Pierre Gasly's Formula 1 career has been tumultuous, to say the least. From being dropped by the Red Bull Racing team to winning the Italian Grand Prix, Gasly's career has been through the motions in his three years in the game. #PierreGasly won the 2020 #ItalianGP and then #EstebanOcon did at the 2021 #HungarianGP.
What happened to Anthoine is what I love most about Pierre. I can’t imagine having a friend that not only has the same dreams and aspirations but that you’re both good enough to be able to get to the top level (I personally think Anthoine was an F1 level talent) and then to lose that friend so tragically and that happening at the same time as his Red Bull demotions must’ve absolutely destroyed him to the core
Don't forget hubert asked gasly to prove red bull was wrong after his demotion, and then bounce back with that podium in brazil and a win in monza. This story is one of the best in f1 history.
Wish Hubert was still here to see Gasly's success.

Gasly’s win in Monza is my favourite moment of the year. He deserved it after unfairly getting demoted at Red Bull. He is definitely my driver of the year.
What do you mean unfairly demoted?
He was midfield in a RB he had to go.
@@TJ-rn6ux looking at the fact that albon gets much more time in the red bull, even tough his Results are even worse than gasly's at some points , you can actually speak of an unfair demotion.
The way he is driving at the moment suggests, that he would do better in a red bull this season. Ofc not nearly as good as Max but red bull really should not Expect their 2nd driver to be like that because he is in my eyes a generational talent.

@@364doubleplay the demotion of Gasly was fair given his poor performances in the Red Bull however Albon should never have been put in a Red Bull to begin with.
@@garythefishable well you kind of making my point. Gasly should have been given more time, because there were no real options. But now in 2020 with Perez (and Hulk if you prefer him) available there should be no excuses, Albon needs to get send down to Alpha Tauri and develop there
One big factor you missed, is that at the same race weekend he was demoted from Red Bull he lost his best friend Antoine Hubert in a tragic F2 accident. To bounce back like he has after such personal and professional turmoil, Gasly has proven himself to be an excellent driver and young man.
He didn't miss it, he decided to not include it out of respect.
Not the exact same weekend, Gasly was actually demoted 20 days prior.

I still think that is my favourite moment of the entire season.
Loved it! He deserved than podium soo much!! It was awesome to see him like that. Hope he catches some more podiums in the coming years.

Pierre has had one of the greatest comebacks of any F1 driver. Two podiums in the era of Mercedes in a midfield car is very admirable.

@@ujooju3593 He was the only man on the podium other than Lance who wasn’t from Red Bull, Ferrari or Mercedes from 2015 to the 2019 German Grand Prix. (Lance Stroll got a podium in Baku 17 )
i still love how much Gasly's first win mirrors seb's, in a Toro Rosso at a chaotic Monza against impossible odds, it was amazing
As a Seb fan that made me smile so much when Gasly crossed the line.
It was very different. I watched that race. It was super rainy, and Seb looked like the rain master that day. Then in a Ferrari in Hokenheim years later... that skill went into the wall :(
But that day he got pole on a rainy qualifying day, and then the next day in the rain he kept his pace. He had a McLaren (a top team at the time behind him) behind him and I thought the win was more comfortable

I’m a Leclerc fan massively but I gotta say Pierre for me has been one of the drivers of the year! He’s driven spectacularly well this season! Seriously impressed with him and Danny Ric this year

Sometimes when I want to cry from joy I watch F1 drivers' first wins. Gasly's is one of my favourites because he had so many things happen to him despite how young he is.

Ok, I cried when Josh listed the French drivers who won a Grand Prix onwards.
I remember watching the French commentary of the race, and it was incredible to hear them rattling off all the previous French GP winners.
"... et aujourd'hui, Pierre Gasly!"

It’s Summer 2019. RBR have just announced Pierre Gasly is to be replaced by Alex Albon. Someone walks up to you and says
“I bet you Pierre Gasly will win in Monza next year in the only Italian team due to a Ferrari double-DNF”
How much money do you bet that he’s wrong?
I think Gasly sitting on the podium reflecting his Monday win will go down as one of the most iconic images in Formula 1 history, and rightly so. The way he came back from such devastation in 2019 was incredibly inspirational

In a black year like 2020, Gasly's Monza victory was such an amazing and emotional moment for all the good reasons. It's races like this that we'll remember forever
That race in Monza was soaked with emotions. Seeing Gasly win his first race, his moment if redemption, showing the world what he was capable of was just so awesome to witness. Especially the podium ceremony where he wouldburst into tears made me weep too.

I've watched Gasly's last lap at Monza about 20 times and I still get tears of joy every time I see it.
This my first year as a f1 fan and I'm glad I was able to watch his win. Hopefully he has a long career ahead of him.
Gasly has been impressive this year. Not always finishing high but he is in a midfield car and racing toward the top each week. I think maybe part of it is you can push a midfield car to the limit and do well as where in a top car the limit has a much sharper edge to it. I’d say this is good confidence building for him in the end. Sergio has done very well. He’s very much a bottas to max like bottas is to Hamilton.
One of the best and emotional wins in a long time.
Gasly is my favorite driver. Three years of watching him Drive in F1; his fans have experienced every range of emotion possible. My God, that Italian GP win was one of the best days of my life!

Apparently when Gasly was dropped from Red Bull Antione Hubert who we all know was Gaslys close friend sent him a message “prove them wrong”
For me, Pierre Gasly has been the standout driver of the year. You can tell he's really given this season everything he's got. Onwards and upwards from here.
You're not the only one who thinks that. Let's not forget he's done this after losing Anthoine. Which makes his story all the more remarkable.
Completely agree, he wasn't even one of my favourite drivers and now he has completely grown on me.

What is more impressive? Gasly always qualifies p4 p5 when there are two Merc and two Red Bull on the grid. This guy is just something else, I really hope that he don't end up in a RB again, he seems so happy in the AlphaTauri
