Needed to help co-worker 94 accord... --LOL he thought it was in engine bay, --i thought it was under steering wheel XD (WE GAVE UP, & WENT HOME!) LIKED THUMBS UP! LIFE SAVOR!
Short, to the point, thanks! Old video, I know, but why do you have to do the key thing, or is that just to enable/allow use of the port itself, vs. just getting to it? Thanks again.
I bought a 97 Accord VTI(AUSTRALIA model). Basically,I've been trying to find it ,it's not there; my ABS lights keeps coming off and ON randomly. Does it mean the previous owner removed the OBD port? I've seen 2 connecting plugs laying around: First plug (black wire /white wire), Second plug has (Blue with white stripe and Green or brown I think) underneath the ashtray? Please help!
Please tell me what is the best OBD for a 1998 Honda Accord Scanner tool? Thank you so much I was going nuts looking for that secret! Real mechanics too. I just couldn't believe it.
Came here looking for the old-school diagnostic connector that several of the same model year accords still provided.. ODBII was new for accord somewhere around ~1996(?). Anyways, FYI - old diagnostic connector is just under passenger glovebox. Looks like a blue flattish wire connector.
Stack Bundlez OBD Connector is located on the central console (passager side) OBD is covered with carpet, pull on it to see the connector Your welcome !!!
Looks like your data port is behind the glove compartment towards the middle of the console. If I remember right when I had my 1992 crx ( which had 1996 running gear under it) that's where mine was located
Still cannot find mind. European model. Ashtray is different setup. Comes out but behind is light for ashtray. Above ashtray is small covred glove box and above that is clock. Further up on the dash is the stereo.
I went at the garage and we couldn't find the plug. Also, I king of forgot there was a plug there but I didn't know what it was used for... now I know. lol --
Not at all accurate for 6 th Gen Accords ('98-'02). The hookup for these is about where your left knee is when you're driving. Right under the lower edge of the dashboard
Not so simple for mk 6 year, 2000, a weird yellow socket that confused me completely from all the other UA-cam advice. All I want is an OBD2 socket, but No! To other owners 1998-2002, you have to use the blink code.
The OBD port is not there for 94-95. These years have an empty slot where the port would be. I think it's under the dash right hand side of the driver's foot well. It is not an OBD2/OBDII port and will require a different connector that part stores will not have to check codes for you.

Yes, I think all cars from 1996 and up/newer have ODB2
does the 19994 accord have both obd 1 and obd 2 ports. obd1 behind the glove box and obd2 behind the ash tray?
Holy Crap I never would have found that lol
Thank you
We would have never found it thank you !!!! Lol
Thank you 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. I don’t not think i has one.
Very helpful cause one person at a auto parts store told me there wasn’t one for a 96 and I was like whattt?
Wasn't there for my 94 wagon, it's a manual transmission
Yes, Thank You.
Nice video
Thank you!
You can use the key to release the park lock in the slot in gear selector
And for the 1998?
I don’t even have a ash trey on my 98 Honda Accord any other place it could be ??
Stack Bundlez OBD Connector is located on the central console (passager side) OBD is covered with carpet, pull on it to see the connector Your welcome !!!
thanks bro
1994 doesn’t have this. 1995 V6 only Accord does. 1996 all Accords does.
You did good !!! Honda likes to hide shit.... Give me a American gas drinking V8.... I'm good to go
Have a 95 with the obd2 port in the same location. Has a sticker on the bottom of the steering column that says where it's located
Its an eg civic?
Mine is an accord with the 24 valve v6
@@nashwaldrop6198 damm i thought that mine were like urs but not its kinda stressed full looking for codes for ej lol

Whaaaa i own a 2000 honda accord lx an mine doesnt even have an ashtray an the obd port is right above the latch to pop the hood
This won't allow my code reader to work on my 96 tho, why?

The obd port is not on the 94 back there
How about B series engine EK?
Thanks
My Honda accord doesn't have that OBD2 port i was so frustrated when i found out, after buying the Plug & Drive OBD2 Economy Chip Tuning Box.
Even if it did have one those 'chips' do nothing. Placebo effect pal
my 2000 accord doesn't have an ashtray
Anybody know where it’s located on a 91 Honda Accord?
Not working for me, mine is Honda Accord 2.0i LS from year 2000. Made for European market.
Still can't find it...
Did you find it already, cuz i've got the same problem here
@@nugsnotdrugs1423 Yep, mine is for Norway market, it's located under the carpet next to HVAC on the passenger side.
What about a 94 where it's not there?
DAMN!!!!!!!
This does not work for 97-02, maybe 97 and before. 98-02 is behind hood latch.
Man, my port is absolutely not in that location. Sam car, the porthole is just.... Empty!!!!
Thanks lol
