I don't see how Alpine could turn things around, even in 3-4 years. Everything there is rotten, the management and the technical side sucks... Plus, the field became extremely competitive, and every single point counts. From now on Alpine will have to play catch up against Williams, Haas, and the other backmarkers who are not waiting for them, let alone compete with the likes of AM or Mclaren.
HAAS has done well to capitalize on points available so far as well; hopefully they can keep that up this season and start looking at finishing higher up the constructers board.
I see Gasly staying and Ocon moving to Aston Martin if Alonso leaves. Especially if he keeps beating pierre like he has in the first three races in qualy.
Well one thing I do KNOW ,Gasley is now going to have Thee best watch in the paddock with H Moser ,Cie as his sponsor, check out the Streamliner watches,GORGEOUS. that green dial .
I like GasMan, and in my fever dream, Lance retires from F1 and goes to the WEC. Gasly takes the 2nd seat at AM, pairs with Alonso through the 25 season, and stays on to lead the team when 'zo moves to wherever he chooses.
With the sheer amount of talent there is now, in so many junior series, and others that leave F1 or simply are stuck being an eternal backup driver, I can only think this - We really need more championships for open wheel on a World Championship, or semi-WC level (in terms of mix of nationalities, level of the cars, etc.), Like Indycar. These drivers need places to go, that are profitable and large with other talented drivers in various stages of their career, that are not just F2 and super formula (junior series) IK some F1 fans will mock IndyCar, but in all reality it is the closest thing in many respects to F1 itself, when it comes to the cars and the speed (though obviously F2 is a better direct junior series, with the tracks and culture following F1 closely) Seeing older f1 drivers, drivers between seats, or juniors wanting to prove a point (like perhaps lawson may) - it would be amazing to have a couple more open wheel series focused on truly pushing speed and competition, not just advanced karting/neutered cars on the way to F1. Seems like outside f1, you end up just going to GT, the WEC, or Indy, for the most part. After you win in the junior series, you're out of luck for anywhere but F1 to go, really.
Man, there are a lot of racing series where the F2 drivers go to…like Indycar, WEC, IMSA, European Endurance…FormulaE…. Look at who are racing at all those series! You’ll recognize many former F2 and former F1 drivers….
@@Redlingstein you are correct, and I addressed that. I'm saying we need *more*(not that there aren't any) open wheel series on a similar level to indycar that can serve as relative peaks, and championships that are actually consistent, like the ones you mentioned, that I have as well. There are tons of junior series though, and many junior series FOR those alternative championships - for Indy, gt, endurance, etc. so they can't just serve F2 juniors.
No he doesn’t think he is bigger than the team, he wants to beat 19 drivers…. To make his family proud. They gave everything for his career, incl their home, living in a trailer. He wants to make them proud. Watch some interview with him, in DTS. He talks abt his childhood.
I don't understand why Gasly is not in the talk for a Red Bull seat. He definitely has the talent, and is better than both Yuki and Daniel. After Carlos Sainz and Checo, the next choice should be Gasly. Why not? Albon is already contracted for 2025 and does not want to be under the shadow of Max Verstappen. Liam needs more time in Alpha Tauri. In a case where they need a more competitive driver than Checo and Sainz is not available, Gasly should get the Red Bull drive. He was the most loyal Torro Rosso driver ever, and perhaps the most successful at that team too, bringing that car to places where it should never have been. Either he should go for that seat or wait for Andretti to buy Alpine from Renault.
According to rumor, he got into a bit of a shouting match with Newey over setup when he was there. Given how blatantly RB snubbed him after his TR/AT heroics, it seems pretty likely that's why
Alpine should just cooperate with Andretti, and supply them with the motors, while relinquishing the management.Moser watches are amazing, they are technology are up there with the big boys of horology.
