  • I wanted to keep my OEM wheels on my truck, but I needed them away from the frame a few inches. What do you think? Wheel spacers on Amazon: amzn.to/3CI9EBB
    I bought these wheel spacers from titanwheelaccessories.com. They were the only place I could find them at the time in stock.
    The exact ones I bought are here: www.titanwheelaccessories.com...
    I will update my views on them in the comments as time goes on.

    What do you think? Are you a wheel spacer fan? I don't despise them, I just would rather have a 1 piece wheel instead of 2. One more layer to go wrong. Have you ever had issues?

    The kids would say “that fitment is sick”. Looks good! Weird that you can’t torque the wheels to spec.

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  Рік тому +1

      Yeah, the torque thing bugs me but I assume they don't want people torqueing the crap out of it with an impact. I like the way it looks and sits now, but I will have to find out more about the torque specs.

    Im running 35x12.50s with factory 20” denali wheels on my 2020 2500hd denali. I just got it and it doesnt seemed to be keyed up any with factory keys. Was wondering if I add these would i rub? Did yours?

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  Рік тому +1

      My 37s rubbed. I did turn up the torsion bars about 4 or 5 cranks. I had to trim my fender liners and the wheel well liners to keep the tires from rubbing. I think even 35s will rub without any modifications, but it should be minor to fix it.

    How did the front look with just the hub centric spacer on before you had the tire on?

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  Рік тому +1

      If you look at the spacers at the beginning of the video, you will see the two hub centric ones have that extruding lip in the middle. That holds the wheel straight. In the rear it's not needed because the hub sticks out past the spacer already and lines up the wheel. Hope that helps.

  • @craig4926

    so with bora wheel spacers they recommended tightening the spacer to the hub at factory spec but the wheel can only max out at 110 on the spacer as its aluminum

      Thanks, I will look into that. These could be the same way but I did not see that.

      @@SeidelRanch yea i got nervous at first but i always torqued them to 140 onto the hubs then wheel to spacer at 110. i towed a shitload of weight too and never any issues. mine were 2inch as well.

    so how was clearance in the front after wheels spacers?

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  9 місяців тому +2

      It helped keep the tires away from the frame really well. I think the frame clearance now is about an inch at full turn. No rubbing there at all. It did put the tires real close to the fender flares to the point I had to trim them some. Now it will only rub the fender flares if I am turning and hitting ruts at the same time. Mostly just when off road like in our pasture or something like that.

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  5 місяців тому

      No issues at all. I just don't let anyone else touch my wheels (rotation, brakes, ...) and make sure they are torqued right.

      Hey, sorry. Was out of town for a few days. They have been great so far. No vibration or anything. We just got back from driving from Texas to Colorado and back with no issues. So far they have been great. I expect them to do well. Only time will tell though.

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  Рік тому +1

      Not the fenders, but the mud flap will be in the way and front plastics on the bumper need to be trimmed unless you change the bumper like I did. Did you go with bigger tires?

    • @LTAJWLU

      I was thinking about the hubcentric spacers however, with these full floating axles, isn’t the loads are distributed on the hubs?

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  9 місяців тому +1

      @@LTAJWLU It's all based on how the truck is setup. In the rear the hubs align the spacer/wheel to keep them straight. In the front, the hubs do not stick out so the lipped spacers are needed to keep the alignment of the spacer and wheel straight. Either way, the lugs are doing the heavy lifting.
