Regarding Chernabog...VERY EARLY in development, Chernabog was meant to be the true villain and evil mastermind of KH1, but Nomura and Disney eventually decided to create an original character as the main villain, aka Ansem. However, they still wanted to incorporate Chernabog into the game, and they even considered having Chernabog be Ansem's final boss form (after he would absorb all of the darkness to become all powerful). But they eventually decided against that too.
If this was actually a discarded idea or plot thread, then it must have been reused for the Shadow Blot in Epic Mickey, since the Blot assumed a Chernabog-like design in the final stages of the game.
This makes SO much sense though. Imagine the Night on Bald Mountain section from Fantasia but with various Heartless designs instead of ghosts, imps, and demons. I mean, Chernabog casting his shadow over the land is what causes the spirits to come forth too like you literally see his hands come down the mountain in a shadow form the same way that the Heartless can meld into shadows in the ground. There's no way anybody could convince me the original idea wasn't to have Chernabog be the boss of the Heartless.
I find it very interesting how much 'water' was clearly the original theme for the space between worlds. The GummiShip was originally a submarine, both apparent Gummi bosses we can see are aquatic (Monstro and Hook's ship), and now I'm wondering what this all means for the Dive to the Heart being connected to water even in the final game. Instead of a void of darkness, and ocean of darkness, with little bubbles of safety where light can flourish...
Sephiroth did NOT first appear in Final Mix. He first appeared in the Localized Version of Kingdom Hearts on the PS2, along with the Ice Titan and Kurt Zisa (Phantom was in the Original Japanese Version of PS2 Kingdom Hearts, and Xemnas was the ONLY Secret Boss that Final Mix Introduced).
Picking Tarzan in kh1 instead of Jungle Book was a good choice because we still have a chance to get Jungle Book. But we will probably never get Tarzan again due to rights issues. The Walt Disney statue may have been planned to be in the place that the Lady and the Tramp statue is. As for the Western World maybe it was the Apple Dumpling Gang lol idk.
1:14:01 The Japanese subtitles for the lines “Come on, guys! We’ve got to save Sora” and “Please, Sora… Don’t go” are a little clearer than their English translations. The first one is 「みんな!ソラを消しちゃダメだ!」and more literally translates to, “Everyone! We can’t let (them) erase/extinguish Sora!” The verb is specifically transitive, which implies someone acting upon Sora. The manner of speech befits Goofy or Donald. The other line「お願い… 消えないで。」 translates more literally as “Please… don’t disappear.” I think you’re exactly right about this being a line from Kairi. I’m guessing it’s meant to be from the scene where he unlocks his heart.
Not gonna lie, those "Disney-fied" pieces of Sora, Riku, and Kairi are actually REALLY good. Shows how solid the designs of the main trio are if they can look good in 2 entirely different art styles.
I did always like that Donald and Goofy were in their casual outfits at the end, it made it feel like the quest really was over for now, because why else would they change? But embarrassingly, I never noticed how their Disney Castle outfits were different from their main game outfits... Can't say why, but I just never realized until you pointed it out.
@@honella7146 Not at all, randomly angry commenter friend. It's that our guy ShadyRiku is so freaking talented, I used to drool for any different video from him! And ta daa! A great video!
The Disney's Atlantis world would have served a purpose in the KH lore by showing comparison between the Heart of Atlantis and Kingdom Hearts, two sources of light which potentially could destroy the world if fallen as weapons to the wrong hands. Plus, there would have been a possibility that Leonard Nimoy (Master Xehanort's original voice actor) would have voiced King Kashekim Nedakh of Atlantis once again. There was also a rumor of Gargoyles-themed world that would have appeared in Kingdom Hearts 1 as well, as I had once checked in the wiki of deleted content of KH. This was mostly a hint of from a Gargoyles' con panel, where they revealed the possibility of a world within the KH universe.
1:07:00 I did my own investigation, and I think the knucklehead that originally discovered this "unused" song actually made a mistake while doing some data mining. The specific track used for combat in Wonderland is called "BGM 118", and the corresponding instruments it uses for the track is referred to as "WD 118" in the files. Upon taking BGM 118 and applying the instruments used for Deep Jungle's non-combat music, referred to as "WD 101" in the files, it makes the song sound _exactly_ as it was demonstrated here in the video. I also explored the other tracks in the game's files and didn't find any other collection that produced said music. I can't say for sure what might have happened, and I don't say this as an insult, but I think whoever claimed that was an unused song either wrongly configured their playback software and thought they uncovered cut content, or they wrongly reported this "discovery" in bad faith just to see if their false report would go unnoticed.
