React To Bris Need Hammy
RED ROCKS 2017..PEACE
Wretch 32 daily duppy please
So why haven't you guys reacted to anything off the new album yet? ......Hold On, for instance, ahem ahem!!! Get ready for one of the best tracks on the album. I was blown away. Just sayin'!!!!
The entire Elephant Sausage album is phenomenal.
jfc I died reading this
Lmaoo cracked me
You got me with this one lol
But yes, this album, front to back is absolute fire.
SUS
And of course, if you want another "soft" Gojira song, you guys have to try "Low Lands".
I think a better recommendation is Global Warming
The Trails or The Chant off their last album are pretty good too
An unconventional Gojira song i love is "A Sight to Behold", passionate music and lyrics
That outro is amazing !
“Soft”. Gotta love the metal purists! 😂
This whole album is just unreal...
One of their most under appreciated. Especially when it came out. Such a cohesive album, start to finish. It’s a vibe.
It's not only my favorite gojira album but might be my favorite metal album. It's definitely in the running. It's a masterpiece.
Their last good album from start to finish
i just listened to it start to finish and i figured its real
The three album run of Mars to Flesh to this is one of the best album runs in music history
I’m suffering from severe tinnitus and some hearing loss today because I refused to wear earplugs for 30 years of concert going and days in my band. Loud environments are extremely uncomfortable bordering on painful and I struggle at concerts today even with earplugs. PSA: WEAR YOUR EARPLUGS OR YOU’LL REGRET IT LATER.
perfect example of "toxic masculinity" (hate the phrase but its the best word for it i know)
@@MrKevlarkent Wait. What? I tried to give my honest example of how when I was young I didn’t think exposure 100+ db routinely would damage my hearing as an attempt it might convince some younger person to not do the same thing…..and that’s “toxic masculinity”. Seriously? Either I don’t understand what toxic masculinity is or you don’t. I’m going to go with the latter. 🤦🏼♂️😳🙄
Red Rocks Amphitheater is the Colorado outside venue they were referring to. There's a YT vid with a Gojira performance there, it's ridiculously good.
Top 5 concert of all time imo number 1 but I understand why it wouldn’t be for others
Red Rocks is amazing. It was the live show at Red Rocks that got me into Gojira to begin with.
I didn't get to see Gojira there unfortunately, but that venue is incredible
That was the best show I've ever attended. Gojira was incredible. Opeth was incredible.
@@eniph2953 Devin Townsend Project, then Gojira, then Opeth...in Red Rocks. Been going to shows for 30 years and this one definitely stands out.
This is my favorite song of all time. I get chills every single time I hear it, without fail. The pure artistic expression of musicianship married perfectly with lyrics that have an intense message, with point and purpose, all wrapped up with a neat little bow by some of the best to ever do it. Hands down, my Best Song Ever.
U❤😢😢😂😂
I always love George’s one liners like at 4:00 after Ryan gets done explaining something so meticulously 😂
Here is the earplugs debate in a nutshell: You can hear it perfectly (without earplugs) once, and then maybe never hear anything right again. A lot of us back in the 70's and 80's decided to take that bet. It took me literally a month to recover from a Metallica concert in Dallas in 1993.
I wish I wore earplugs. My ears ring 24/7 now...
Black Keys, Granada Dallas Texas as a 2 piece 😵💫🥴🥹

@@jasonbennett2383 I haven't heard actual silence in 35+ years..... if I'd known then....
I stood next to a speaker at a local show for one song when I was 16 and I still have ringing in my right ear :/
Yeah ! Gojira is beyond ' metal ', they are channeling the earths soul energy , this song often makes me weep ...Thanks guys !
Gojira is the best saw them the first time in Toledo, OH with lamb of god I think In 2007. I was a long term fan after that. Their style and sound is so unique. I can’t go a week without listening to them. 15 years since and a fan till I die. They’re always been on their own plane sound wise, I’m glad you guys covered this. A testament to your wide range of taste and a love for music in general.
That tour was fantastic. Saw the stop at Cain’s Ballroom. Machine Head killed it that night.
I live in toledo What venue?
Been listening to Gojira since COVID, I could say they’re easily in my top 3 favorite bands now. Great musicians
what are the other 2?