I couldn't agree less. Ocon has been doing really well while gasly has been raging in the car and getting poor results. Leaders in F1 are the ones who out perform the other. Ocon has been far more relaxed where as Gasly is a loose cannon
About Ocon, i wouldn't be surprised that he can see things that are reminding him of the two times where he nearly saw collapse his F1 dream, mainly when, after beating Verstappen in F3, he saw the Max go directly in F1 while his own revenue stream was not exactly running dry, but not being good enough to continue this way, and when he was ousted from Force India to give a place to the new boss's son
You should write for TV novela😂 it's funny but i felt the complete opposite, where Gasly seems down in all post race interviews and ocon overly encouraging the team

Alpine at a bit of a dark horse. For several years their engines just haven’t really been up to the challenge. However, the new Alpine WEC car is a beast with more than enough engine power. They could well bring this expertise to the party when the regulations change. Plus, Renault the car company are performing very well in the domestic markets and are selling a lot of cars. They played the domestic route very well, the make 5 SUVs and only one of them is full EV, the others can be petrol, diesel, full hybrid or plug in hybrid. In short, they have got the market covered currently meeting every taste the car buying or fleet buying folk want. Gasly will stay and the obvious other driver is Jack Doohan.
And who would be Bottas in that equation? The reliable 2nd fiddle? Ocon? Nah man he's too close to Russell (who isn't even close to what Hamilton was) and with a very poor attitude, when speaking of being part of a team or designated 2nd driver. Not saying with Gasly would be different, but they either bring in a proper 2nd driver who accepts it (like Bottas) or go for someoen who would be more consistent and a prospect than Russell.
Gaslys situation reminds me of Jensen button pre 2009. Good enough to fight for a championship, but no championship seats available, so he establishes himself as the leader of a midfield works team, and then regulations change, and all that money and investment sends them to the front of the field, and button launches a shock championship challenge. I think gasly is trying to replicate this with alpine, and I think if alpine can deliver the car in 2026, gasly could deliver a shock championship.
Well I disagree, Ocon is very much motivating the team on radio each race, talking to the press very clearly as the team leader….while Gasly is actually not motivating in any way on radio…he is even a bit negative … Gasly’s energy is negative and OCONS energy is clearly positive in interviews in press pen and in Thursdays press conf…

Maybe there is a small tri-couleur Gasly shrine in a side-room the older server staff go to for a quiet prayer during breaks now they're not allowed to smoke... Sorry, this kind of ran away from me here! Note to self: Add a trip to Faenza to the bucket list, ideally while the team is still located there Back on subject, it's a savvy move by Pierre to keep on the grid & who knows, maybe it'll repay him either at Alpine or with another team looking for someone to help them rebuild if the opportunity arises, who knows... Adverse times can really show the value of characters, and Gasly's oddly one of the most experienced out there when it comes to adverse times
What does all this now mean for Gasly with Alpine no longer going to be a works team moving forwards? It should at least mean he’ll have a more reliable power unit.
are teams gonna forget his amazing growth because of 1 season? Nah...both ocon and gasly are race winners are in midfield cars, alpine have no driver issue really both are 4/5
I think the main difference between Ocon and Gasly is that Gasly has accepted he is unlikely to get a seat at a top team unless he goes there as a number 2 driver. Ocon seems to think he is a match for Max and Charles. Both of them are decent drivers capable of getting good results, but highly unlikely either will ever be challenging for the championship unless Alpine/Renault pull off a miracle with the 2026 regulations and put out a dominant car in the same way Brawn did in 2009.
If Gasly had a top car he would be involved in incidents pretty often. Faster than stroll but equally as mistake prone. I don’t think either alpine driver needs to be retained. There are so many younger cheaper drivers that could finish 16th and below…
The whole thing is just a big mess now at Alpine, there are rumors that there are infighting between Enstone and Viry for resources. That's probably why they sold stake in the team to finance the expansion on Enstone side and Renault financing the Viry engine plant. For Gasly, i can't see any future in Alpine in its current state. He has to make a play on the 3 big seats open (Mercedes, Aston & Audi), the red bull seat is practically closed. Rumors of the Saudis buying out Stroll would make Aston a good seat to wait and see how things pans out for 2026 since the team would be flush with cash if Stroll keeps it or the Saudis takeover but i can also see Sainz considering as well.
