The wonderful, amazing Chris Cornell. His voice was like no other. Such a sad loss for all of us. I'm so glad that you have discovered him. We all love and miss him so much. Please continue any and all things Chris Cornell. This song just touches the tip of that man's talent. He was truly amazing. There will never be another voice like his. Will be forever loved and forever missed❤💔
Chris was truly one of a kind, as an artist and musician. This whole band created excellent material. “Show Me How To Live” by this group is a prime example of Chris belting with incredible power. Rest In Peace.
He beautiful girls. Chris Cornell struggled with addictions when he was a kid. R.I.P. Chris Cornell 🙏🙏🙏 Have a great New Years Eve. Love you girls. Love greetings Leon 💞
Chris Cornell is soo awesome I love all his work. He has a dark yet beautiful sound. I'm soo glad yall reacted to this. Hope yall keep listening to him and other grunge type of rock bands. Rip Chris 🙏
Know what girls? Describing Chris Cornell's singing as "words like a dagger" is spot on. He makes sounds that wound my heart in the only possible way in which it could be good.
Once you get into Chris Cornell, you'll come to realize that very few if any rock singers compete with him. Emotion, range, talent, lyrics and versatility, he may be unmatched. Sure, there were rock singers who had a higher range, maybe better stage presence or were better song writers, but to check all of the aforementioned boxes, I think Chris stands alone. I encourage you to dive into his catalog because it is simply a transcendent experience.
Eddie Vedder, Axel Rose, James Hetfield, Scott Weiland, Janis Joplin, Dolores O'Riordan, Billy Corgan, Caleb Followill, Chester Bennington, Rob Thomas, and likely others, can check off all those boxes, too. And just because others have been better overall singers than these, in holding the range and notes high and low longer, it doesn't mean they didn't posses what you say likely Cornell may be unmatched at. Bruce Dickenson, Robert Plant, David Coverdale, Corey Taylor, Michael Sweet, Eric Adams, and likely more, can surely challenge your statement (or were able to) on stage live. And, I am assuming you meant the famous singers and I'll leave it at that (because the list is longer).
Y’all are awesome! Chris Cornell was an elite artist and died during a time in his life when trying to expose child sex trafficking in the industry….a truly great man!
Great reaction -- you helped me understand it better. Yes, a lot of emotion. Guys here in this band coming from a couple of the biggest bands of the '90s -- singer Chris Cornell from Soundgarden, guitarist from Rage Against the Machine, Harvard graduate Tom Morello. You picked up really well on the important aspects -- a unique voice, a darkness, a sadness, a cool guitar sound, and a nice melody. Thanks.
Chris Cornell was a tormented soul. Even though ha had all these phenomenal abilities going for him. Obviously a very good looking man, excellent singer, excellent songwriter, musician and successfull bands. Soundgarden and Audioslave mainly. He did a couple of solo albums as well and did the temesong to the James Bond movie Casino Royale. He wrote several songs about depression and longing for life to end. Check out Audioslaves Fell on black days or Black hole sun. Great songs sung by a tormented man. He ended his own life May 18th 2017. 52 yo. Such a tragedy. He left behind a wife and two daughters.
He was deeply affected by Andrew Wood's death. Seasons. Birth Ritual. This song. basically any of his love songs. He never got over Andrew Wood's death.
YEE GIRLS one of my favorite songs. his voice just draws you in. is melodic but strong.. sad but beautiful song and at the same time it's not. 😣😣 Great reaction girls as always
What a great singer Chris was. This is one of my favorites by Audioslave. Hope you both will have a safe and healthy New Year! Look forward to more of your fantastic reactions!
Great reaction...R.I.P. Chris..one of the best singers ever,..Listen to his version of Nothing Compares 2 U (live sirus radio ) and see how emotional it feels
This song has even more impact when you know that Chris took his life in 2017. He was a legend in his own time and touched so many lives. I still miss him very much.
