The AIM-9P5 is a MUCH better missile than the R-60M. I expect that if this test had been AIM-9B/AIM-9P against R-3S/R-60, this would have been a lot less lopsided.

Hi Cap, maybe you could test the following scenario: Let the F-15, F-14, F-16, F/A-18 defend the fleet: incoming Bombers launching streams of anti-ship missiles. Is the F-14 superior in this scenario? Could the other aircraft defend the fleet at all? (Fleet close to shore so F-15/F-16 could land and rearm). "Fleet" should be just a carrier (no anti air ships). Scenario with and without Aim-120.
I would say primarily the bombers, but in the end it is up to the interceptors whether or not they want to go for the bombers or the missiles. If number of bombers is high enough it might be more important to knock out the bombers, but especially with Aim-7 it might be an issue. # of interceptors should also be limited, so landing + rearming would be a challenge. F-16 fast but only 6 missiles. F/A-18 slow but more missiles. F-15 fast with 8 missiles... Tomcat with the longest punch. Airforce or Navy?

No doubt that the F-5 would win . A Soviet pilot who got to test a F-5 after it was left by US forces in Vietnam said that the F-5 won every time in dogfights against the Mig-21 and Mig-23.
Let me share my Eureka moment during this video: Soviets didn't want that their pilots have a chance at defending themselves according to the design of the cockpit and the mirror to watch the rear section. Luckily that doctrine changed 180°.

Go watch his buyers guides, as far as equipment ive seen people play dcs with just a keyboard, but just an xbox controller will work a little bit better. And in the end make sure you buy a plane that you like otherwise youll never be motivated to learn it.
@@starwarsisajoke keyboard might be difficult (but ive seen people fly all the planes with ease using it, just takes alot of time to get used to) and xbox controller definitly works, altough you might have to use your cable if your laptop doesnt have bluetooth

It is very good in extended fights too. Has a very high thrust to weight ratio. Just needs a competent pilot.

max aoa for the draken at 350kmh is about 24 degrees per second sustained. if youre fancy you could do a cobra and get a 90 degree aoa

You cant deploy flares and just keep flying straight. You have to break phase and plane.
