I haven't run into him yet, but he lives right here in Franklin, Tennessee .. just south outside of Nashville. Would love to run into him just to say "hey" and hope things are going well for him and his family. He seems like a really good guy.
Dave Mustaine is the only musician left on my bucket list that I have not met yet. I have so much respect for everything that he has accomplished in his career and his life. Most people would have gave up on some of the things that Dave has overcome in his life. The number 1 thing that I have always loved about Dave is that he has never been a quitter ever. Megadeth has been one of my all time favorite bands for over thirty years and I am most definitely a bigger fan now than ever before. I love the majority of Megadeth's catalog such as Killing Is My Business And Business Is Good, Peace Sells But Who's Buying, So Far, So Good, So What, Rust In Peace, Countdown To Extinction, United Abominations, Endgame, and Dystopia are all MASTERPIECES to me. I do love the rest of their catalog alot also. I am really looking forward to their next studio album and hopefully it will be out this year.
This man deserves to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. If influence is a criteria, not just album sales, Dave Mustaine is thrash metal, he influenced more people than we'll ever know.
"Because I have my own personal relationship with God I didn't realize that was all I needed because that was all I had". That's a wise man right there.
around 5:45 Dave explains what makes Megadeth stand out from the rest and why they are my favorite metal band. They have actual groove and rhythm like a jazz band, and most of the guitar solos are based on more exotic and jazzy scales than all blinding pentatonic stuff. The whole Peace Sells album grooves harder than some funk albums, despite it being thrash metal! Pantera is one of the few bands that have the same emphasis on groove but they came afterwards.
So did I. He signed mine. Saw the show that night in St. Paul. Testament opened. A few weeks later or so, saw the same show but Anthrax opened. Slayer heading both.
What else can you do than agree with the subject you interview? Question is asked, you wait for the response and the subject responds. This is a sign of respect.
He seems like a really nice and thoughtful guy. I’ve never listened to his band, barely any Metallica besides what gets played on the radio. Maybe I should start. 😅
Most people don't know this but when u get Dave on a one on one talk and u don't mention Metallica, he's just as down to earth and sociable as Jason and Rob despite the rumors
Wtf? How many times is the interviewer gonna say "mm-hmm" "righ-right" "yeah-yeah" I have a feeling the kid has no idea what Dave is even about. Is he aware that he is standing next to the guy who wrote Bad Omen- Lookin Down The Cross-My Last Words? Maybe he does, who know's? not me.
I listened to Dave's book on line via e-book. I listened to the whole book without stopping. I hung on every word. I feel like I know Dave. Really hoping to make the concert in Portland, Oregon this summer. : Thanks.
Dave Mustaine is a living Legend in my opinion. He is one of the toughest human beings ever. I have so much respect for everything that he has accomplished in his life. Megadeth has been one of my all time favorite bands ever for over thirty years and I am a bigger fan now than ever before. I love the majority of Megadeth's catalog big time. Albums like Killing Is My Business And Business Is Good, Peace Sells But Who's Buying,So Far, So Good, So What, Rust In Peace, Countdown To Extinction, The System Has Failed, United Abominations, Endgame, and Dystopia are PHENOMENAL in my opinion. I do love the rest of their catalog alot also. I am really looking forward to their next studio album and hopefully it will be done and out this year.
If I was at this bookstore and saw DM, I'd pretend to look around and read the books, but in reality I'd be stalking them until I get an autograph and a pic!!
Dave is a nature man, comfortable and also musician genious, i dont like all albums anyway but in every situations may fit whatever songs, i have my favorites megadeth albums!
Best book Ive ever read. It was really awesome to read about him then go see him at Gigantour a few nights ago. The amount of respect I have for this man is limitless. Def. my #1 idol. Rock on Dave \m/
i love how dave ended the metallica megadeth feud on stage in 1993 along with metallica, and 20 years later people are still going on about it like a bunch of immature children like come on you can like 2 things for christs sake
This book made me laugh and cry Dave is the man and this book really can help people thank you Dave I enjoyed it and I recommend it to everyone who loves to read long live megadeth
Dave is so awesome. He is in the great order of Davism (my religion) don't ever judge a man until you walked in his shoes. and learn to love .... that's it.that is the one thing that all religions have right, is don't judge and love everyone even if they are your enemy. trust me it pays in the end.
Some of the best things in life or directions taken, come about through adversity and things falling apart. The bust up with Metallica was a huge plus. We got Metallica and Megadeth. Dave got the freedom to pursue his own vision. He came back. All good. 2 Aplhas such as Dave and James were never going to co exist in the same band for long.
It's true Dave if you put GOD as in the center of our life, really it will be worth it ...I was remember my mom before she pass away she said that if you believe GOD and do things what do you want to be in the good way.they will not leave you.that was my mom told me.even now I miss her when I was incountered a very worse situation regarding the status of my life...I call HIM and it's my daily habbit.my day will not be complited.i could wish if i had a dream together with my mom I won't be woke up I want to continue my dream in my whole life with her,but we can't do that coz He will be the first one that they will know The situation every single day in our life ....
Dave and I have a couple things in common..we both have the same color of red hair..no freckles and we both play metal guitar...I can live with that 🤘🎸🤘
@assassin186 It is his autobiography, his path to Salvation, a bumpy path, I read some shit I never knew bout him its full of more insight than video documentaries or interviews.
Imagine randomly seeing Dave Mustaine inside your local library
I'd try not to bother him, but I think I'd at least say, "Dave, you're the man!" and try a quick handshake.

Dave: so I just killed 3 people yesterday
Interviewer: yeaaaaa yeahhh
Right right

Would have been funny as hell and if she had invited him to church or something. Dave shows up and does the whole youthanasia album. 🤘
Dave Mustaine is an amazing guitarist, artist, and above all an amazing person.
Imagine going into the same Book store that Dave Mustaine is in and not knowing that there’s a legend right there.
I could listen to Dave talk for hours. Such an interesting dude, even when he’s looking at books in a library.

That's a dumbass comment 🤦
The problem with being true open and honest, Is your usually the only one. It sucks when you realise how crappy people really are.
tell me about it
It's an ESTP trait. I'm one too and I relate with this. Few people have the fucking balls to say things how they are like Dave and ESTPs
I’ve met Dave many times over the years; good guy.
I love Dave..."its going to help people because you can play heavy metal and be a badass and you can also be a good guy."
I keep waiting for him to say, "Hello Me Meet The Real Me".....
Dave is so handsome
Seraphina,I agree with you, dayummm Dave! Super sexy.
Good for him!!! He has the best hair in the industry!!!

I wish I could see my favorite band live
