I hope you keep listening to Pink Floyd. They're one of the greatest bands that's ever been, and they've influenced every genre of music that's come after them.
Definitely have the lyrics to hand for most Pink Floyd songs. BTW The next track on this album is "The Great Gig in the Sky" guest vocals Clare Torry possibly the deepest dive into the emotions surrounding Death you will ever hear and you def won't need the lyrics. 😉
Yeah I tried with closed captions but didn’t work well lol but since I know better now I’ll definitely find a video with the lyrics !! Appreciate you for watching !! Much love 🙏🏽💯
Those are grandfather clock chime bells and some alarm clocks and other clocks on the intro. Never heard of Pink Floyd, wow! This album was released in March 1973 and remained on the Billboard Top 200 charts for 724 consecutive weeks finally dropping out in April, 1988. Have you ever heard of The Beatles? The greatest and most influential band in the history of recorded music. I don't get you young people today, you're all clueless. Peace ❤
Its crazy how much faster time passes as you age. Its good yiure aware of that already. Time is simply a warning about how time slios away faster and faster and the end comes while most people are clinging to old plans as though they might still get around to them. The second song it transitions into signifies ("hime, hme again...").the end of life and people gathering at the church. The next song on the album represents death and ascending to heaven.
There’s a famous photo of this girl trying to learn guitar and staring at the camera whilst her dad tries making a chord on the neck. The dad is the guitarist of Pink Floyd
The Pink Floyd rabbit hole is a very deep one, be prepared! The lyrics of this song are so meaningful. Try "Comfortably Numb" from the Pulse live album. I know it is a reaction channel but please don't interrupt a David Gilmour solo - sacrilege.
TIME is not a stand alone song, it is the intro to The Great Gig In The Sky, the next song on the album. The Great Gig is the END of Time, our time, starting with denial and ending with peaceful acceptance.
What you are hearing at the very beginning is mostly alarm clocks going off. Check out the PULSE LIVE version of Time. These guys are excellent at live performances!!!
You should react to the live "pulse" version if you can.. nothing wrong with this reaction obviously, but Pink Floyd put on such a show I feel your really missing out. And there are so many tracks to choose from, you will not be disappointed. Comfortably numb, Sorrow, Run like hell.. just to name a few👍
@@johnwilson5743 There seem to be a lot of reactors like this. Too bad. Brought up on computer games and Facebook. Hopefully he'll learn from the viewers, and mellow, and start to feel instead of think.
Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer you get to the end, the faster it runs out. 😱 EVERYONE can relate to this song. BTW NEVER pause a David Gilmour solo.
Released 1973. Greatest slow hand guitarist. Judging by your your constant jibber jabber and fidgeting, you need to listen to Roundabout by Yes off the Fragile album. Its funkadilic prog and I've been dancing to Roundabout for 53yrs.
lol Yeah, its opening does indeed feel like a powerup lol. Used to be long ago, powerups had different forms, some had multiple choice endings, some faked you out, and some had a slow burn XD... Also the song after this one on that album... Is EPIC... Again, another piece of cultural history that one.. That Great Gig in the Sky... So, There's another one you've got to hear.
Happy belated 4/20😎 Absolutely do the entire movie. The Wall. I had a great uncle who ultimately lived 112 years. When I was in High School he told me that living a long time was like taking one day away for every year you live. Now that I'm 63 it makes perfect sense. (non-sequitur)
@@schuyler_reacts You are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today. And then one day you find ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I know your new to rock, so your get off with a ⚠ 'One NEVER interrupt's a 'Guitar' lead. lol. Ya made some great points on Time. Summer just got started and we're almost 1/2 way through. Great reaction.
The tick tick sound is called a metronome but I believe in this recording it was actually David Gilmore. Floydians don’t like pauses during the guitar solos. They will stick with you, and give you a world of information but, they will boo the pauses and constant talking. But, overall, it wasn’t the worst reaction I’ve seen. Next up, Comfortably Numb, pulse Live, from 1994. Shh!
Dude the key to Pink Floyd is you put on a pair of really good headphones with the bass pretty much up. And close your eyes and you just go with the flow. You find your foot tapping to the flow of the tunes. You go to Nirvana That is what Pink Floyd is about
1. Don't ever pause in the middle of a guitar solo. Cardinal sin. Especially with Pink Floyd.
Send you to Gilmour Hell.....
NEVER. Plus a lot of these reactor don't listen , they just comment without really hearing.
@@kenhoyer8601 The rare attentive and thoughtful reactor... Found a few. He'll learn.
Rule 2: see rule 1!
This dude has no clue how to react. He doesn’t even rewind after fkn up the best part of the song. Never again.
Makes me feel old that here is a person that doesn't recognise clock chimes and alarms.😅
Snap!
Not to mention the "tic toc" sound of some kind of indicator 😂
This generation doesn't recognize the harmonica. Or the guitar.
I was thinking the same thing
Ditto! 😂😂😂
😟 Everytime you stop a David Gilmour 🎸 guitar Solo, an Angel loses its wings..... #Facts 🐰

@@schuyler_reacts😂 That song has no lyrics (sorry, Phil)…
Do Not pause during a guitar solo!!!! Jeez.

i dont think I've ever seen someone pause a guitar solo of one of the greatest guitar players of all time.

The only thing better than Pink Floyd is Pink Floyd live. 🤘🏽💗
It reminds me of watching someone whose brain is devoid of original thought
Steady losing faith in the world's shrinking attention span.
Exactly
Yes, he couldn't concentrate for more than about 20 seconds and would then interrupt with some stupid comment and go off on some tangent. Hopeless.

For a first listen I think he missed half the content by talking through it.
Glad you're enjoying Floyd, most people do. How about reacting to Money from the same album? All the best from the far north of New Zealand.
Bless you! Good attempt at being interested in an unfamiliar genre of music, I'm the same when my grandson plays me his latest favourite rap song.

not bells,,,they are alarms, on clocks, that tell time,,,,
Okay well it’s the same thing 🤷🏽♂️
You will enjoy and understand the song better if you have the lyrics pulled up in front of you......

to much talking.
the meaning of the song is to waste as much time as you possibly can
Alarm clocks 🤣
The sound is poor :(
Alarm clocks and clocks in general usef to have loud ass bells.....
you should never listen to this album all the way through with headphones on you should always break it up