Interestingly enough the sentient slabs in Monstro at 32:30 make an appearance in Re: Chain of Memories' version of Monstro, and it does attack Sora. Killing it will grant HP orbs.
31:00 there's only a scene with young Sora and young Riku who enter the cave as sort of test of courage that only Riku sees the Keyhole, as well as the player I guess through Riku's eyes, I always thought of it as Sora not being ready yet, but Riku was already ready.
Cut and unused content is always an interesting topic to cover when it comes to games, and it's always nice to see vids like this that show off all of them in one place. great work man.
Kingdom Hearts 1 in particular is fascinating because it established a baseline that the series has generally followed up until now. Early concepts for first entries in long-running franchises are so fascinating because it really gives perspective on how substantially things can change and how what we're familiar with could have easily been something else entirely. For example, did you know that the early character design for Yoda was essentially a space garden gnome? Flesh-colored skin, pointy hat and ears and a big white beard. His pointy ears of his finalized design are a reference to his unused gnome appearance.
Sora's Mother is a weird topic that can't really be discussed purely based on in-game lore. By this point, Sora's grown up even if time stops at Destiny Islands but he also never thinks about his family. This is kinda problematic for Disney. They have two options in the future: reveal Sora's memory was altered to forget his Mom or reveal that he never actually had a Mom. They won't make Sora realise he abandoned his family and completely forgot when he got swept up in adventure - it might hit a little too close to home for some fans.
Actually, I think that in the unlikely event the devs have to explain the current status of Sora's mom, they'll probably just do some handwave explanation and be all like "Oh yeah so King Mickey went and explained everything to Sora's mom and so she's aware of it all and is happily cheering him on back home" or whatever. It doesn't particularily seem like a topic they want to get into, which is honestly fine by me.
@@MastaGambit, my theory is that maleficent is secretly, Sora's mom, since I find it weird that maleficent, being a powerful witch and fairy, gets defeated by sora, an inexperienced key blade swordsman, in Kingdom Hearts 1 and that maleficent suddenly out of nowhere saves sora from being killed twice in kingdom hearts 2, the first time being weird that maleficent saves sora. Not to mention that riku ends up at hollow bastion where maleficent is after sora gets the key blade in kingdom hearts 1. Tell me that last point isn't a coincidence. I believe that maleficent never wanted to kill sora in the first place and that sora was meant to be sent to hollow bastion instead of riku when destiny islands fell to darkness. Also, this would explain why sora's mother never worried about Sora, and why riku and kairi never seemed to get in trouble for going to dangerous places a lot. Maleficent could say that Sora's friends were at her house having a slumber party. And Sora not being a normal human magic user might explain why Ansem remarked that sora is super special. Also, maleficent being Sora's mom and temporarily sent back in time could explain why nothing abnormal happened between Sora's mom and sora while sora was sleeping for a year.
@@MastaGambit also, maleficent could probably make herself not like what she looks like in the kingdom hearts games (for example, she could make herself look like a ordinary woman and blend in with other people.). This power would make sora and his friends unable to know if maleficent is around them or not, allow maleficent to watch sora and Sora's friends, and not be bothered by sora in any way. Maleficent is a powerful witch so it may very well be possible that maleficent can make herself and her staff different. This possibly provides further proof that maleficent might be Sora's mom due to the possibilities of what maleficent uses the ability to change her appearance for.
@@RoxasKnight you can use that logic for any video game boss. How can Sora, an inexperienced key blade swordsman, beat any of the bosses especially Ansem at the end? Because he has to and it's a video game. the rest of your theory isn't that logical and exists just to prove your initial statement. I doubt Disney would allow a disney character to be the mother of a non disney character
@@MastaGambit I agree with you. I think it's because of this series being KH and the plot gets kinda convoluted and crazy but this is the most simple explanation for a kid's game. No one's family is talked about because it doesn't matter and won't impact the story at all. People really try to inject some deep meaning for everything.
