Man you and Sprayway make it look easy. Watch me go outside and tiger stripe my whole truck😂😂😂😂😂 I appreciate y’all boys for looking out for the novices like me. Thank y’all for real.
@@TrueGrittCustoms that's nice bro, and I use a some dam good clears for high production. I get mine from speedokote the one I just used is the high gloss super fast clear. This is inspiring and gives people that may not be able to paint inside of a shop or garage hope. It would be interesting if you would do a closer up walk around of that paint job and point out the areas that you think came out weak and for what reason that way maybe we can try to adjust to avoid it, you were moving mighty fast fo sho! Love your stuff. Real life situation. Real life equipment. I'm 66 and spent most of it working on cars outside. Streets of nyc to deep in the country. Keep going sir.
Yo TGC, Much props for showing the average person with out garage/booth access how to get a clean finish in a tough environment. Keep up the strong work. Have a pleasant weekend. Cheers.
Bruh, I have painted plenty of cars & trucks with that same compressor. Bought mine back in 1999 and it still works. Louder than mofo. Ear plugs or ear muffs become your best friend using that compressor. Keep up the good work. True Gritt and Sprayway all day!
Dope! Thanx for the vid 😎 I've gone to trade school for Collision Repair, but haven't painted a vehicle since training time. They're great about teaching about shop & dealer environments, but when you're helping someone out or doing your own thing, gotta adjust your technique! Appreciate your time 😁
Bro I've been waiting for you to post something else Hey you do good work man I look forward to seeing your work and for you to do this outside that just let me know your level skills is through the roof the roof you never seem to amaze me keep up the good work and keep them blesses
I've been watching a lot of videos of how to paint a car at home. I bought a huge 220v 60 gal compressor with 10hp and a $350 DeVilbiss gun and all sorts of supplies and paint. Spent thousands (still less than a pro would charge) and now that I see the results you got with much cheaper and lesser equipment, I feel so much better that my car will turn out ok! 🤣🤣 thank you!
Salute ! Thanks for the information! My harbor freight joint run out of air so quick. After a few passes then I’m waiting for a minute and my clear coat cloudy like fall day in London
Thanks bro this is good game 🎯🎯 god bless you watch what this chanel does for helping people like this shout to you all the way from South Central Los Angeles
Looks good I painted my first car with a tire air compressor shot the paint like a straw. Upgraded to a harbor freight compressor but have to wait till it builds pressure. You definitely have to have a good compressor.
Really interested. I have a car roof that need to be spray, so did you made a great finish when you sprayed outside?? And did you used primer, colour paint and then clear lacquer?
@@gasmakingboost That's awesome. How did you manage to get great finish? Did you use grip handle on spray can? And did you sprayed the primer on the whole panel before you colour it and clear coat? I'm going to do spray on my bonnet, roof, 4 wheels and under the battery tray in the summer.
@chris0147 I just went for it didn't spray a panel. Primered the car made sure it wasn't too windy outside and not to hot and I used a spray gun with a compressor
True Gritt I saw a air compressor on Facebook Marketplace that was 5 hp a Excell air compressor 20 gallon at home use I think is a 20 or 26 but if hooked up both together would be better but had a turbine sprayer coming but the site ordered it from said they would still send was planning on using that after it comes Fuji Q5 platinum.

I sprayed my first job in 04 outside with a $10 Harbor Freight gun and 11gal compressor. It was a color change with ralley stripes on a silver F150. Took a little longer, but it can be managed. Shot out to you bro, you do excellent work!!!
Have you been using airless electric spray gun to spray on your car? If so did you make it like what professional does or it is worth to go to a professional bodywork to get it done?
@@chris01479 I use much larger air compressors and much better paint guns now. All of my work comes out professional.. sometimes it just requires a little know how and extra work. Quality is not in the shop, however, it's in the individual.
@@jamlzak2536 Oh cool. What air compressor do you use and how many cfm do you have? I don't have a air compressor but I could buy air pump or use a tyre to spray on my car. Will that work or do I have to go to a professional bodywork? If I go to a bodywork shop it will cost me $ 700 to spray on the bonnet, top and the boot so I'd find too expensive and not worth for a 18 years old car. If you can help me how I can find alternative to use air spray gun to spray on my car that will be great.
@@chris01479 Get a decent lvlp spray gun and a 30gal compressor. Prep work is key. Prep it good, take your time, don't be nervous and just shoot it. Your environment is important...wind, humidity, too much heat are conditions you don't want to paint in

FYI 1500w (110v x 15A) is the max you can have on a single breaker for 110v households. Which means 2hp is the maximum about if power you can have on a 110v system. 1 HP is usually 700 watts. So anything that states above 2HP is just marketing. You need a 2 Phase motor (220v) in order to have 4-5HP, double the voltage means half the amp draw. CFM also only states the amount of air that can be delivered from a tank full of compressed air, once you fall below a certain threshold it's the actual air pump that provides the CFM needed for HVLP guns (12+CFM). The only air pumps that supply that require 4+HP so thus needing 220v system... Yeah that's a lot. If you're doing it at home as a hobby, use an LVLP spray gun like the "Sprayit 33000" $100 gun kit that uses 5CFM. Otherwise you need a 220v shop compressor.
Just saw this video, 2 years after it was posted and i'm amazed. TBH, its inspiring me to do the same to my old Minivan. The quality looks decent, I was wondering if you could do a follow-up vid and share close-ups of how the paint held up.
WIll be doing my ford ranger outside hopefully in a few days if I can get the perfect weather. my compressor is old school too a Charge air pro 5hp 20 gallon. Very loud!
