Kiko is an amazing guitarist. I love the guy. Plus he has a UA-cam channel that shows behind the scenes of Megadeth shows. No other band does that.
Actually, I've been watching some of Unleash the Archers' old videos. They did a lot of homemade videos where they just documented the making of their albums.
Mostly is for portuguese speakers (Kiko is brazilian).
He also shares his great ideas on guitar playing in that channel

I kind of have a similar experience in some of my videos and apparently it happens automatically where one audio is louder or quieter than the rest. Maybe just for me lol and the rest did it to troll everyone 🤣

Kiko's a monster player, definitely the best they've had since Marty. Great feel.
I recommend every instrumental solo album from Kiko Loureiro: No Gravity, Universo Inverso, and Sounds of Innocence. I never get tired of them. He is one of the most versatile and passionate musicians, yet very unrecognized. Universe Inverso won my heart.

He was never a good fit. Broderick is not a "soulful" player like Marty or Chris Poland were when they were in Megadeth. They were highly technical too but they had that eb and flow that belongs in rock music in general...You don't want to play the song every single time exactly the same kind of thing you want to throw in accents and make it your own based on your feelings. Broderick either doesn't know how to do that or doesn't want to. Probably the latter.

Eh? Broderick was not unknown prior to joining Megadeth. He already had his own huge fanbase among guitar players, myself included.

hi... if you don't know very much about Kiko's handicap, I suggest you to listen to an album of Angra called Temple Of Shadows... there you will hear some REAL hard and melodic guitar stuff... the hardest solos I ever heard are on that disc

Kiko is perfect for Megadeth!! I really hope that the current Megadeth lineup is the last one. I am really looking forward to their next album after Dave beats cancer. Dystopia in my opinion is the best Megadeth album since Rust In Peace. I still listen to Dystopia so often that last year I got the Japanese deluxe edition with all the bonus songs and three Dystopia live songs from the tour. This is the strongest that I have seen Megadeth since the Rust In Peace lineup.
