This excludes those newer CVT’s, those things are expected to fail and none of them will make it to 500K on all original parts.

I have a friend who has sold used Honda and Acura vehicles for over 40 years and he is driving a beautiful, older Civic that has 640,248 miles on the odomoter.. I had a 2004 CR-V (the only car I ever bought new). Put 225,000 miles on it, and then it got totaled being in the middle of a 3-car accident. 😟😢 I now have a 2014 CR-V that I bought used. Currently has 147,000 miles on it. One thing about certain Honda’s in and around the mid-teens years is that they had issues with the VTC Actuator (causing random brief grinding sound upon a cold startup in the morning). Got it replaced via recall issue (twice), but I still occasionally get that startup sound (especially in colder weather). It also has other ticky-tack issues that are annoying, but it still runs well and gives great mileage (I average 18,000-20,000 per year on it due to my daily commute). Will hold onto it as long as I can. When the time comes, I’ll bump up to a used Pilot. But that won’t be for another 50,000-100,000 miles. 😎 This is my fifth Honda over the last 30 years. With most Honda’s and Toyota’s you can’t miss, unless it’s a used one that was poorly maintained or mistreated.

this was my first car. I got it used for free from my gfs dad. My gfs dad drove it, then my gf and her sister drove it (learned to drive on it) and it was dented but drove BEAUTIFULLY. I got a 2012 GLI after that and missed the honda everyday. Ditched the GLI for a shitty civic and love this car way more than i ever loved the VW

If a vehicle shakes at a standstill when it’s put in gear (auto trans) and the break is depressed what does that indicate, generally speaking?

    Hey Scotty,
I've got a 2012 Honda Civic EX-L 4 Cylinder with just over 60,000 miles I bought with 48,000 miles for $10,000 two years ago. I noticed this winter, there's been some vibration which feels like it's coming from the front wheels. I notice this both at highway speeds and less so at city speeds. Would this likely be a tire alignment issue, or are there other simple tests I can do to diagnose what could be the problem?
My thought would be that the ice and snow on the road could have led to a misalignment from the unintentional skidding/drifting.

It is normal for Honda. They're not the most refined engines

Vibration at 50-60 mph. would most likely be a tire balance issue.