Seeing you guys react to this band takes me back to when I was in my early twenties when I first heard them. I had the same "blown away" feeling. It's so satisfying getting to almost rediscover this band vicariously through you two. Gojira forever ♥️
Yes... this band has surpassed all others... they are in the same category, to me , as Pink Floyd, Rush... bands that just seemed as if the planets and stars aligned so they could be forged! 🎩 🪄 🔮
i have been a metalhead for 30+ years and i have to say Gojira is my alltime favorite.. Their content, the technicality, the energy, the writing, the talent...they are the face of metal
"Surpassed all others"? When did Metalheads become so frugal?
@@user-bf6gz8ej4o What? Pink Floyd or Rush aren't metal bands. Please.
@@Raaxshas I share the same viewpoint, I hope gojira really takes off in popularity, they deserve the recognition
I’ve been watching this channel since 5k subs, and your growth in appreciation of Metal music is my favorite aspect in watching.
As for the ear plug discussion, I’ve always worn because it really helps knock down the very high pitched ear piercing sound and I get a better listening experience.
Glad you guys released this, its my fav Gojira song. Great vid.
I'm so glad you guys released this! It's my favorite by Gojira...SO next level!
The venue in Colorado is Red Rocks Amphitheater. I saw Megadeth there back in the 90s. Breathtaking vistas and OUTSTANDING sound quality without being deafening. \,,/
It's an excellent venue for sure!
Earplugs are for avoiding permanent hearing loss only. If the sound is loud enough to cause you physical pain in your ears, wear the earplugs. No matter how much it affects the quality of sound at a concert, that's only a temporary experience whereas tinnitus is forever.
This song inspired me to become a ninja. I was actually hiding behind Ryan and George throughout the entire video.
You need to train harder because I saw you like 7 times
Your guy's Gojira reactions are the best. Seriously. I still remember when you did Heaviest Matter of the Universe. You both lost your shit around 3:35 in the intro when they go into that transition.
You guys are killing it! I really enjoy the fact that your language and terminology has expanded the further you've expanded your knowledge of various genres and sub-genres.
I owe Lost in Vegas a debt of gratitude, Ive been a viewer since almost the beginning, and I had heard of Gojira but never listened to them. Then Yall did a reaction video on them and they instantly turned into one of my favorite bands. Thank You Lost in Vegas!
Yes. My all time favorite Gojira song. I used to walk around at dusk on the wooded trail by my house and have this playing.. it's perfect for that calm erie feeling. I played it just yesterday morning on my foggy drive to work. It just is so fitting for that mood.
Finally you went to a show!!!! 😄🎶🤘 I was at the Red Rocks Show 5 years ago. It was amazing. 💓
I love that you guys did this song....my favorite...I been rocking with yall since day one🤘
😮 how did I miss this on Patreon?! This is one of my favorite Gojira songs
RIP Trevor Strnad ❤️🤘One of the best metal ambassador who sadly passed away last week. I don't think you would ever like The Black Dahlia Murder but he definitely deserves a shoutout! Love you guys!
RIP Trevor
Black Dahlia fkin Murder🤘🏽 RIP Trevor
They might like the lyrics, at least, for their gothic horror movie vibe.
So glad you guys did this one, cheers!
Yess!!! I have been waiting for this. I haven't watched yet, but I KNOW you'll love this song. This is a song I can and have listened to for litteral hours on end.
Edit: first! Besides the LiV comment. Notif gang!
One of the best songs by far ! Glad you guys found it and enjoyed it 🤘🏼
Loved the song too. Really good structure. And felt like they had good taste in their choices.
It’s been a real pleasure to see you guys grow into GOJIRA fans 🤘🏽🤘🏽 Rock on!
That's what is so great about metal. There is such a broad spectrum of what you can do and play. It's only limited by your own imagination! Glad you guys are loving the journey, it never ends! Cheers!
Thanks for posting this!
It's definitely time to experience "Remembrance" live from the Link Alive concert!
or Death of Me
@@nwarwick5905 death of me for sure
DEATH OF MEEEEEEE.
Indians is great too. The energy from that album is unreal
This song is so good! It's one of my faves off the album, along with L'enfant sauvage 🤘
This was the first Gojira song I'd ever heard, and was my gateway into their music. Awesome to see you guys finally review it! :D
Thanks for the reaction, hadn’t heard this before
It is dope. Gojira has a plethora of songs. 100ernt one of the best musicians at this time.
Yes I love this songgg so much… well actually I fell for this song much more recently
Also a favorite for me! Such great emotion!