I would suggest you do not take that Ariel comment too seriously. IMDB, like Wikipedia, can be edited by anyone. Remember, this was the same site that used to put fake voice actors for character on KH3's page back in 2013-15. Since dedicated fan sites/wikis have covered and translated these materials from Ultimania and this is not stated anywhere but IMDB, you should not use it in future videos imo. Point is, never trust IMDB. Please don't take this as me criticizing your content entirely, this video is really really good. I just wanted to take the time to tell you for any future videos like this.
@alwaysabiggafish3305 IMDB doesn't really. You can go to lots of movie pages and just find tons of incorrect info or just straight-up trash memes in a description lmao. Trust me on this. I'm pretty sure this is another case of Dark Thorn being based on Ifrit from FFX with a fake Nomura quote. It's easy for false info to go around, especially if it's from the early 2000s internet.
13:54 One person already commented about this, but I think it needs a bit more clarification. Sephiroth was introduced in the localized versions of KH1 (such as North America and Europe). However, the keybalde you get for beating him, One Winged Angel, and the cutscene with Cloud and Sephiroth meeting were only in the Final Mix version. Obviously, you were quoting a Nomura here, but he either misremembered this or was talking from the perspective of Japanese audiences.
Great video! I do think its weird that you point out some things that where scrapped in KH1 but used later in KH2, but then fail to mention something like how they did make toy story a fully explorable world in KH3 & then discuss how they changed the icon/ name but it still being primarily in a arcade setting (being at the mall)
Great Video!! Whenever I think I've finally learned everything there is to know about this game, something new keeps coming to light! This game is just a gift that keeps giving 😍😍
Man gutted that Kairi was planned to have way more personality initially, I did always think she had a bit more sass or personality in 1 and then subsequently became very mellowed out and maybe the way more animated intentions for the trio in the early drafts survived a little bit for her
It drives me insane that she's still just "girl" and they haven't done a thing with her. Even when she's the main character in Melody of Memory she's used as a tool to search her memory for leads on where Sora disappeared to, and when they get a lock on his location she's like "I wanna go help!" and the fuckin Fairy Godmother of all characters is like "no stay here and keep training" I'd rather her have been ACTUALLY killed off in KH3 than continually being sidelined for no goddamn reason
I found it really hilarious how in the lost test animation for a Kingdom Hearts animated show from 2003, Kairi straight up just KARATE KICKS a heartless with her bare feet. KH1 Kairi was just built different
Thank you Shady! Thanks to you I could finally, FINALLY achieve KH1 Platinum on PS5. Your synthesis helped me to craft ultima, your abilities guide helped me which beggining weapon is the best to begin with, and your newest clock tower helped me to beat proud mode on less than 15 hours( I beat with 11) because of the defense and ap up item. I am very grateful to you.
I'm reasonably sure based on some KH 1.5 research, that theres a flag in the Olympus coliseum with a cut "enemy" type, and a cut lantern. The enemy is a mine, the lantern is a wooden lantern. both textures look PS2-riffic, even on ps3. The only reason I call the mine an enemy type is because it does do 1 damage. not sure if that helps at all though. Thanks for posting the video :)
In the game files for Traverse Town, there is also some unused text about a race in the 2nd District that involved the Postcard system as well (similar to the race against Riku in Destiny Islands)
really love kingdom hearts concept art.(especially the ones showing sora, donald, goofy interacting with the disney heroes & those comical expressions of the destiny trio the manga/shelved cartoon really feels like a respect to in hindsight. :3) with the "boss of the heartless" i do remember hearing chernabog was going to be the origin of the darkness/disney villains in the series likely as the true final boss after maleficent & possibly ansem's(maybe him trying to control it only for chernabog to squash him/mickey's disney light striking him like the church bell's in the original.) defeat.(would love this concept brought back making the spring sprite & firebird the focal point of light/darkness with how fantasia 2000 was going to be in ddd) wish the disney heroes plotline had gotten used as for some like aladdin would've been nice seeing them reunite/remember fan works that'd have the summons support sora & think 3 should've had a moment like this in it's finale. think the series alongside bringing back the characters more should have final fantasy summons maybe having you fight them to get them like earlier ff.(could've had in the behemoth's reappearance in end of the world spot.)
