This is by far my favourite Audioslave song. I can listen to it endlessly and not get bored. Chriss Cornell's voice is fantastic and "made" for this song.
you gotta try Soundgarden his first band songs like Burden in my Hand, Fell on Black Days, Black Hole Sun and Blow up the Outside World are masterpieces, from his solo career try Chris Cornell - Preaching the End of the World, Cant Change Me, Moonchild and with Audioslave try I am the Highway, Be Yourself, Show Me How to Live and Cochise then sit back and enjoy a vocal master in action may he rest in peace.
Chris Cornell had a vocal range that one of the best. The song is about death and and finding the afterlife in his own words.I think Chris was a very spiritual man and believed in a afterlife where there is total bliss.
Like a Stone is my favorite song by Chris Cornell. Unfortunately, you can hear in both the lyrics and his voice how emotionally invested he was in these subjects. We found out about much too late. RIP, Chris.
You should definitely check out some of Chris Cornell's other works. He was a once in a generation talent with his vocals. "Hunger Strike" by Temple of the Dog, or any song by Soundgarden would be a good starting point.
Audioslave was a "superband" consisting of Lead singer Chris Cornell (Lead singer of Soundgarden) and Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello (lead guitar), Tim Commerford (bass/backing vocals), and Brad Wilk (drums). Now go check out SOUNDGARDEN and RATM!
Listen to the studio version of "Slaves and Bulldozers" by Soundgarden. Chris's vocals will blow your mind. He was such an amazing singer. One of a kind. He is missed.
Chris had what I call, in my mind, a "Freddie Mercury Voice", I think he would've been wildly successful no matter which musical genre he eventually settled into. Meaning that he could've sang anything from Blues to Opera with his range.
Amazing voice, He did the opening song to 007 Casino Royale movie in 2010, You Know My Name, also you should check out Loud Love by Soundgarden, truly an amazing voice RIP
Enjoying your reactions and looking forward to war pigs. How about Ignea (Fantastic Ukrainian Metal Band - Disenchantment, Jinslammer, Seytanu Akbar, Nomald's Luck) who are touring and can't wait to see in Bristol, UK on 4th November
Liked your reaction, please react to more Chris Cornell, any song really but Soundgarden was 1st so you might want to start there Rusty cage Outshined Birth ritual Like suicide Fell on black days Blow up the outside Spoonman My wave. All awesome songs by Soundgarden
The 2 best singers of the past 50 years, ANY musical genre....Layne Staley and Chris Cornell. Both of them died way too soon. Chris could also cover any song better than the original. Listen to his live studio version, Nothing Compares to U. I try to sing as many Alice in Chains and Soundgarden/Audioslave/Temple of the Dog, songs as possible for karaoke.
Thank you for being here!
"The sky was bruised, the wine was bled"
So poetic
This is a masterpiece. In my opinion, their studio version of "Be Yourself" is also a masterpiece.
RIP Chris you are loved and missed.
I maintain a few musicians who went away early, amongst them, Chris Cornell, MJ, Shawn Lane
This is by far my favourite Audioslave song. I can listen to it endlessly and not get bored. Chriss Cornell's voice is fantastic and "made" for this song.
Agree 100%!!! They have lots of great songs but none better than this, this is my favorite song by any group
Same here Vals.
RIP Chris.
Will be forever missed
I could listen to Tom Morello's guitar solo in this song all day long.
Still breaks my heart to hear him sing
He wrote this thinking of himself
This song is a Masterpiece 🤘🔈🔊🔉🎸🎸🥁🎤🔊🔈🔉🤘
Tom Morrello is the guitarist basically Rage against the machine but instead of Zak on vocals its Chris Cornell. So they renamed the band Audioslave.
Thanks for the obvious capton
Its audiogarden against the machine ikyky
@@TRILLMURRAY6030actually it would be, temple of audiogarden against the machine.

Don't forget nowhere but you, and seasons from his solo stuff
Such an intensely deep song. Memories of Innocence dancing to it at WRAP.
I Am the Highway is another great Audioslave/Chris Cornell tune I think you would enjoy
Thank you so much for the suggestion 😊
You should listen to him singing when I'm down live at troubadour

His voice was absolutely phenomenal! I liked his band but I know people were disappointed that it wasn’t a harder rock record.

CC did a fantastic solo accoustic version of this song in the "aol sessions" even better than the studio version
Just scrolled through the entire channel and cannot believe there is no TOOL on here yet.😮😮😮
Good point, will have to do it ASAP! 😊
@@InnaSoloMusic it's a rabbit hole for sure.
@@InnaSoloMusicplease react to more Chris Cornell as well
