip size ,it still feels a bit small for me,but it's noticeable larger than a Head grip 2 for sure.I was using a Head grip 3 for years, and I think this one is somewhere in between 2&3. I will have a field test on the weekend ,I am wondering at what strings should I use, since the RA at 67 is probably the stiffest racket I got, also the string tension. I usually use a hybrid(It's an unknown product in my country),and strung around 52-54 ,but my beginner racket(Head IG Heat) is a lot softer, probably around 50 in stiffness.
@@CH-yp5by this is true, but i was just curious because Jonas has always been a Prestige, Head Pro Tour kinda guy, so wouldn’t it make sense that he would prefer the Vcore Pro 97 as opposed to these new Ezones?
The VCore pro is far better than the new Ezone.. if you need more “help” from your racket then demo the new VCore pro 100. The stiff beam and muted feel of the new Ezone is too vanilla unless you’re using a super crisp poly.
I'm really glad to hear that is more arm friendly. I had to change EZ98 2020 because of that. I'm testing the Clash 98 v2. Really good For the arm , steady on mi OHB, but it feels clunky on mi forehand, more if y need to acelerate to hit a low ball whit topspin
Very thoughtful review and thanks for sharing what various playstyles will find in these racquets. I recently chose the EZone 100 coming from a Blade 98 v7. Not quite as whippy and weighs in at 11.5 oz strung with overripe vs Blade at 11.3
Which do you prefer? I currently own a blade 98 v8 but it's an 18x20. Not sure whether to get an ezone or purchase another blade but with 16x19 string set up
@@Christian3174 The Yonex 100 was too powerful for me, so I went back to my Wilson blade 16 x 19 version 7. I strung it with a Wildon Roland Garros hybrid set up and I won my club championship. I think I might try the new Wilson blade version eight 16 x 19.
Solid content again. Releasing a lot of content lately ! I am currently playing the radical MP (with leather grip). I have issues when I swing out (what I like to do :) and have issues with balls just too long. If I hold back a bit my strokes feels not natural. Recently played with the new Vcore 97 310, somehow I could really swing out and also generated much more spin than with my radical, i did not like the feel of the Vcore pro though, maybe because the very low flex. Maybe I should try the ezone 98. How does it compare to the radical MP wrt power, spin, maneuverability and playability? With the leather grip I feel the radical a bit too sluggish for my level, quite a hefty swingweight). Many thanks and keep up the good work.
Hi! Very good review (as always)! How do you compare this Ezone 98 2022 to Vcore 98 2021? In therms of power, spin, control..(I’m a modern intermediate/advanced player, I have a spin oriented forehand and a more flatter two-handed backhand, I am a “big” baseline hitter and definitely despite my modern grips I hit flat shots with few spin). Thanks!
I bought an Ezone 98 and the first time I played it i thought it was amazing, stable and powerful and accurate with decent spin, but then every time I played it, it got a bit worse for me...I think it's something about the feedback it gives you, the feel...In the end I went to a Babolat Pure Drive 98 :)
Thanks for your honest review, I am currently playing with Babolat Pure Drive 2021 and hitting one handed backhand. For one handed backhand should I go for Ezone98 or Ezone 100 ?
Great review, the picture quality comes up great on my 4K tv. I demoed both and usually play with Exone 100, but going with the 98 this time as 100 has too much power, DR 100 has more control than this 100 version 🤭
Just got 3 of the 98's. I used to have the DR98 and loved it so I'm sure these will be great. What strings would you recommend? Something like a poly tour pro to counteract the power? or perhaps and rpm rough for added spin?
hi, love your videos! Just wondered what your racquet is / your racquet of choice? I'm an intermediate player considering changing from pure drive to Ezone 98, interested to see what you use.
Thank you for the very informative comparison. I demoed the new VCore Pro 100 recently. I loved the feel and confidence I had in my swings. I’m hoping to demo the new Ezone 100 in a couple of weeks. How would you compare the new Ezone 100 to the new VCore Pro 100 and describe player-style fit?
@@osnowdeal my wife ended up with the ezone 100 and I with the VCore Pro 100. Both are fantastic, but different feel and different power/control balance point.