@@alpd7638 Yeah, but when you've got Alonso and Sainz as free external drivers, and Antonelli and Mick in the wings, as well as Mercedes apparently preferring to avoid team mate conflict I just can't see Toto ignoring everyone mentioned as well as the slight chance the talk about Verstappen comes true and taking Ocon before attempting to get one of the Spaniards.

Has this guy not heard any of Ocon post race team radios and interviews this season or what
Totally agree. Ocon has been very motivating in press conf, press pen, abt the team, and on radio. He truly tries to motivate the team.
Love the videos man, but why the constant Ocon slander?
So want Gasly to do well. He's absolutely dreamy. 3:31
I soo don't get his appeal..to me he is more Sid than Max.
0:49 YAPPPPPINGGGGGGGGGGGG
I don't see how Alpine could turn things around, even in 3-4 years. Everything there is rotten, the management and the technical side sucks... Plus, the field became extremely competitive, and every single point counts. From now on Alpine will have to play catch up against Williams, Haas, and the other backmarkers who are not waiting for them, let alone compete with the likes of AM or Mclaren.
I can see Gasly's point in sticking with a works team...until the works side of the team pulls out, in which Gasly is in deep doo-doo.
HAAS has done well to capitalize on points available so far as well; hopefully they can keep that up this season and start looking at finishing higher up the constructers board.
Drinking game idea: take a shot every time you hear "The likes of ..." on this channel xD

@@bTabard How about Lewis Hamilton's alcohol-free agave ‘spirit’??))
I see Gasly staying and Ocon moving to Aston Martin if Alonso leaves. Especially if he keeps beating pierre like he has in the first three races in qualy.
Sainz to Red Bull, Alonso to Mercedes, ocon to Aston
Your pointed comments were on point
Well one thing I do KNOW ,Gasley is now going to have Thee best watch in the paddock with H Moser ,Cie as his sponsor, check out the Streamliner watches,GORGEOUS. that green dial .
I like GasMan, and in my fever dream, Lance retires from F1 and goes to the WEC. Gasly takes the 2nd seat at AM, pairs with Alonso through the 25 season, and stays on to lead the team when 'zo moves to wherever he chooses.
And if Fernando drives elsewhere in 25, then Yuki joins Pierre at AM. That would make for a very interesting Honda-powered 'factory' team, eh?
@@Thuddsterfamily reunion
Love that stat, the most successful Minardi driver, with the likes of Verstappen, Vettel and Alonso also in that list.
Hot take : LawVS is better than MasakoX.
TRUEEEEE
With the sheer amount of talent there is now, in so many junior series, and others that leave F1 or simply are stuck being an eternal backup driver, I can only think this -
We really need more championships for open wheel on a World Championship, or semi-WC level (in terms of mix of nationalities, level of the cars, etc.), Like Indycar.
These drivers need places to go, that are profitable and large with other talented drivers in various stages of their career, that are not just F2 and super formula (junior series)
IK some F1 fans will mock IndyCar, but in all reality it is the closest thing in many respects to F1 itself, when it comes to the cars and the speed (though obviously F2 is a better direct junior series, with the tracks and culture following F1 closely)
Seeing older f1 drivers, drivers between seats, or juniors wanting to prove a point (like perhaps lawson may) - it would be amazing to have a couple more open wheel series focused on truly pushing speed and competition, not just advanced karting/neutered cars on the way to F1.
My problem with Ocon is his temperament. It feels like at times he thinks he is bigger than the team.
Either he should go for that seat or wait for Andretti to buy Alpine from Renault.
because he crossed Horner &/or Marko
He had his chance.
he have problem with newey when they work together
He burned his bridges
According to rumor, he got into a bit of a shouting match with Newey over setup when he was there. Given how blatantly RB snubbed him after his TR/AT heroics, it seems pretty likely that's why
If you'd be in the shoes of Sainz or Alonso or Verstappen, would you go racing for Mercedes?
