i really love what cities skylines is doing to reinvent the game. updates and changes like these are so cool. im hoping they all also add other road options/customizations in the future allowing for only specific vehicles to only specific take a road. great job cities skylines! and more modular stuff please!!!
I loved Cities when it came out and played for quite a while. Every time I think I want to go back to it I just get so overwhelmed with all the mods and things that seem to be required to really make your cities and traffic function property. Hopefully we get Cities 2 soonish that has a lot of core issues improved to where all we need for mods is buildings and stuff if you want them.

If the new game comes out on console and it's not the exact same game, without the ability to use moveit, traffic manager, etc. Then what's the point in buying it? They clearly don't care, we have an inferior game right now. They will charge us the same amount for this latest dlc, even though it will likely take up most of the map, so even less space to build everything else on. No sign of a "FREE" update for console to give us more tiles. 25 might be too much, yes. But surely we can have more than 9? Even 3 more would make all the difference. Or at least let us choose between 2 different starting squares for each map. Or let us have the freedom to pick any 9 as long as they are connected.
For the next dlc/ccp can we get an infrastructure set with more road types (ie 1 way single lane *not highway* and same for dirt road or a 3/2 asymmetrical style too? Plus options for open air and covered car parking (could even charge tickets for doing so 😈). Maybe some additional decorations such as chevrons for roundabouts and sharp corners etc. what about street lamps? Could have old gas lamp styles for older parts of towns. Slightly off topic of roads but it would be cool if you could choose your starting tile off the map and the buy the rest as normal. Would offer more variety with the existing maps even with only the 9 tiles on console. Just a couple of ideas to think about 😊

Always noticed the circling planes when the regular and cargo airports were too close or had joined taxi ways (airport roads mod) passenger planes would touch and go off the cargo runway and then spin endlessly confused. So glad they tried to fix this.

Time to revive my city that I kept coming back to since 2015 to update it with this new features and the airport DLC. Just curious, does anyone else have that one city build who you kept coming back to? It was a remake of my very first city that's why I'm kinda attached to it. Even though I've already built on 90% of the map, I kept coming back to it and improving it every update.
hii nowadays, I don't have any city that I visit again, I play on the console (which limits a lot) so most of my cities don't exceed 150k habs and, all the cities I had, I already fixed or deleted most of them (as I was a beginner I did grid cities, I didn't care about public transport and highways) today I am building prettier cities 😼
As a console player, my biggest problem is that there is no parking. It is not that hard to add 2-4 parking spaces that you can place down. Would make the game so much better.. I was really hoping they would add it with Airports since that too would make so much sense. Anyways great content! Ps. Yes I know you can do electric car parking and so on but it is not the same.
Absolutely great, in my opinion there cannot be enough different kinds of trees added, so great update! I love how the game is still being updated after 7-ish years

Colossal and Paradox is doing such a great job in keeping this game alive despite being 7 years old. This by maintaing it with updates and adding new content, and not the least, they see the value in including the great modding community this game has. And of course, the fantastic streamers 😊👍
Excellent presentation with clear straightforward info on what's included in the free update. Greatly appreciated. There is a lot of millage in Cities Skylines yet and such a major expansion is a clear indication that Cities Skylines 2 is still some distance into the future!
Wow. These extras sounds way more exciting to me than the main Airport DLC. Would not have bought the DLC since custom stuff is good enough, but with these new features, which support even custom content, I shall go for it.
What an amazing update! The tree swapping on the roads is a very nice touch and will be utilizing that a lot in my vanilla and modded builds! The only drawback I see from this entire update are the conditions for the runways. Not being able to add extra runways as the airport grows is a limiting factor and should be revised if possible. We all know that as airports grow in the real world, they add new and longer runways to accommodate the extra traffic. No small airport is going to have 3 runways, let alone 2!
Oh, the free additional content comes with the program update. I had missed that. I guess it's why I couldn't find a free download from Steam. Our play style differs, I'm much less detail oriented, and not overly concerned with trying to make my builds prototypical, but I always learn something from you. No, I don't appreciate it, whenever I cram anything new into my poor old skull, I get a horrible headache. :-) Also, I do enjoy just seeinbg what other folks do with the package. Gotta be one of, if not THE most encouraging of creativity of any game out there.

Mr Maison’s work is great. Not sure yet if they will be suitable for entire forest areas on the map I am making as they tend to be quite high poly. Likely I’ll be able to sprinkle some in though.
I want Jacarandas in my sims' neighborhoods. What do I care, I don't gotta clean up after them. Honestly, one of my favorite trees. Another tree in the pack, Coast Live Oak, is another of my favorites.

More tiles for console players should be a high priority with more content coming out requiring alot of flat land! Would definitely improve the size and need for large international airports.
Wouldn't bother getting your hopes up, all your going to get is a lot of idiots telling you how your console won't handle it. My xbox runs microsoft flight sim forza COD etc all fine with no problem. All demand more from the xbox than cities ever would.

Nice, so this ALMOST makes two mods uneeded. Not going to complane as less load and the mod that lets you select what type of vehicle leaves a station is old and finicy. Though does this update effect EVERYTHING? Like Taxi type and the like?
So I got the game on PC. And I’m unsure of whether or not I got all the features from the update. Does having mods affect anything at all? To be specific so you guys can understand, I did get the trees updated on my menu. However, I don’t get the customizable option when it comes to disposing soil nor the customizable cars for police stations for example. Everything else, except for the new trees, also isn’t there. I have a handful mods that I subscribed to, could that be an issue?
The worst thing in this dlc is that you can place only two exits from the runway. That thing is the only reason that I don't want to buy this dlc, because it makes impossible to build real life airports in cities skylines :(

Changing the trees on the roads is definitely a welcome addition, wish there was a way to choose the size, but at least there's that much :p

I'd say the 1 thing missing from this update is surface painter. Be able to paint concrete around our airports and create proper sandy beaches

I was planning on creating a city with high detailing, being able to replace the trees on the roads is massive!
I just love this game form my childhood just because of its every day workshop update and this type of developers update. .

The whole tree system for roads, they need to do the same with bike, bus, taxi, tram lanes etc. where you can add it to all existing roads.

The freight fix will be absolutely wonderful.
It would be good to be able to use non airport branded bendi and double decker buses on regular bus routes as well.
You will be able too, go into the line details and choose which bus you want. Like you can choose the school bus or bio fuel one.
I must say I’ve been quite hyped about some DLCs but Airports is on a new level!