Pretty much yep. A better comparison re extreme tour would be the vcore 98 and the pure aero Vs. Spin oriented 98's with fairly high launch angles for head size. The upcoming 2022 Dunlop SX 300 tour looks like it will have a nice new variation to offer to the list. For the ezone 98, it competes with the pure drive Vs, Tecnifibre Trebound 298 Iga, Dunlop FX 500 tour, and so on. More for driving through court with some spin but not quite as easy as with the spin 98's and with a lower launch angle
While my results with the Ezone 98 have been fine this past week, I have not enjoyed the feeling I get from the racquet. I think someone who plays the Ezone needs to stick with it full time in order to really become connected and know what the racquet is doing. I can switch from many other racquets and vibe just fine. Ezone is just very different in terms of feel and connection even if the results end up being the same.
A Question Sir I use The Old Yonex Vcore 95 Flame Red 2018 & was asking about The New 2022 Yonex Ezone 98 (Shapavalov using) Which One is better I use a One handed backHand hoping to hit Pro tour with challenger events starting with commited training after I finish my Software course in December & I hit flat serves which I luv to hit aces should I stick with the Vcore 95 Flame Red or I should transfer to the Yonex Ezone 98 like Shapavalov did 💯🔥 Conclusion: Which of the two is better is better Yonex Vcore 95 Flame Red 2018 or Yonex Ezone 98 (Shapavalov using) Also Thank You very much for your videos ♥ U r God sent to us Tennis players from Africa who want to try out new racquets but can't afford to test all to figure out WATS best 💯
I recently developed elbow pain with my 2021 vcore 95. I am considering Exone 98 and Head Gravity Pro. Do you think I may have arm problems with the Ezone?
Ezone 98 Stiffness is 65 The Blade I think is 61 or 60 so there is you big difference. Vcore Pro 97 has a similar stiffness and swing weight to the Blade but has a large sweet spot and feels more like a 98, its a better racket to compare with, but it is 5g heavier
Hey Tennisnerd I am really hesitating between the Head Boom Pro and the Head Boom MP what should I choose?? I have an agressive style and I want a racquet with good power so I can hit great winners with the forehand and the backhand. (I'm 18 years old if that helps with the choice). If the Pro has almost the same power but with more control maybe it's the way to go? Maybe the stability of the MP is a problem?
I thought the Head Boom MP was too light and low-powered in its stock form. I'm an aggressive baseliner and thought the '22 Ezone 98 was much more better.
Same story. Ezone 100 slightly more comfortable. A slightly lower launch angle. Slightly less power. Slightly less ease of access to spin. Slightly more accurate. Slightly more predictable stringbed on flatter shots. Depends what variation of the blue racket formula you want. Both great rackets.
My 2021vcore98 has same size head as my 2020 ezone100...is the new ezone 100 bigger then the vcore98 if you put both rakets together?? I have new dr98 with plastic still on it...i never needed to open it cause i have 2 dr98 that i played with then went to vcore pro n mow im using vcore98....if you want we can trade yonex rskets with my new dr98 if you have a hard to get special yonex raket...im a yonex guy
Good review. Also, Yonex quality control is top so you will not need to customize to get your racquets to the same spec. How much difference between this one and the 98 2020 model? Also, is it too light to play doubles?
Sir is possible to get a category by category comparison across the major brands in a single video or cheatsheet? Head, Wilson, Babolat, Yonex. I'm looking for a new stick, but given that it's nearly impossible to playtest sticks in India, makes a pick that much harder.
Ezone 98 2022 is currently €250 since it's new model. 2021 model is €170 wonder if there is a huge difference in the latest model. Im currently on 2019 Ezone 98 model or so.
From playing with the last two ezones (2017/2020): Yes and yes yonex 2 feels to me like head 3 tk82s+leather and a bit smaller than 3 wilson. Also the flat flare helps me grip lower but takes some time getting accustomed to.
I tried a few different ones. I enjoy Poly Tour Pro 1.25 in the Ezones. At around 51 lbs for the 98 and 53 lbs for the 100. You can go lower than that of course.
