  • In this video, I discuss a simple technique to remove the stainless trim around the drip rail of many classic and muscle cars.

    Appreciate this! I haven't done this since the 70's when I used to help my Dad do this kind of work. I am beginning a restoration project on his old 72 Grand Prix. The roof has a vinyl top and there is a LOT of rust under it, and I'm sure many holes. I just couldn't remember how to do this, thanks a bunch!!

      Thanks. I've been. Usy with travel this year and haven't been able to put out alot of videos.

      @@inthehomeshop Trust me, taking my time hasn't been a problem. As I see it, your technique should work for the trim I've been stuck on.

    On the 81 pontiac bonnneville I have the rain gutter trim came off easy just removed the 2 end pieces and the center piece rocked off with little to no effort.

    Jeremy do you have any videos on removing the chrome pieces off the bottom of the doors on a 81 pontiac bonnneville? At first I was going to tape them off but saw some rust behind one. Not sure how to remove them and they look in great shape so I would like to re use them.

      No, to put on it clips back in reverse of how it came off. Well, let's say it *should* do like that. lol. We all know dealing with cars and how things don't always go how they're supposed to! lol