Insane video man wth. I recently started to play the KH series and finished KH1 and the Ariel part was driving me nuts because it didn't make sense so i'm glad I learned there were a technical reason to that, along with other very interesting things. Cool to see i'm not the only one worrying about Sora's mother either lol
6:43 At least in the US, that artbook case was a pre-order only item. 1.5 came out in a standard PS3 case here and also eventually got a Greatest Hits release. There was also a special edition of 2.5 on PS3 that came with 1.5 and the version of 1.5 in that edition had a different disc art that more closely matched the disc art of 2.5.
Kingdom Hearts 1 is such a fascinating game, it's filled with secrets, Easter eggs and more than an hour-worth discussion about cut content. I wish the other games in this series paid more attention to details like this
Thank you so much for doing this! May you also please do this for all of the other kingdom hearts games as well? :-) Would be truly gratefully appreciated! :-)
The Wild West world might have just been practice/concept art to work on how they'd draw icons for worlds, rather than something planned or based on anything.
I have not known anything about you or your videos prior to this one, but I will say this video seems to be popping off in the algorithm. Been recommended this particular video several times, and I just keep seeing the views increasing every time I check back. Commenting to hopefully boost this further :)
Knowing what I knew about KH when I played it, which I admit was just a bit more than the typical kid at the time, I agree with you re: Oblivion. Finding Oblivion there felt like finding a secret, I wanted to ask "Did they know they left this great keyblade here?". And given it happens right after the RikuAnsem fight, you have to remember that for everyone playing for the first time, Hollow Bastion was where shit got real. Kid gloves were off. So that entire world is very vivid for most, it was emphasized heavily in our playthroughs, so finding Oblivion there naturally created a subconscious link to Riku. So yeah, I'm sure they left it there in reference to it being a parallel to Oathkeeper being analogous to Kairi
On the topic of field maps; the guide lists the Dimensional Maps as the parts you traverse in a ship. while the Field Maps, the ones with minibosses and enemies and minigames and such, those seem to be the normal levels
I think the dont go line fits well with kairi at the end of kh 3. In kh 1 it would have fit earlier too or when Sora turns into a heartless as it shows how afraid she is of change. In kh 3 it would be more about him dieing
Donald & Goofy (8:58) I always thought that the ourfits at the end fo KH1 are their casual clothing. The clothes at the castle are their duty clothes and the original KH zipper clothes are their travel clothes.
If this video is telling the truth about the end cutscene, then it's surreal to think that Square Enix essentially worked backwards, if the cutscene was made before their Nomura outfits were finalized.
Yo such an entertaining video I loved it! Just wanted to say I think you should make a short on this topic, I found a glitch in Prankster's Paradise in KH3D as Riku where theres a specific wall in the last chamber (I think) where you use a dash attack like Sliding Dash or Fire Dash, and you'll legit clip through the wall and fall into the floor but dw you can legit walk back in bounds and you'll be fiiine I really want this glitch to become more well known in the community, I found it in 2014 on the 3DS and I@ve never seen anyone talk about it ! The glitch is still in the 2.8 Remaster too lmaoo
28:57 if you look closely to the upper floor,it seems like this area was loocated below the boss battle happening 28:18. Maybe a second stage battle would have occured after the floor "crumbling" down? I don't know, anyway, you put a lot of effort by doing this compilation. You're really amazing :P
Wait a minute, so Kairi could've potentially had a more expressive personality than what she ended up being and they just didn't do it? That's why she feels like a nothing character in the final version of the game?! Good grief Square-Enix. Lmao
18:42 Some ideas. It very well could have been for a world based on an unproduced version of Home on the Range called Sweatin' Bullets, about Cattle Rustling Ghosts, Or maybe based on Melody Time / Make Mine Music segment called: Pecos Bill? Long shot but maybe Davy Crockett? Happy to hear what you think.
Davy Crockett actually seems like the most likely of all these. I don't think Square would be foolish enough to try to work with the Home on the Range team to try to synergize the KH world with the in-development movie, especially since they were merging with Enix at the time and working with Disney proper, so they already had enough outside influence to deal with. Davy Crockett on the other hand was well-established and EXTREMELY popular during the mid 20th century, it would have been much easier to plan and implement. My guess is that it was cut early on because Davy Crockett's popularity was pretty short-lived and was quickly overshadowed by Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, and the Disney Renaissance movies much later in the 90s. So it would be like putting in a Mary Poppins world.