Alpine should just cooperate with Andretti, and supply them with the motors, while relinquishing the management.Moser watches are amazing, they are technology are up there with the big boys of horology.
Nope. Not happening.
Agree. And he so wants to make his family proud of him….
@@Redlingstein Sabatogaing team results (Hungary 2022) is a sure way to get yourself booted out. If he was not french he would not be in F1.
Unfortunately, i think he made the Alpine move just a bit too quickly. Completely get why he left Alpha Tauri, just bad luck Alpine have fallen apart.
You should write for TV novela😂 it's funny but i felt the complete opposite, where Gasly seems down in all post race interviews and ocon overly encouraging the team
Entire vid is based out of one out of context quote from Ocon tbh
@@timmynicolas8729 and a quote that makes full sense, ocon is still managed by mercedes and it's no secret, just that people do not care what ocon situation is as long as they can hate on him... what did they expect him to answer ? Lie ?
If there’s any example of how Machinery matters, it’s Bottas. This kid needs a good car. As do all the drivers. We shall see. I hope Pierre doesn’t lose his seat anytime soon.
He could work for LawVS
He’s such a queen
Gasley is seriously underrated.
Ocon going to Mercedes would give George something real to cry about.
I never considered it, but now you put it like this, I actually think there’s a chance he takes the Merc seat.
And yeah, it doesn’t make sense and would be out of nowhere. But that’s F1.
I"d be fine if this was Ocon's last season in F1.
everyone would be 💀
Ocon has no place in F1.
@@Robin_S78He's quick. He's just an arrogant prick. Always bugged me how Alonso helped him get his 1 win, which Ocon never really expressed any gratitude for and then proceeded to treat Alonso like an arch enemy on track while they were still teammates. I get the "you have to beat your teammate" thing, but Ocon took it next level.
@@frankbieserAgree, my comment was a bit short😂
Ocon is fast enough to stay in F1. Monaco last season and Hungary proofed that.
All the best to Pierre
Once again using the phrase “playing the team game” wrong
Peirre is such a beautiful man
Good on Gasly! Moser make some great watches, so there's that.
I love your videos. please keep posting. ❤
Toto wants another Lewis/botas, so Russell/ocon will be it mark my word's.
@@demonbox7780 we'll see.
mercedes will bring bottas back, mark my words @@demonbox7780
Gaslys situation reminds me of Jensen button pre 2009. Good enough to fight for a championship, but no championship seats available, so he establishes himself as the leader of a midfield works team, and then regulations change, and all that money and investment sends them to the front of the field, and button launches a shock championship challenge.
I think gasly is trying to replicate this with alpine, and I think if alpine can deliver the car in 2026, gasly could deliver a shock championship.
Eh
Difference is Button was actually good
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡🤡
If only there were more teams on the grid
Renault was considered to be the best engine supplier pre hybrid are (90's/00's)
Well I disagree, Ocon is very much motivating the team on radio each race, talking to the press very clearly as the team leader….while Gasly is actually not motivating in any way on radio…he is even a bit negative …
Gasly’s energy is negative and OCONS energy is clearly positive in interviews in press pen and in Thursdays press conf…
Pierre just seems like a really cool guy, I’d love alpine to poach yuki to replace ocon
You don’t need to say “the likes of” for everything
... Am I the only one who kind of wants to see the Minardi legacy hall-of-fame you didn't at all infer but I now imagine exists? I'm imagining an old family ristorante with an eclectic collection of very well looked after photos, the sort of seemingly random collection of flags that's seconded only to Olympic or world cup themed bunting... Maybe there is a small tri-couleur Gasly shrine in a side-room the older server staff go to for a quiet prayer during breaks now they're not allowed to smoke... Sorry, this kind of ran away from me here! Note to self: Add a trip to Faenza to the bucket list, ideally while the team is still located there
Back on subject, it's a savvy move by Pierre to keep on the grid & who knows, maybe it'll repay him either at Alpine or with another team looking for someone to help them rebuild if the opportunity arises, who knows... Adverse times can really show the value of characters, and Gasly's oddly one of the most experienced out there when it comes to adverse times
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁💯
What does all this now mean for Gasly with Alpine no longer going to be a works team moving forwards? It should at least mean he’ll have a more reliable power unit.