You guys are awesome! 👏😈🤘
this song confidently occupies the first place of my top gojira songs. a really amazing and unique song
Haven't seen one of your videos in a few years, that damn algorithm. I'm glad you guys are still going strong!
The power of music has no color or boundaries when we open our minds
This is the song that introduced me to one of my favourite bands, guys. So amazing.
Love listening to music with you guys... :)
This song is incredible. Nice reaction.
The whole album rocks. My personal favorite is The Axe.
I just saw them May 3rd in San Antonio open up for Deftones. It was an amazing show but, I want to see them headline because they didn’t have an encore song 😞
You're right they deserve to headline. Personally my favorite band. The lyrics, the feel of their songs. Plus they're really cool guys
Probably one of my top 5 Gojira songs. Every time it goes into the hard part it gives me goosebumps. And Mario is just a master of snare ghost notes. Love it.
I love how you guy's vocabulary to describe metal has expanded throughout the years
Great song and reaction. Definitely a song that l will go back to and l was born in autumn!
This is one of my faves right here. Cheers
This is the song that got me into Gojira. And still my favorite from them. It's totally unique and flows so naturally.
Yeah guys, I'm so happy you did Born in Winter, it's one of my favorite Gojira songs, I would call it "their ballad". There is an official video for this song, it's very nice! So rich in emotions, so calm yet intense and explosive. Love it, and loved your reaction
This is the song that really opened my eyes to Gojira, it led to loving the whole album and in a short space of time their whole catalogue. just such a wonderfully constructed song.
Finally an inteligent reaction thank you guys
I still remember the first time I heard this song- GD it blew me away and left me in awe
With earplugs I let my ears tell me. If I’m too close or the mix isn’t right (usually too much guitar) I’ll pop plugs in. I keep a set of eargasm plugs on my keychain and just pop them in when needed. Bands that are loud just for the sake of loud I always pop in the plugs. It also help to filter out things with certain bands and adds clarity. As a drummer I actually use them live and it helps me hear the guitar/bass/vocs as a whole and cuts down on the clutter of on stage audio!
One of my favorite Gojira songs.
This is such a great song. That intro is so smooth and groovy... and then the drums kick in at the perfect moment and take you right in.
Ha! believe it or not I posted this before you started talkin about it being smooth and groovy... f'n nailed it!
Karnivool - I soooo wish some Patreon requests that! They would love it as much as Gojira.
I think you guys are thinking of Red Rocks. They have an amazing performance there of the song “Pray” you should definitely check out even if you don’t make a reaction to it.
I always interpreted that born in winter referred to life starting in the bitter cold of the vacuum of space. Especially with the Big Bang reference. And of course also referred to the harsh struggles and suffering of life. I always felt this song carried the spirit or “essence” of the will to live. Even before reading the lyrics and understanding context just the initial reaction to the sound of this song grabs you and you feel it in your soul. At least that was my experience.
Always brilliant. The most recent band to capture my imagination is Knocked Loose. He screams throughout the songs so there is a barrier to entry but they deliver magic moments. I love 'trapped in the grasp of a memory', but so many other bangers. I don't think LiV will ever be able to get passed the extreme hardcore style but for ppl out there that want to give something a go, it might be worth it.
Yesss
They would hate the screaming tho! 😂
@@bingokill i agree, even though i think his vocals refelct the lyrics, i understand why people wouldn’t like their style.. i fucking love everything about them personally especially their live shows
Defo gonna check them out, thanks for the recommendation! :)
Their album "A different shade of blue" is gold!!!!
Check out the song " mistakes like fractures". All the older stuff by them is great too.
this an old school reaction, but god bless to the people who get to see this finally🙌🏽
Glad you guys got to this one!
EVOLUTION! That's exactly what this song and band is.
Hey Ryan and Georges. I enjoy a lot your reactions. I'm a 47 years old metal fan (but not just metal 😉)and it's always a pleasure to see you discover new stuff. For this song I really would like to be able to hear it for the first time again. I'm French and it's a shame to see how underrated Gojira aree in their own country. I'll see them next month, can't wait 🤘. Greetings guys, keep it up.
The guitar work on this song is underrated af. The octave pairing/multi finger fretboard tapping is pretty tricky to nail down, and Joe doing that while delivering yet another great vocal performance is unreal.
Joe is absolutely incredible at playing and singing but highly unlikely that they tracked him doing both of these at once, to be fair!
I learned this on guitar and let me tell you! They are innovative as hell! Tapping is nothing new since EVH made it popular but the way they implement it by tapping octaves to create this echo effect is hypnotizing! Love it!
