I became a single mother at 19 and my sperm donor decided that he did not want a baby therefore he was not responsible. I was so hurt, betrayed, embarrassed, I felt like a fool for allowing him into my life. But I blame myself because I allowed this! I should have known better. And she moved on without him and never truly knew him. Fast forward, my mom recently retired from Wright Patt AFB, she has 6 degrees (two of them are PhD). And being that I’m the oldest sibling, I’ve seen my mom go from nothing to amazing. God has truly blessed her. And each time she graduated (since I was two because she had to drop out when I was born) I’ve seen her get her diplomas. I know not everyone will have the same testimony but I pray it will motivate someone for better. Even while being a single mom. ❤

My mother has 5 degress she did the same. Now mine was a dead beat because she left him! 6 months later she met her Boaz. She put God 1st and me 2nd and made it clear she was not having sex to end up in the same boat. He was thrown. My real father died May 31st 2022 they were together 42 yrs!!! Wasn't no step round here were are a family forever!!!! I saw this video. And honestly. I have literally stopped talking to a guy because he had a child and spent so much time with me that I asked him when he last saw his son. Despite his child’s mother wanting him to be in his child’s life. Fast forward…an ex friend dated him and had kids with him and he no longer takes care of those kids. Moral of the story….if you can not take care of the kids you already have I don’t want anything to do with you and surely don’t want kids with you so prayerfully those women didn’t know that prior to having kids with him because of coarse not all ppl are honest about this stuff up front. Given his character, I doubt he told the women he didn't want children before they got pregnant. He probably told them after the fact. Notice, he got many more women pregnant, its only these seven who kept the children. Also, people keep saying why do the women go with him knowing he has multiple children, they probably didn't know. He isn't claiming the kids so why would you think he would tell any woman he is dealing with that he has children. People forget a lot of men lie to get you into bed. I love my son and I've done everything I can to make his life better. I've been blessed along the way to meet ppl who have loved my son and invested in his growth in the same manner as me. Seven children he couldn't even pick up my dog's poop much less be in my presents. When a person talk listen and take notice, they are giving you a heads up about their toxic behaviors. He is open about how he feels at least now. I don't think he is that up front beforehand because I find it hard to believe women would still have sex with the man child. He is selfish he said the 7 women are the ones who decided to keep the children, so we don't know how many babies he truly helped create. This man has said repeatedly that he doesn’t want any kids & yet some of these ladies said “ok”, but then got upset when he refused to support the kids financially and emotionally. I feel so bad for the kids and the ladies. I hope for the ladies sake that they got tested, because there’s no telling what he’s carrying that would pass onto them and/or their kids.

As a mom raising 2 black boys, 17 and 12 I am teaching them to first and foremost love, respect, and be responsible for themselves. When you have respect and love for yourself you won’t have unprotected sex and jeopardize your life and future negatively. I’m also teaching them to be selective with who they choose to date. Do not award any male an automatic pass, automatic access because he 'appears' to be your tribe. He must be OBSERVABLY & CONSISTENTLY decent, have good character, be productive, caring, respectful and responsible to even be in the runnings. (Such men are not so hard to find if you cast your net wider and do not swim in pools where deadbeats abound, unchecked and free to poop where they eat, such is the disrespect!) These qualities are what define a man of good calibre worthy of a decent woman's time. You put yourself at an immediate disadvantage if as a bw you insist that the singular facet of skin colour is an overriding sign of a man being in your tribe and worthy of your attention. What about all the other qualifiers? This is the mistake many women are making and it wastes precious time and energy and only worsens the social dysfunction going on. I definitely do empathize with the moms' as well, since we often find or even place ourselves in situations and circumstances we don't want to be in. Myself I've been there and I realized this after distancing myself from men I used to date because I saw a pattern and it made me feel 'icky'. So I made a choice for myself not be in such a situation again and since 2020 I've been single, celibate and loving every minute. I never had much guidance towards separating sex and love, I had to learn it the hard way which is why I'm grateful for Sister2Sister.

Saying that he was just a sperm donor cuts deep, and makes the woman feel cheap. But it is a hard truth. some young women think that they will never marry, so they allow themselves to get pregnant so they'll have a family before it's too late, or the guy will stay because of the child. Not feeling loved can lead some women to do regretful things. The act of fornication is the sin, not the child. Love your child know matter what the future brings.