This is such a powerful song! Definitely one of my all time favorite Audioslave songs and all time favorite songs of all time. I love this band because it combines the front man of Soundgarden and the musicians of Rage Against The Machine. Two fantastic bands. Definitely give these songs a try as well. Coshise Show me how to live RIP Chris Cornell. Gone, but not forgotten. ❤❤
Chris Cornell was one of my favorite singers. I got to see Audioslave live a couple times and they were amazing live. R.I.P. to Chris. The rest of the band, their old band is Rage Against The Machine. Rage Against The Machine got back together a few years back. Also the band had another old band called Street Sweeper Social Club
This song holds a special place in my heart as it was playing on the car radio racing to the hospital as my youngest daughter was trying to be born in the seat beside me. We made it... To the lobby. Now 17 years later we still listen to it together on her bday every year
Great insight & reaction to such a beautiful & powerful song. You guys nailed what this song is about and thank you for recognizing the same feelings this song gives me. I would sing this to myself for my children while I was deployed in combat in Iraq. This song holds a very special place in my heart because of that. Thank you.
Great reaction ladies! Chris Cornell’s voice is a force. The way you felt and explained how the song made you feel was wonderful and real. I just happed to find y’all by accident and now I’m subscribed. Keep up the great work 😀
Chris Cornell, the lead singer of this band, and two others (Soundgarden, and Temple of the Dog), died alone. He committed suicide in his hotel room after a show. He suffered from depression, and drug addiction for much of his adult life, and that fact is reflected in his lyrics, music, and vocals. The tone, feeling, pain and sorrow in his voice is authentic because he was living it most of the time. The saddest thing about this is that he was so talented and unique, and probably had many more years of great music in him when he died. We will never get to hear that music, but we will always have what he did up to that point to remember him by. If you really want to hear more of the soul of Chris Cornell, try listening to "Say Hello to Heaven", "Nothing Compares to U", "Just Like Suicide", or "The Last Remaining Light". These are some of my favorites, but his entire catalog is pretty amazing. There will never be another like him. RIP Chris Cornell.
Chris is considered, and rightfully so, the greatest voice of my (gen X) generation. He was originally with Soundgarden and teamed up with Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam as "Temple of the dog" as well. Audio slave is actually "Rage against the machine" without the original lead singer Zacarías de la Rocha (which was another awesome group). Chris has a ton of music you should look into as well. His cover of "nothing compares to you" and "Billie jean" (both live) are incredible. RIP Chris.
All true, but we can't forget another Audioslave hit or two...I can never decide if this is my favorite of theirs or if it's "Show me how to Live"...(Their video with the highway chase scenes (+spliced with the band in the car) from uhm..."Vanishing Point" if I remember right? That movie was crazy!
Chris was unbelievable. IMO regardless of genre he's in the 1% among 1%'ers in terms of vocal talent. Once you hear his voice you won't hear another one like it.
Another great video girls! Chris can sing. That's for sure. Audioslave is a great band. I agree with your thoughts also Juliet. It's an emotional song. It definitely takes me on a mental journey. Good luck with the drums Mia.
Hunger Strike by Temple of The Dog is a must. Also do Chris Cornell's cover of Nothing Compares 2 U. He was one in a billion and will be missed forever.
U reacted to Chris before with Temple of the Dog ‘Hunger Strike’. He was the lead singer/songwriter of Soundgarden, Trmple of the Dog and Audioslave and had a big solo career as well. Check out Soundgarden’s Spoonman. Very cool and fun about a real guy who played the spoons in Seattle! Happy New year girls! Great channel!
You can never go wreong with Chris cornell. Soundgarden,Temple of the Dog,Audioslave and solo. Best voice of generation. If you grew up in the 90's you knew deep down Chris Cornell was on a different level and so was SOundgarden.
This song brings me to tears every time. If you’re not aware lead singer Chris Cornell of Audioslave died from suicide. Chris passed away in 2017. What a frickinn voice he had. OMG. His talent as a vocalist. There are no words. He was also lead singer of Grunge band Soundgarden. Left that band joined as lead vocalist for Audioslave until his death. This song was Chris’s cry for help. Was anyone listening? Listen carefully to the lyrics from “Like A Stone”
Ahhhh Chris... what a voice... referred to as the "perfect rock voice" by his peers. Anything he does is beautiful. Find his Billie Jean Acoustic cover, you won't regret it.
Mental Health took him to soon you can hear the pain In the voice ! If we could see the future maybe we could help maybe not ? At lest we could try sad so sad !!
Hola mia y juliet , me encanto acompañarlas todo el año y les deseo lo mejor para el próximo, alli estare, les mando un abrazo gigante desde Buenos Aires Argentina.