To our Surprise unused version is my favorite, seconded by the original with trumpet. Also "Come on guys we gotta go save Sora" also sounds like something Riku would say before being influenced by Ansem or after rejecting Ansem and Sora possibly being in his shadow form or captured by ansem as well similar to KH DDD. that's my little head cannon at least.
Gonna throw my two cents in for that wild west world: Around the time of Kingdom Heart's release, the original concept for home on the range called "Sweating Bullets" was heavily in development. It had a production date of around 1995-2001 iirc? The project was grittier with a timid cowboy and his young cow companion fighting undead cattle rustlers. So it matches the softer cow pasture underside of the world sketches as well as the more boney-themed saloon up top. So my bet is that Sweating Bullets was the concept for the wild west world, not Frontierland or Home on the Range.
46:12 while it's highly likely that chernabog was going to be fought at hollow bastion it's possible too that he was meant to be fought at Disney Castle. Many people came to this conclusion due the the concept art depicting sora's original animalistic design instead of his final which as we've seen before was shown many times in the design doc. But if timeline of the game's development surficed I'd say it's likely the hollow keep where this would take place. There's no proof about either being where this battle was going to take place but would be interesting if the latter was confirmed
Funny how the unused version of "To Our Surprise" sounded kind of trippy and psychedelic, considering Alice and Wonderland really appealed to stoner culture when rereleased in the 70s. Kind of makes me think the smoking caterpillar was meant for the game, and this variant of music played during the segment.
59:12 that blobby monster really looks like the Bubble Elephants that show up in the dumbo movie! Don't know if it's it, but it's REALLY REALLY similar and could be with dumbo showing up in the game
In the future are you planning on doing a 100% playthrough of kingdom hearts 1 final Mix or the entire series since they are releasing them all on Steam soon? Bc I would totally watch your playthroughs if you ever do?
The King of Hearts might’ve been removed because there’s already a “King of Hearts” in the game. We’ve all seen the game art with Sora on a throne and with a crown and stuff, so if these two characters met, it would’ve been an awkward moment
Wassup there with another banger such a great way of expanding your kh content but why you don’t try to add kh 2.5 guide as its much better or nearly as good as 1.5?
Regarding the western world I don’t think it was intended to be a Disney world at all, from the oldest posting I can find with this image (Disney Insider through Wayback Machine in 2012) there are a few other designs and another world which do not seem to match other in game world concepts. I think it was meant so show how a world could look and was before they established making worlds based on a game or specific theme, to that end it could have been Wild West or even like Davey Crockett themed, but I think the point of this was more to show how the worlds could appear from space and be themed than to be a specific one at that point.
That scrapped line you brought up from Riku where Sora then goes on to attack him feels very odd, doesn't it? I wonder if he was supposed to already have been possessed at this time?
I liked this video! though i don't think concept art and things like that count as "DELETED CONTENT". We all know what deleted content really means, and concepts are not "deleted content"
The keyhole on the destiny island door was visible to riku in the one cutscene where sora and him are walking out of the room and riku turns around to stare at the door. I forget if this was a final mix cutscene or not but its cool because it shows that riku really was the chosen one for the keyblade before he fell to darkness and sora accidently got it
I actually really like the idea of Sora and the other princes of their worlds saving their princesses. Like maybe Sora and co. have to assist each prince with a task to save the respective princess.
Regarding the wild west world, there's a slim chance this could of been a Home on the range movie world, despite not coming out until 2004, the general story was being worked on in 2000 and theres a VERY slim possibility nomura and other members of square had inside knowledge about the project from Disney and since at that point they were already having ideas about lion king in kh1, i dont think its ENTIRELY far fetched to see nomura attempt a cow themed design for sora to fit into the plot. That being said, i still heavily believe that it's entirely more accurate to have the wild west world just be a woody themed toy story world instead. Since nomura has a fond place for toy story
I can't remember for sure, but I kind of remember hearing about problems involving copyright or something with the tarzan one, so if that is true the jungle book would have been a better choice, however it was very unlikely for them to predict that.