Hi ! I should choice a Yonex for september. Sponsor of my club. I like specs 300g inch 100. I didnt like the feel of VCore red. Y enjoy Ezone 100 but maybe too power for me when I find the short angles to open the game. But so easy to play longer. Y enjoy VcorePro100 feeling and precision so good. But when i am tired (third set …) I miss power and play short. Guys your advice ? the Ezone 100 and push string mono control to balance it ? Which string ? RPM blast ? Or VcorePro100 and push string multi power to balance it ? Which string ? NRJ2 ? Or maybe Ezone 98 more control Ezone 100 and more power VcorePro100….? Sorry for my english
I demoed the new 98 and didnt like it at all. It felt like a loaf of bread. Dead with no feel. I own the previous model and this update seems odd. Less feel but i guess a bit stiffer for more power.
Thanks! Between the Ezone 98 and Head Boom Pro 98, which one do you favor? I am a senior player who has played with a Prince TT Graphite 107 27.5 inch for 20 years but its 12 oz weight and higher swing weight makes me too slow on ground strokes and volleys now. I have a Wilson Clash Pro that I just bought and like but want to try the new Head or Ezone before deciding which to go with. I know in another video on the Ezone 100 you commented that serves lacked power and I cannot tolerate much loss there since serving is the best part of my game.
I've been using the Wilson Clash Tour for a few years. Just tried the ezone 98 side by side with boom pro + vcore. I didn't see what the hype is around the boom pro, but the ezone 98 was awesome. More stable than the clash at the net, improved my one hand backhand (not sure how), and solid serves. 4.0 - 4.5 senior player.
@@ayokay123 I am OK with the 27 inch length also. Longer length adds more swing weight which I am trying to reduce since my swing speed is slower as a senior. However, I probably won't buy until March so we"ll see. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@scott94925 I think I will try the Ezone 98 since it is less stiff than the Ezone 100 by a little. Thanks for sharing what you found out. Also, TN said he liked the Boom MP with customization more than the Boom Pro 98 in the review after this one so that with your playtest eliminates the Boom Pro.
Hey, really love your work. The 2020 6th gen version of the ezone 100 has a higher stiffness rating despite having a lower beam width than the 7th gen ezone 100. I am in the market for a stable mutied feel racket that doesn't twist upon the receiving end of a heavy ball. Which one out of the 6th gen 100 ezone or the 7th gen would you reccomend? Exactly what I was looking for. Can you also compare ezone 100 to clash 100. Right now I’m playing with 2020 ezone 98 and clash 100 and wish I had a racquet in between the 2. I serve well with the ezone, but the clash is easier to defend with. A bit higher launch angle helps too. How is the power and control of the ezone 100 compared to clash

I was a bit worried at first with the grip size since I normally used a 3, but since you said it’s a bit larger than the others
I am glad I ordered a 2.(Not like I have a choice,there’s only 1 left in my country lol)
Also you are so right about the grip size ,it still feels a bit small for me,but it's noticeable larger than a Head grip 2 for sure.I was using a Head grip 3
for years, and I think this one is somewhere in between 2&3.
I will have a field test on the weekend ,I am wondering at what strings should I use, since the RA at 67 is probably the stiffest racket I got, also the string tension. I usually use a hybrid(It's an unknown product in my country),and strung around 52-54 ,but my beginner racket(Head IG Heat)
is a lot softer, probably around 50 in stiffness.
Do you prefer to use the Vcore Pro 97 310 or the Ezone 98, and why?
Two very difference rackets considering the stiffness Ezone at 65 and Vcore pro at 60
@@CH-yp5by this is true, but i was just curious because Jonas has always been a Prestige, Head Pro Tour kinda guy, so wouldn’t it make sense that he would prefer the Vcore Pro 97 as opposed to these new Ezones?
The VCore pro is far better than the new Ezone.. if you need more “help” from your racket then demo the new VCore pro 100. The stiff beam and muted feel of the new Ezone is too vanilla unless you’re using a super crisp poly.
@@januarius3361 yeah this is true I agree.
I was really looking for this review, and it definitely helped me choose one.
Thanks!
Qual escolheu?
Congrats for the work, your videos help a lot!
Glad to hear that!
Great video as always!
Can you please clarify which string do you recomend for each racket including tension and gauge.
Thanks!!
Thanks!