Anything Chris Cornell touched turned to gold!! Temple of the dog with Eddie Vedder, Soundgarden, Audioslave, and soo many solo pieces. All beautiful. My fav song is Soundgarden “Fell on black days” official video…please watch it..so much emotion ♥️♥️♥️
niceee. i like when you nail the song with your description . i feel smarter after. i mean im no vp .... and dad drumming posture. he uses the same posture during his kung fu moves in the mirror to impress mom with :P we cant wait to see mia play the drums. #side_notes. mias lips were on point. either she was using a shiny lip balm or ate a bowl of ice cream. juliet had those goddess of thunder ear rings blinging. happy new year.
Ah the great Chris Cornell RIP and his incredible voice. This leads you in so many directions. Soundgarden. Temple of the Dog. Another great voice in Eddie Vedder. Pearl Jam. And the great Tom Morello on guitar. Rage Against The Machine. Even to a courageous young female band of today Voice of Baceprot. Another wonderful perceptive reaction! And both of you in Nirvana shirts! Juliet and Mia, you warm my heart.
Chris.... Layne....Kurt.... Andy..... Shannon.....Mark.... Scott....and the many many others from that time period that passed were my Generations gift to the world.... I'm sad they're gone for selfish reasons, but we should all feel blessed they were with us the short period of time that they were able to be.....God Loves Grunge!!!
Timmy C (Bass) said they were all fooled by Chris' writing as they all thought he was writing love songs, when they had a much more dark, yet beautiful meaning. RIP Chris
Welcome to the wonderful Chris Cornell's world, girls. Hope you may react to Soundgarden. Thanks for this :)
You guys nailed it and even though Chris Cornell suffered with depression, he was able to express that through his beautiful voice.. R.I.P
The reason it's so hard to describe his sound is because there won't ever be another Chris Cornell. RIP
You ladies have only touched a small portion of what this man can do. There will never be another Chris!!!
Dont know what kind of pain Chris was in to take his own life, but the world lost an incredible voice and talent. RIP brother.
Chris was truly one of a kind, as an artist and musician. This whole band created excellent material. “Show Me How To Live” by this group is a prime example of Chris belting with incredible power. Rest In Peace.
Killer song!
“And I sat in regret for all the things I’ve done”. Heavy. Whoa heavy.
He beautiful girls.
Chris Cornell struggled with addictions when he was a kid.
R.I.P. Chris Cornell 🙏🙏🙏
Have a great New Years Eve.
Love you girls.
Love greetings Leon 💞

“In your house I long to be, room by room patiently, I’ll wait for you there, like a stone”
Chris Cornell is soo awesome I love all his work. He has a dark yet beautiful sound. I'm soo glad yall reacted to this. Hope yall keep listening to him and other grunge type of rock bands. Rip Chris 🙏
Rest In Peace Chris Cornell 💔
I knew this song when I was 16 years old in highschool. Now I'm 35. And it's nice seeing you girls enjoying of it.
Chris lost his battle with depression, and that breaks my heart, but his music has helped me keep from losing mine so far.
Know what girls? Describing Chris Cornell's singing as "words like a dagger" is spot on. He makes sounds that wound my heart in the only possible way in which it could be good.
agreed
He WAS in pain, he knew too much and was a humanitarian, he was taken before his time. RIP Chris 🙏🏻
Such a great song. Rip Chris.

Y’all are awesome! Chris Cornell was an elite artist and died during a time in his life when trying to expose child sex trafficking in the industry….a truly great man!
Just listen to "Im a Highway" live version.
Chris Cornell is emotion on pure state.
Great reaction -- you helped me understand it better. Yes, a lot of emotion. Deep song, they'll never be another voice, like his! Nice pick ladies!!!!!
Greatest singer of my generation. Enjoy the journey
Chris' voice is quite subdued in this song compared to what he is capable of and what he has done in other songs.
As you have seen in comments it is Chris Cornell he did have a voice of a GOD
This song has even more impact when you know that Chris took his life in 2017. He was a legend in his own time and touched so many lives. I still miss him very much.
I've watched a lot of reactions to this masterpiece! But yours is one of my favorites 👌😎😁
This is such a powerful song! Definitely one of my all time favorite Audioslave songs and all time favorite songs of all time. Please, you should react to, Chris Cornell - Nothing Compares 2 U.

Such a beautiful song coming from a beautiful man with a beautiful voice 😢. RIP Chris 💙💙

Timmy C (Bass) said they were all fooled by Chris' writing as they all thought he was writing love songs, when they had a much more dark, yet beautiful meaning.
RIP Chris