For enemies dinosaur skeleton, it could have been a from the pride lands that ended up excluding, but brought back that same heartless for KH2 pride lands. For Halloween town guillotine, they did end up making their idea of making it move in KH2

I can't say for sure what might have happened, and I don't say this as an insult, but I think whoever claimed that was an unused song either wrongly configured their playback software and thought they uncovered cut content, or they wrongly reported this "discovery" in bad faith just to see if their false report would go unnoticed.
bro if what you said is true this comment needs more attention!
Sounds a bit like the removed Deep Jungle music that was planned for Chain of Memories
I thought it sounded incorrect!
Interestingly enough the sentient slabs in Monstro at 32:30 make an appearance in Re: Chain of Memories' version of Monstro, and it does attack Sora. Killing it will grant HP orbs.
They are also in bbs
What people forget is IMDB and Wikipedia quickly clean up edited content without sources. It doesn't seem unlikely.
Thank you for the uploads sir!!! One of the dopest KH channels out there!!
Man gutted that Kairi was planned to have way more personality initially, I did always think she had a bit more sass or personality in 1 and then subsequently became very mellowed out and maybe the way more animated intentions for the trio in the early drafts survived a little bit for her
Exaggerated animations doesn't tell me more personality.
@@alwaysabiggafish3305 but it help noneless
It drives me insane that she's still just "girl" and they haven't done a thing with her. Even when she's the main character in Melody of Memory she's used as a tool to search her memory for leads on where Sora disappeared to, and when they get a lock on his location she's like "I wanna go help!" and the fuckin Fairy Godmother of all characters is like "no stay here and keep training"
I'd rather her have been ACTUALLY killed off in KH3 than continually being sidelined for no goddamn reason
I found it really hilarious how in the lost test animation for a Kingdom Hearts animated show from 2003, Kairi straight up just KARATE KICKS a heartless with her bare feet.
KH1 Kairi was just built different
Good thing the manga exists a lot of characters lacking in personality like Kairi and Xion get it in spades
Awesome brother, awaiting this one for a while and it didn’t disappoint! Great work👍
Underrated bit but including where you got your sources made this an enjoyable watch
Wow, I thought I knew it all, but I actually learned quite a bit here!
Thank you my friend, glad you enjoyed 😎
The keyhole on the door was removed becaus only Riku was suposed to see it.
This just donned on me: What if Sora's discarded clothes on the floor of his bedroom are a reference to his prototype design
@@MastaGambit 🤯
I have been eagerly awaiting your next video. we'll done 😊
Thanks :)
Before i even watch the video, putting the sources at the beginning of the video is a great format
with the "boss of the heartless" i do remember hearing chernabog was going to be the origin of the darkness/disney villains in the series likely as the true final boss after maleficent & possibly ansem's(maybe him trying to control it only for chernabog to squash him/mickey's disney light striking him like the church bell's in the original.) defeat.(would love this concept brought back making the spring sprite & firebird the focal point of light/darkness with how fantasia 2000 was going to be in ddd)
wish the disney heroes plotline had gotten used as for some like aladdin would've been nice seeing them reunite/remember fan works that'd have the summons support sora & think 3 should've had a moment like this in it's finale.
think the series alongside bringing back the characters more should have final fantasy summons maybe having you fight them to get them like earlier ff.(could've had in the behemoth's reappearance in end of the world spot.)
Maybe your best video uet. Keep up the great KH1 content!
Mega effort by ShadyRiku! Amazing video thank you so much for the hard work that went into this
Your very welcome :)
I wish the other games in this series paid more attention to details like this
You're a true beast to the KH community ❤
27:00 Those designs for the princess "coffins" are sick NGL.
Thank you so much for doing this! May you also please do this for all of the other kingdom hearts games as well? :-) Would be truly gratefully appreciated! :-)
Home on the range was in development hell for a long time. Disney probably had like 1/3 of the movie done to show the KH team.
hope Atlantis and Treasure Planet get put in a Kingdom Hearts game some day
Technically, Treasure Planet got into 3
@@Dommbuscuswhat
32:38 These things appeared in Kingdom Hearts Re:CoM, right? I remember they would drop orbs if you hit them, maybe cards, too
they also appear in the monstro fight in BBS and can attack you
Hope this video blows up bro! Great info
The Wild West world might have just been practice/concept art to work on how they'd draw icons for worlds, rather than something planned or based on anything.