Great review. usually play with Exone 100 good
Good info as always
Thanks 👍
I bought an Ezone 98 and the first time I played it i thought it was amazing, stable and powerful and accurate with decent spin, but then every time I played it, it got a bit worse for me...I think it's something about the feedback it gives you, the feel...In the end I went to a Babolat Pure Drive 98 :)
Thanks for your honest review, I am currently playing with Babolat Pure Drive 2021 and hitting one handed backhand. For one handed backhand should I go for Ezone98 or Ezone 100 ?
Im using a 2021 pure drive too! And got a one handed backhand too! Did you change to the ezone 100 or 98?
Thanks Jonas will consider these sound good
Great review, the picture quality comes up great on my 4K tv.
Something like a poly tour pro to counteract the power? or perhaps and rpm rough for added spin?
how do you compare the comfort level of the new Ezone vs the vcore pro line that came out a couple months ago??
What strings and tensions would you recommend for the ezone 98 & ezone 100?
Comparison to the vcore line?
@Tennisnerd, what did you string these with? Which strings?
Do you use a leather grip underneath the overgrip? Or are you using the Yonex excel pro? Was wondering if it makes a difference in feel.
I liked the 2020 version which was quite whippy, but too lightweight on volleys.... thd 2022 version is really beefed up.
would recommend pure drive or ezone for low intermediate player ? thanks
hi, love your videos! Just wondered what your racquet is / your racquet of choice? I'm an intermediate player considering changing from pure drive to Ezone 98, interested to see what you use.
Which is better for easy power on g.strokes and topspin serves ? Vcore pro 100, 300g vs ezone 100 , vs Babolat 16*19 PS ?
Thank you for the very informative comparison. I demoed the new VCore Pro 100 recently. I loved the feel and confidence I had in my swings. I’m hoping to demo the new Ezone 100 in a couple of weeks. How would you compare the new Ezone 100 to the new VCore Pro 100 and describe player-style fit?
did you end up getting the ezone 100?
@@osnowdeal my wife ended up with the ezone 100 and I with the VCore Pro 100. Both are fantastic, but different feel and different power/control balance point.
Hi Jonas. Do you think that thé New ezone 100 is way more controled than the 2020 version ?
How does the ezone 98 compare to the head extreme tour? I’m assuming more power and less spin than the head extreme tour.
i got the same question...i am planning to switch from clash 100 to either extreme tour or ezone 98 for better feel and control
@@curttheboywonder Change your string setup that makes a huge difference.
Have previous ezone 98 tour and head extreme tour. I actually find I get more control and less spin with extreme tour.
Hey Jonas, what was your string setup here and when you felt discomfort with the Ezone 98 Tour?
Can you please summarize your opinions & differences between the 2022 Ezone 100 and the Wilson Ultra 100 v3 which you had reviewed last year? Cheers!
A Question Sir I use The Old Yonex Vcore 95 Flame Red 2018 & was asking about The New 2022 Yonex Ezone 98 (Shapavalov using) Which One is better I use a One handed backHand hoping to hit Pro tour with challenger events starting with commited training after I finish my Software course in December & I hit flat serves which I luv to hit aces should I stick with the Vcore 95 Flame Red or I should transfer to the Yonex Ezone 98 like Shapavalov did 💯🔥
Conclusion: Which of the two is better is better Yonex Vcore 95 Flame Red 2018 or Yonex Ezone 98 (Shapavalov using)
Also Thank You very much for your videos ♥ U r God sent to us Tennis players from Africa who want to try out new racquets but can't afford to test all to figure out WATS best 💯
I recently developed elbow pain with my 2021 vcore 95. I am considering Exone 98 and Head Gravity Pro. Do you think I may have arm problems with the Ezone?
what do you think about the cheaper ezone, Ace, feel and sonic?
Thanks for the review Jonas, how does the ezone 98 compare to the blade?
Ezone 98 Stiffness is 65 The Blade I think is 61 or 60 so there is you big difference. Vcore Pro 97 has a similar stiffness and swing weight to the Blade but has a large sweet spot and feels more like a 98, its a better racket to compare with, but it is 5g heavier
Have you tried the tour version of this racket ? I’m very tempted to get the 98 or the tour version I currently use a pro staff 97 most recent version
I wish the boom pro was 305g instead of 310g
I thought the Head Boom MP was too light and low-powered in its stock form. I'm an aggressive baseliner and thought the '22 Ezone 98 was much more better.
how does the ezones, compare to the regna? are they simular or is 1 better in any sence?