I was waiting for this for so long.
As a gojira fan, I highly recommend you to react to "Liquid Fire" or "The way of all flesh" songs with a huge emotional aspect and that hypnotic atmosphere in Gojira's way. And if you wanna explore in some more progressive stuff. I think that "Anamnesis" by Lucid Planet will blow your mind.
I promise you won't regret.
Cheers guys, hope everything goes good for you.
This is my fav gojira song. Take a look at Low Lands for sure!
Keep it up guys, you are great
Gojira's transitions with tempo is so beautiful
Amazing Gojira all time) love'u show! Respect from Russia!
I loved when you mentioned "EVOLUTION." That comment made so much sense... They are EnviroMetal! The way the Embrace Tribal Sounds with the most technical and Groovy shit!!!
MASTERPIECE
✨ Magical 🪐
Probably my favorite overall song from them. It’s so emotional but in a downplayed way. It also reminds of the Viking show intro (singing style). The singing is very hypnotic.
This is by far my favorite Gojira track for my own personal taste. Such an amazing track.
Nice to see more Gojira
FINALLY! My favorite Gojira song!
This was a first spin for me from Gojira and I loved it. Ryans reaction was how I was feelin haha. Think you guys would dig After The Burial-Pennyweight. Theres even a drum playthrough thats vocal less that I would be curious if George likes more or less than the original. Have a good one guys!
I Just saw Gojira along with Deftones at the Greek Theatre in LA, they are an amazing band and definitely deserve to be in the limelight
Lost in Vegas doing another Gonira song . Life is good 🙌🏼
One of the masterpieces by Gojira oui oui oui assuredly. Great réaction
It's Red Rocks you're referencing, and it's the first time I actually really and appreciated Gojira honestly. I had heard them before, sort of, but then I heard them for real there, and it totally changed my perspective. They are amazing and so are you guys. I absolutely love that you guys appreciate this truly unique and powerful band. Yeah, hell yeah.
Amazing choice, and another amazing reaction experience. Please consider "a sight to behold" to keep exploring Gojira's creativity.
One of my absolute favourite songs of all time. Wish there was a much longer version, and I wish they wrote more songs in this style
Also, the venue discussed in the video is Red Rocks Amphitheater. Trust me, if there's someone there that you want to see, it's worth the ticket price
Saw them in Vegas when they played with Deftones a few weeks ago. AMAZING show! Wondered if I was going to bump into you guys.
Yes!! More Gojira!! 🔥🔥🤘🏼❤️🔥
I was thrilled when you two went off on my choice! I love this song and I was a teensy bit nervous that you wouldn't dig it as much as I do, boy was I wrong!
See you back on patreon next month, I've missed you guys!
Good shit Karen!
Good job Karen
@@Tredemptation Thanks! I was a wee bit nervous that they might not be into it, man was I wrong!
@@darththomthom Thanks!!🤘🤘🤘
the omnific is a band of two bass guitarists and a drummer. great technical music. antecedent is a sick song and great music video
There are more expensive earplugs you can get that tone down the decibels without losing much clarity. Worth the dollars in my opinion. Great song and reaction lads 🙂
I second this if you really like live music you definitely should go make a print out of your ear and buy earplugs that are tailored for the shape of your ear.
You can chose the filter with the attenuation curve and the fact that it's shaped like your ear makes the plug really comfortable and more efficient, while still sounding like music.
You can even sing with these
Like? You guys can’t tell me this and not give me a brand or link or something?
@@xmondoofficial119 Several brands will give you at least three options in earbud size, this meaning they have different options when you buy your buds. I would go with Creative, Sony, or JBL, in this order.
@@xmondoofficial119 mine are from a company called Elacin, they specialise in ear protection
I use some of those and they actyetake the unnecessary crunch out and makes it all so much clearer. Unless I speak. Then it sounds like I am underwater
Said it once, gonna say it again: you guys have the coolest Gojira (and Tool) reaction on the tube, George always comes with the most interesting insights about the music. I agree that this is one of their best songs.
Glad you discovered their BEST track. Fire x 1000
Can't wait to see you react to Explosia
Red Rocks in Colorado. I would love to go to a concert there. It would be awesome to see one of your favorite bands there
Just bought the vinyl last week
Hahaha loved this reaction, Gojira are the shizznizzle
The song after this one is one of my favs. Love how you two are nerds for Gojira 😂