Omfg this is amazing!! 🎉
The early darkside to me looks like it could’ve had roots from the pink elephants from Dumbo
To our suprise unused sounds very old final fantasy.
I have not known anything about you or your videos prior to this one, but I will say this video seems to be popping off in the algorithm.
Been recommended this particular video several times, and I just keep seeing the views increasing every time I check back.
Commenting to hopefully boost this further :)
Can we just appreciate how gorgeous this concept art is my gods 29:27
Those disney like concept designs are so fucking cool, so much character and personality. i love them
As a fan of behind the scenes stuff and Kingdom Hearts, I will be watching this later 🙏
Actually some of the Ultimanias /have/ been translated and printed in English. I think they still sell them on Amazon.
Yo such an entertaining video I loved it!
Just wanted to say I think you should make a short on this topic, I found a glitch in Prankster's Paradise in KH3D as Riku where theres a specific wall in the last chamber (I think) where you use a dash attack like Sliding Dash or Fire Dash, and you'll legit clip through the wall and fall into the floor but dw you can legit walk back in bounds and you'll be fiiine
I really want this glitch to become more well known in the community, I found it in 2014 on the 3DS and I@ve never seen anyone talk about it ! The glitch is still in the 2.8 Remaster too lmaoo
If you could knock enemies into each other, that would make the Olympus training mini games actually make sense.
Alternate version happy and laughing Riku...we truly were robbed. How dare you, Mr. Sakamoto. Dark Nomura...give us goofy Riku...
They should use jungle book for future games since they can't use Tarzan anymore
I love the alternates and merging of to our surprise!
Lmao
What a shame!
IIRC, the "bacteria thing" that would've been in monstro returns in BbS's Mirage Arena Monstro fight.
The “To Our Surprise unused version” is actually fake. The person who went in the games files configured it wrong.
@@doggoadexx2680I figured as much. I heard it and immediately said to myself, "No wonder it was cut, this sounds terrible."
Sad that Kairi's personality was left on the cutting room floor.
We actually see those weird bacteria things from Monstro in ReCoM
32:30 these bacteria monsters are there in the final mix right? just not that room
1:80:20 honestly both versions of to our surprise sound very good with the trumpet. good job
Video starts at 5:42
You didn't properly format the timestamps in the description. If you fix this, they will display on the video. Great work! 👍
Ah thanks how do I fix this?
@@ShadyRiku of course! You need to put the time before the title of the section. For example:
0:00 Beginning
1:50 Part I
5:23 Part II
8:32 Part III
It's just deep jungle field instruments
59:12 that blobby monster really looks like the Bubble Elephants that show up in the dumbo movie! Don't know if it's it, but it's REALLY REALLY similar and could be with dumbo showing up in the game
Great video, keep it up!
What time does he talk about it.
I could see Atlantis and treasure planet coming to Kingdom hearts 4
I wish they kept Kairi's motherly traits and her smacking a heartless. She could have had personality...
I was told Chernibog was the final boss of the game .
Keep up these amazing videos
Wassup there with another banger such a great way of expanding your kh content but why you don’t try to add kh 2.5 guide as its much better or nearly as good as 1.5?
Don’t worry I will eventually ;)
Pretty cool. I alwqys imagine i know most there is to know about KH1 and 2 but you found alot of info im surprised I was available and not more known.
Is there going to be a Kingdom Hearts 2 cut content video?
I will always be pissed that Bahamut wasn't a summon in KH1
The keyhole on the destiny island door was visible to riku in the one cutscene where sora and him are walking out of the room and riku turns around to stare at the door. I forget if this was a final mix cutscene or not but its cool because it shows that riku really was the chosen one for the keyblade before he fell to darkness and sora accidently got it
I think it was Final Mix. Their cutscenes are muted in the English version because they used the original Japanese dubbing.
48:04 My initial reaction to this part:
Excuse me?????
"Or what you guys call erasers"
...oh
😂😂
For Halloween town guillotine, they did end up making their idea of making it move in KH2
i wish the developers could have just had time to make the game they wanted to make. the inclusion of a parasite eve character would have been so cool
32:45 I know these things would later appear in re Chain of memories, interesting this was a kingdom hearts 1 concept
