  • Video shows the install of 3/8” hub centric wheel spacers. These smaller spacers can be used to avoid rubbing upper control arms and radius arms.. Video also explains the importance of hub centric vs non hub centric. This video includes pics with stock arms and rough country upper control arms.

    Great information! One of the best videos I’ve seen on this for trucks.
    One video, done by a race team, mentioned doing a paper test where you sandwich printer paper between the spacer to the rim and see if you can wiggle it or have it stay still. Apparently there isn’t a standard for the chamfer, and sometimes there’s a bit of play that will kill your studs. Just thought I’d pass along that bit o wisdom.
    I think I’ll pull the trigger on some 1/4” spacers soon, thanks for your advice!

      1/4” spacers WILL NOT have a lip union the .375 and up sizes. I called BORA and talked to them. They recommend going .375 and up for this reason.

    Your truck looks good with the toyo mts. But with the readylift and the 37 mud grapplers it looks so freaking good. To bad the fifth wheel sat a bit high, but better to be safe than sorry. Keep the good videos coming. 👍

    • @RockyRohde
      @RockyRohde  Рік тому

      Yeah.. The bedside on the gm is a little higher than ford. We purchased the fifth wheel after I put the lift on and it was nose high.. I’m going to put the 37 grapps on the 23 super duty… The camper is going to get a haircut also 😂… Coleman Mach 15 ac units are almost 16” tall. Im going to order the new mach8 units with heat pump and they are 8" tall.. This will save me at least 6-7" clearance. Texas 14’ is legal but I don’t want to have to worry so much about being over 13’6”… Thanks for watching the video.

    Thanks for this info Have the same truck with 35s as well with stock suspension slight rub at full lock so a 1/4" spacer like your brand should do the trick.

      When you go to Motorsport site just select vehicle, width, and check oem wheels…

    Great video! Very informative!
    I'm torn between running 37's and 35's...Love the look of the 37's just worried about frame rub. I also read re-gearing is recommended for a 37 tire. With your 37 set up you had no rubbing at all? What about performance? Truck performed well for you? Did you ever calculate how it effected your mpg? Can't decide between the two sizes. Thanks for your input 👍

    • @RockyRohde
      @RockyRohde  Рік тому +2

      35’s will keep it off the frame and pull better.. 37’s will rub and will rob some power. 35” were a good pick for me and the truck looked good.. 37’s needed more lift and made my camper towing more difficult..

    beautiful truck by the way but i have a question, I have a 2013 gmc sierra 1500 that's 4wd, will a 35x13.50r22 clear my upper control arms, they are not super aggressive 35s and they are factory 22s. I also don't have factory upper control arms, I have the Rough country forged upper control arms. do you think I will be ok?

    How many turns on the lug nuts do you get in the rear? I have a ram 2500 and the rear studs are about 3/8” shorter than the front.

    Hey Rocky...
    One more question regarding the 37s..The 37s are E rated but have a cold max air fill psi of 65 and the stock are 80 psi. Did you get TPMS alarms running at 65psi with the 37s? If so, what did you do to correct or how do you adjust the factory TPMS parameters to prevent the low tire pressure alarm? Thanks again!

    • @RockyRohde
      @RockyRohde  Рік тому

      The tire shop reprogrammed them when they installed.. set them to 50 psi.

    No issues running a 13.5 wide tire on these stock rims?? Most local shops to me say the rim needs to be minimum 9in wide for that tire and stock rims are 8.5 i think.

      @@RockyRohde Appreciate the reply! Lastly do you recall how many rotations you were able to get the lugs on the Denali with the .375 spacer that was used? Want to be sure its proper before ordering. Cheers!!

    • @RockyRohde
      @RockyRohde  Рік тому +1

      I didn’t and I wish I did.. The offroad shop got them in and I let them install when they installed tires. I meant to check it out when I pulled them off. The thin bora spacers are not as expensive. I would order two and make sure you like them and they have enough thread. When I called bora they told me 1/2” was to thick. Said 3/8 and 1/4” were good.. sorry I don’t have the answer..

    Great looking truck! Ive got a 2015, 2500 that I'm about to throw 35/12.50s on and I noticed today that my current tires are real close to the upper control arms. (Rough country UCA's) Once I put the 12.50s on I'd say I'll rub. What brand and where did you get the spacers? I'm looking for the exact ones and can't find them! Thank you in advance!

      @@SMiller5488 oh that's great to hear. I was just looking at how far the tires are tucked in. I'd like them at least flush, maybe poking just a bit. Also sounds like 3/8 is the max on stock threads. Good to know. Can you recommend a brand/site?
