As a man on tinder. Literally most female profile looks like her with flirters and they seem to mostly have the same bios and same stuck up narcissistic anti male personality.
I now only swipe left to girls who look different. Not ugly... just more real and authentic. I agree! I have found my looks have complicated things, and expectations from others has been greater because of the way I look. Either bets were being made on who can sleep with me, or I was the exotic experience men wanted to have. Either way it was discouraging to say the least!

I'm a late bloomer. As someone who only began "glowing up" in her 20s, I learned 2 things:
1. Pretty privilege is REAL.
2. Beauty speaks for itself... You don't need to tell people how pretty you are.

I was a late bloomer as well. I know how it feels to be rejected and considered ugly. I know how it feels when people find you attractive. Looking back,it was a blessing in my earlier years to be ridiculed and rejected. I was able to grow a tougher skin, to build my personality, and integrity. I have compassion for people who suffer or don' t fit the world's superficial standards. That is a gift that will last long after looks fade.

I have cerebral palsy, when Aba said that able body privilege was personally his number one privilege. I’m not going to lie I was taken aback was not expecting that response. Just you recognizing the the obstacles mean a lot, it makes me feel seen in a world full of “normal” people. There have been times in history where women did make themselves look ugly so they don't get used. In my life and I'm sure other women experienced the same, I stopped trying/stopped taking care of myself because the attention was unwanted. I've been in a stable relationship for 8 years, recently married, and still had some men (who knew I was in a committed relationship) DM me and do anything to get in my pants. It's so frustrating because attention is a drug to women and when it's an unwanted attention, it makes us crawl into a place where men don't see us. As someone who had a glow up later in life, ugly ducking to a swan if you will lol, I can say with my entire chest "pretty privilege" is real! I would say, I was what would be considered unattractive up until 26 years old (before I started eating healthy, working out, skin and hair care routines, dressed better and overall more confident).
