That is assuming nukes will be any good, which I imagine they will be. Very cool system they got here. A map covered with bosses, and as you kill bosses you get more safe area to build. No need for base defenses whatsoever, just a fight before you can expand. Very different indeed
I love how all the new enemies so far have been organic versions of things we've already seen in game, with the Gleba guys like Spidertron and these guys like trains!
It’s also fascinating to hear how the enemy types evolved out of certain limitations in the game engine and making the most out of them. Having a segmented enemy means fewer unique sprites for such a big creature, and ofc the pentapods started off by reusing the existing spidertron logic.
na, they got territories, and they dont have a spawner/respawn. dont build too close to the edge of their territories and youll be fine, you can even see their territories on the map. no evolution and doesn't trigger on pollution either, just territory.

You know what would be awesome for fulgora? Robots, specifically ancient alien robots that we accidentally wake up and spawn in by mining scrap and eventually start building their own factories on the map to build and send tanks and bots after us after we’ve woken up enough of them reactivate some old planetary defense system.
I love how each planet will have a unique breed of enemies, requiring us to change our tactics and adapt No more repetitive defense layout for each planet which worked for Space Exploration mod
Having an enemy that'll actually breach your walls for once is cool. And with the starting planet being a safe point, the devs can finally afford to make enemies that fully destroy your bases on other planets without a permanent game over.
