I just wonder - these free updates with vehicles and transport hubs... they make your previous purchases of content creator packs kinda... stupid? Like people spent money to get hubs, roads and vehicles and then some time later alternative is added for free...

The basic 'CPP-style' parking lots at 0:36 and 2:20 look functional. They also appear in the menu somewhere in the video and I've seen them in other new content promo's.
As a Houstonian, the PARKING LOTS feature thrills me. Now I can cover my whole city with endless parking lots, and give it that extra bland aesthetic it’s been missing.
I think of it more as finalizing the great work of the mod creators. Even if they stretch back for years. They will always be tied to the game now at retail installation 😁 Great job!
Reading the release notes got me excited, SO MANY FREE CONTENT...can not wait for this massive update, and again...thank you for devs, modders, everyone keeping this game alive
The capacity indicators are something I’ve been wanting since that vehicles update, will be great to have more options to play with in our cities regarding older dlc
Cities skylines 1 is already so good. With all the New stuff. I just want to believe that this and the most DLCs will be implement in Cities Skylines 2 as basic. I just can't wait for CS2. Pls Paradox and CO give us some hints, when it comes, i am going insaaaane
The price of just the new announced DLC is more than the price of a new Paradox game like Victoria so there is zero chance of all 8 years of DLC being included.
I can’t think of ANY game that had ~8 years of regularly-added content, and then started the sequel with all that content already in place. Or even a majority of it. We’d never get second games in series and definitely not a third one, if that were the established norm. A base game is simply that, a base to build the rest of the game around. We should expect a base game to have playability on its own and it should include, at the very least, the basics you need for that type of game. A good one will give you more then the basics. Realistically, I can’t see how CO could include even 1/4 of everything they’ve added to CS over the years. The whole point to trying to leave CS in as good a place as they can is so that those players who have grown used to having 8 years of content will still be able to play that game while the new base game for CS2 starts the cycle over, though hopefully, with some new surprises and strides along the way. As someone who has played EA games for 20+ years, I am just grateful CO is trying to fix any major bugs and leave the game in a good state. EA tends to just leave bloated, broken corpses of their games behind, leaving modders to somehow Frankenstein continued life-support on them. And then, they’re likely to give you less then the previous base game. Honestly, I’m half-convinced they break them on purpose so players will have to move on to the new game.
@@mariesalias I totally agree with you! The point I was try to make is that CO and Paradox bring the much basic ''MUST BE'' DLCs and Stuff. Just example the Industry. I really hope they implement the Industry even better in the next game. Like much more varity, more buildings, better KI System and so on. I am not expecting that they should bring all or a majority of it in the game. Just like must haves a.E: Industry, Park Life, Airport, Campus and Mass Transit. These 4 are in my opinion one of the important ones. And also they should not forget that there are people who spend a lot of money recently in CS (like me lol) just to know that the money/DLCs are ''useless'' (I know there a lot of people who still will be playing CS1 but I guess you get my point) At least it's more important that they add the most making sense DLCs that I already mention. The tram-metro hub looks useful. I hope the parking garage is functional and not just decorative. Would like a last update to try and increase the node and segment limits though :P
Very happy to see so much content on the "final" roadmap for Cities Skylines before we can dive into the successor. Not everyone might be able to get Cities Skylines 2 right out of the gate, so all this additional content, free and DLC, will add more layers to the vanilla experience :-)
The quality of these assets makes me very excited for CS2 since I'm assuming some of these assets HAVE to be in the next game too. The realism of them is amazing and a far cry from the cartoonish style the game had at launch.
Oh god... The 2+2 highway is one of my dearest dreams. If in the May patch they offer 3+3 and 4+4 superlarge airport-cargo style, I think I would faint.
After only getting into Cities about a month ago on Xbox One, I'm so happy to see further free content and QoL updates, even after the recent announcement of a sequel.
Tree lined monorail roads! I've tried using monorails on busy arterials, but cars parking on the side would slow down traffic & make it look a little ugly
I'm very glad to see this game get some very well deserved final touches before Cities: Skylines 2 arrives. Makes me feel confident that the sequel will be handled with love and care too.
Love it! The networks you can build with all of this is mind boggling. I'm stoked I haven't got to the transportation part of my City build yet as all this is to come!

On console the new update is not working properly, all of the textures on the new buildings are extremely low quality, we also seem to lack the two large and small parking lots, the big parking garage thing is there but the two little ones are not, please fix this

I just took advantage of the Steam sale to pick up a bundle of DLCs that I was missing, including Mass Transit and Sunset Harbor, so between my new DLCs and the new update, it's gonna feel like Christmas morning when I fire up CS later today!
I would highly recommend Overcharged Eggs guides on that sort of thing. He has a noobs guide as he calls it Playlist and I've been watching the whole thing since I stopped playing the game for a while. There's a couple early ones that deal with mass transit that were very eye opening. Funny enough he was the one who built the city that was featured in the video. It's an amazing city called Palaven
I'm missing a few hubs, I have both snowfall and mass transit and I don't see them. Also I have the multi level parking lot, but I'm missing the small and large parking lots... Hopefully this gets fixed so I get the full experience

There’s a mega hub with what appears to be non-electrified railway tracks. The trackbed is brown, not white like the elevated subway/metro tracks. The catenary appears to be missing. Unless I’m wrong.
My suggestions for next updates (please): - Two-lane Avenue/Road with Tram Tracks, Bicycle Lanes, and Trees - Two-lane One-way Road with Two-way Bicycle Lanes
With every free update, it makes me think that some or most of these things will be in the CS2 base game during launch (search, asymmetric roads, more props, more networks, etc. without mods or DLCs). Fingers crossed!

So nice to see some final fixes on the first game before it's "retired". This thoughtfulness gives me a tiny bit more hope for the sequel.
I think it will keep on for quite a while since CS2 will be not as advanced and filled with Content as the first game. And don’t forget the workshop…

CS2 is a hard sell for anyone who already invested a lot in this game. Barebones
remind you of sims in any capacity? They essentially cut out the bonus stuff and sold it to people again over 4 whole titles no thanks I stay on cs 1