Thank you! A brief Comparison with Pure Drive 2021?
Better comfort and control than the Pure Drive, in my opinion.
Does it play good with harder string like rpm blast or lynx tour? At 23kg..
Hi Jonas, can you comment on Yonex Grip sizes, they say grip size are bigger than equivalent size on other racquets. is this true?
Hey, yeah they run a little bigger
Did someone compare the Blade v8 vs Ezone 100?
Would also love to hear this comparison
Any customization tip for the 2022 Yonex Ezone 98?
Thanks Jonas for the review! But how does it compare to the 2021 VCore 95?
More power and forgiveness. I prefer it
@@Tennisnerd Nice
What about 98 tour?
what is your racket of choice?
Could you compare it with the AI 100? I am looking for more control.
Sir is possible to get a category by category comparison across the major brands in a single video or cheatsheet? Head, Wilson, Babolat, Yonex. I'm looking for a new stick, but given that it's nearly impossible to playtest sticks in India, makes a pick that much harder.
Which do you like the 2020 vs 2022 Ezone 98?
Its arm friendly this raquets?
Ezone 98 2022 is currently €250 since it's new model. 2021 model is €170 wonder if there is a huge difference in the latest model. Im currently on 2019 Ezone 98 model or so.
I saw a video that the ezone 98 provided brutal arm pain. Anyone experience that?
Do the grips still run a little big?
Also, from the still image, it looks like there's very little (almost zero) flair on the butt cap. Is that right?
From playing with the last two ezones (2017/2020):
Yes and yes
yonex 2 feels to me like head 3 tk82s+leather and a bit smaller than 3 wilson.
Also the flat flare helps me grip lower but takes some time getting accustomed to.
Yes, they run like Babolat approximately, not much flare.
is the 100 Casper Ruud's string set-up??
Hi tennisnerd. Could you tell us what's your string setup on both of those rackets?
I tried a few different ones. I enjoy Poly Tour Pro 1.25 in the Ezones. At around 51 lbs for the 98 and 53 lbs for the 100. You can go lower than that of course.
@@Tennisnerd Thanks! I also use the poly tour pro on my dr98 at 47.3lbs
Did you spraypaint them? They look rather unfamiliar
Nice review! And you are hitting the skin off it with that 100! Looks like you went with the Ruud string set up on that one? :)
Which setup would that be?
@@JH-iw5tg poly tour spin in the main, poly tour pro in the cross.

PTP hybrid with strike or spin ?😅
What about esone tour?
How does ezone100 compare to pro staff 100 you bought 3 of...
A bit more power and bigger sweet spot. I feel more confident with the Ezone.
I demoed the new 98 and didnt like it at all. It felt like a loaf of bread. Dead with no feel. I own the previous model and this update seems odd. Less feel but i guess a bit stiffer for more power.
Are these rackets arm friendly?
Yes, I did not notice any issues with comfort, but if you have a history of tennis elbow, it might not be the best option.
I give big spins so i prefer the ezone 100
If you're used to hitting with a 27.5" length, why not just wait several more months for the new Ezone + racquets?
I am so torn between the two. I live in a country where there isn't a huge tennis market so I am unable to demo them. Thanks
Hey Rahul, I would go for the 7th gen. It's much better in my opinion.
@@Tennisnerd thanks. It just arrived today and the strung weight with the inbuilt replacement grip + Wilson perforated overgrip + dampener + poly tour pro 16 gauge @ 52 lbs = 325.6 grams (super happy with this)

i'm considering between head boom mp vs ezone 98. what would be difference ?

Exactly what I was looking for. Can you also compare ezone 100 to clash 100. Right now I’m playing with 2020 ezone 98 and clash 100 and wish I had a racquet in between the 2. I serve well with the ezone, but the clash is easier to defend with. A bit higher launch angle helps too. How is the power and control of the ezone 100 compared to clash
Power comes always from the player not from the racket...

@tennisnerd new Ezone is made in Japan like other racket ; vcore ?
Ok I am not Jonas but I own both and can confirm they are made in Japan