Ocon to mercedes?
Ocon and Russell together would surely be a bigger clusterf@@k than the W13...
Audio is different on this video than past ones. Less treble was better before.
are teams gonna forget his amazing growth because of 1 season? Nah...both ocon and gasly are race winners are in midfield cars, alpine have no driver issue really both are 4/5

Because Ocon is a sleazy ball. Even not ask Max,Perez and Alonso.
My boi Gasley deserves a chance at that second redbull seat...
I think the main difference between Ocon and Gasly is that Gasly has accepted he is unlikely to get a seat at a top team unless he goes there as a number 2 driver. Ocon seems to think he is a match for Max and Charles. Both of them are decent drivers capable of getting good results, but highly unlikely either will ever be challenging for the championship unless Alpine/Renault pull off a miracle with the 2026 regulations and put out a dominant car in the same way Brawn did in 2009.
ladder... goog point 😁
If Gasly had a top car he would be involved in incidents pretty often. Faster than stroll but equally as mistake prone. I don’t think either alpine driver needs to be retained. There are so many younger cheaper drivers that could finish 16th and below…
wowza
I wouldn't have Ocon in any team.
Doohan will be in the Alpine next season
I feel really sorry for Gasly, Ocon I couldn't care less about
Back to Shire
It's easy to not feel bad for Gasly. Have you seen his girlfriend?
I wonder what happened to the "making it back to Red Bull is the main priority". Sucks for Pierre, but it's self inflicted
And sharing with Albon the "I am better than Perez" dribble.
I just 🍷, 🍿 and ☕ at his self inflicted karma 😒
I think it dissapeared when it became clear that Marko wasn't going to let him in despite winning a race, a few podiums and whatnot...he was stuck.
Honestly if Ocon ends up at Mercedes as a first choice pick, I'll donate some money to charity.
Isn't toto his manager?
@@alpd7638 Yeah, but when you've got Alonso and Sainz as free external drivers, and Antonelli and Mick in the wings, as well as Mercedes apparently preferring to avoid team mate conflict I just can't see Toto ignoring everyone mentioned as well as the slight chance the talk about Verstappen comes true and taking Ocon before attempting to get one of the Spaniards.
Not happening.
Wish he could had stuck it out at RB
Vettel has more chance of that Merc seat than Ocon. Gasly should return to Racing Bulls.
0:24 That's a stretch... Come on now.... how would he achieve that?
Someone needs to tell Pierre There is a thing called a cost cap; you cannot spend whatever you want. Especially in Reno situation where they need to fix and catch up. Also Reno is dysfunctional and continues to produce the worst engine, along with their management not being committed and a mess
Good thing Alonso finally managed to jump the boat before it sinks :D
Where is Mick in all the chaos around the Merc seat? He should be in the prime spot as the reserve driver
My guess is he'll stay in WEC and as a reserve. Like this year.
Toto never gives the reserve driver a shot, not Nyck, not Mick, not Vesti….
1) He's not good enough
2) If the team does not bend over backwards Ralf Schumacher will repeatedly trash the team on German TV, which is bad for the team and sponsors PR
If, IF, Andretti ends up buying out Alpine, it'll be a good prospect for Pierre, atleast better.
Gasly should either leave for Sauber/Audi or stay at alpine assuming they’ll keep paying him the big bucks and build around him
Imagine if Merc took in Gasly over Ocon for 2025-26. From history Merc (and by extension Toto) will never venture into another HAM-ROS situation again, which a RUS-OCO lineup will create.
i cant imagine being a highly competitive driver and being stuck in a complete turd of a car.
I can confirm you're a Ocon hater.

Gasly did have a chance at a race winning car.. at Red Bull and he was shocking. And gasly is losing 3-0 in quali so far to Ocon. People overrated Pierre so much man
