I miss it though. There's not much use for uranium now since there's a better late game power source and better weaponry. Requiring Uranium for space stuff would keep Nauvis as the main planetary hub and would necessitate the player finding more uranium as the game goes on; currently your starter patch will pretty much last you all game.

Also, a 1120 MW nuclear power plant isn't that hard to set up, and will be sufficient for quite some time. I don't expect I'll ever need more as I'll probably lose interest in expanding my factory once I've gotten to the edge of the solar system. Oh and speaking of starter patch, thanks to using uranium ammo I've exhausted more than half of my original uranium patch. I actually decided to build my real nuclear power plant (as opposed to the small one to patch over my power issues and learn the related mechanics) next to another, larger uranium patch for that reason.

Also, regarding the space science recipe, one solution could be to keep the current recipe (I like the way the gameplay works in the current version, and I'm glad I didn't need to set up and launch uranium to advance in my game at that point), and then add a more advanced recipe that uses uranium but is more efficient in producing space science. I know competing recipes are rare in the base game, but I'm a fan of the concept so long as each recipe has a use. And I guess they might have to make the current space science recipe a bit worse because it's really easy to produce right now.

Looks like the turrets in space age would shoot at any asteroid that's in range, instead of like space exploration where it only shoots asteroids that are likely to collide with the ship, so slim ships are less useful due to a lot of firepower are wasted on missed asteroids.

The problem is that kangaroos are naturally skittish, while the mice have confidence with each other however the kangaroos are able to use clipboards. The mice however are able to type faster, but with the arthritis and size are unable to hold the pen to write even when banding together. But, with alzheimers, the kangaroos efficiently is practically peaked, while the mice seem to have potential. Are they worth the investment enough to hire a worse secretary off the bat? Basically, Do you think they eventually can outpace the kangaroo in reasonable time? I have to make a decision tomorrow

Once you get the advanced asteroid processing, you can build space platform materials on space platforms. Ill launch small platforms that just make space platform flooring and leave em for a bit. I can come back and do more with them, or drop em to nauvis to get shot up to another project.
I think a good mod (or base feature) would be an extra checkbox for inserters to allow throwing things to space, and let you toggle having it off by default.
I'm so excited for the expansion on Monday! Kinda wish I could afford to take the week off to just no-life it for a while but it's probably healthier for me to take it slow anyway
Oef, having watched some space ships being build now, that was rough. I hope your newer itteration scale up a bit. So you can make some more ammo, and fuel on the way. Also I don't think it is usefull to have the collectors overlap so much
@@populer208 Honestly I find it respectable that he didnt, reloading can be boring and imo is best left until you're 100% stuck! (personal opinion) If you just reload away all your problems then you lose the fun of messing up and having to find ways to get around those issues (which can sometimes help you adapt for the future)

This depends entirely on how one defines "reasonable". It's expensive, and I suspect one would need to have the platform cruising between planets to find enough chunks, but it does have the upsides of being infinite, pollution-free, and taking up about 0 space on any planets.
I'm one of the people who have got access to the Space Age beta, but I am ashamed to admit I dedicated almost no time to it... I've been busy with work, some other games, finishing up Plutonium Energy 1.7.0 (and I will need to get more work on it done post Space Age and the PE 1.7.0 release). It's so cool to see you progress with the expansion, but I'll have to stop watching to not spoiler too much for myself. Nice vids, sir!
the ones for the science that output back into the cargo hub: if `science` < 100, enable as for the collectors, `if `astroid type` < 5, enable each collector was filtered to only collect one type
I accidentally control-clicked 150 foundation and it instantly launched it all back to my homeplanet. wasted three rockets because theres no warning before jettisoning cargo back to the orbiting planet, instant ragequit for the night, ruined my sesh. besides that, good game and dlc. just got my roxket silo up finally today and WANTED to try for white science but NEVERMIND I guess..

I don't have the patience to try each variant and also guess what will be needed on the platform and on the trip and on the planet. That would be too much to try and load the saved game, I have limited resources because my factory is small to avoid pollution. What is the accumulator for? There is always sun in space.

you can filter the gun turrets, so they will only shoot at big asteriods or whatever

7:15 the miners share acid between them, no need to run the pipe to every one. Kovarex can be done without circuits, using splitters with priorities.
