1:50 finally a small bus station! I wanted one because I don't need 10 bus lines for an independent town on the outskirts
This was my favorite addition too. The current ones available (non-modded) are all so big, clunky and notably, expensive in upkeep.

I would love in the future: metro Gates connecting from the roads > via underground ped path > free-to-place underground metro station.
Imagine how connected you can make the metro station with multiple spider-like entrances/exits from far ends of the streets.

Also very simple to make function in fairness, the game would just need to spawn invisible pedestrian networks between entrances within a small radius (100 metres or so). The invisible aspect is not an issue, cims already spawn through the wall to reach the metro platforms anyway so allowing them to do so from entrance buildings placed near the station seems fine to me.

That would never work. Any transportation building needs to be on a road or pedestrian street to be serviced for garbage or emergency vehicles.

Thanks, OE! This DLC is going to be one of the best ever! The elevated metro with shops looks really amazing!
New transport hubs that allow multiple lines to run is fantastic. Being able to bring two metro lines together without doing anything elaborate is something this game needs badly. Also very curious what "high capacity" means within the context of the new service buildings.
Its explained in the dev diary. More vehicles mostly. The hospital can treat more patients at once. If they have a higher service area and stronger service effect I'll be happy to use them.
More vehicles or students if you are talking about schools and more patients in medical building

I love that there are always new Metro/Train stations coming lately, with the difference of modes that they didn't have in the base game, 4-lane underground metro and the crossover... in addition to that if a Trains & Stations 2 is released I'll buy it lol

@@fabianbnd8188 Bus roads seem to be part of the free update, but this DLC does have exclusive bus roads with the pedestrian path decals.

Lovely DLC but I hope it's the last one because we're reaching technical limits on how much a 2015 game engine can handle. Next news I want to hear has to be Cities Skylines 2!
I’d rather push this game further since the game is still within the limits since vanilla gameplay still allows 9 tiles, 25 tiles still works in modded gameplay, but 81 tiles is probably no longer recommended due to the limits being reached quicker than what it was at launch
I agree, and besides it takes new games some time to mature. I.e mod support and content.
I think they should have started working on a sequel a long time ago, this should allow you to build even bigger and add alot of quality of life stuff and some new stuff.
However i do understand if it aint broke etc etc. But the longer they take to release it the harder itll be to get people onto the new game imo.
You'd need to buy all the dlcs for the CS2 again to obtain the functionality and gameplay of current CS 🤣
@@blueeyedbaer I feel like most are fine with that. You've got a more polished game, with the ability to handle more cims and paths without mods. If they drip dlcs, people would still buy it.
@@blueeyedbaer It's the Sims situation all over again, but as long as the CS2 is a vast improvement in every way, I think we'd all be fine with it.
Wow loving this. I always wanted a city for pedestrians where we can have the train stations nearby like that, and those plazas look beautiful. Looking forward for the DLC

I absolutely love the new service buildings and wall-to-wall specialization! The transportation assets are really good, too. Vanilla downtowns are going to become SO much better now. I can't wait to see the new maps that come with the DLC.
I can't believe they finally added a metro station with crossing lines after all these years! And they made it beautiful! My life is now complete.

So much this! My radial metro systems always looked very wonky because I couldn't integrate two metro stations. I can't believe I will get this perfect asset complete with the pedestrian infra.

At some point I'd like to see an overhaul of the base assets, they're starting to look quite cartoony compared to more modern C:S assets.

The wall-to-wall-district buildings not actually being wall-to-wall is really funny to me
I can see how those wall to wall buildings can come in handy in between a downtown and a suburb.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL set of assets and buildings. Looks like a new designer is in town- these are mouthwatering good. They certainly look like the best of any Colossal Order have ever produced for Cities Skylines.

i think its a one of the best dlc's but it's strange that there are no pedestrian street with tram tracks
I think because trams are from a different DLC and they didn’t want dependencies. Buses and metro are vanilla.
That said I would love to see mini “glue” packs for combining other DLCs. Like tram support for pedestrian roads (snowfall + p&p) or airport monorail stations (mass transit + airports)

tram tracks are already pedestrianized (people will use them as paths) and they can cross the ped streets just fine - there are already screenshots of trams crossing ped areas. Agree it would be nice to have some combined ped/bike/tram roads though. maybe in a future content creator pack!

Because Trams require the Snowfall DLC, and they don't want to mix features from DLC you might not own.
Yeah, I want more tram features too. More street options, different trams, tram lines with buildings, bus/tram hubs, …

an underground train station would be a very cool addition that could further link train and metro. I live in a city where the normal train stations go underground towards the cbd and i think there should be an option for underground train networks. I do understand if this doesn't happen due to metro already existing tho
they should at least give dlc for low,medium and high density commercials and residential it would be great!
New transport assets are good, but I would really like that they added an underground train station to the lot. It really lacks for city center rapid transit options. (and add a transfer station as well while we are at it).
Also the other downside is the lack of old architecture buildings in the game. All those post modern buildings are nice but I usually hate that architecture...

What's the mechanical difference between regular zoning and the wall-to-wall specialization? Self sufficient buildings had less utility usage for less tax, but the fire chance seems underwhelming; especially if you don't play with Natural Disasters.
I think it could have been a theme instead.
I’m guessing the altered fire mechanics make it more realistic.

I’m loving the DLC so far but, I’m I little bit concerned that the wall to wall buildings will look repetitive very easily because of the patterns, don’t get me wrong they look great, but I hope that not all of them have patterns, just a small fraction of them

Probably the most useful dlc for building a realistic modern city in this game, can't wait for it.
The wall-to-wall buildings alone would to me probably be enough to justify buying this. It’s probably my favourite DLC yet, despite that I haven’t even played with it yet
I think that for the next content creator pack they should overhaul the long-neglected european theme. So instead of the district theme just being all these different styles that are all vaguely european it should instead have more specialization like a British theme, a Parisian theme, an Italian theme, a Spanish theme, etc.

I only play on ps4. I realize I miss out on alot. I do wish they had a parking structure to place as well and dual zone building, like commercial on bottom, apartments up high, although I could see that creating higher pops and slower speeds.

Will there also be tram roads, like bus road but with trams instead, and roads that act as pedestrian and car, with car access and a wide sidewalk? Though someone will likely make a workshop asset for this

1:49 When I put the compact bus station,or any bus hub on the pedestrian roads it wont let me connect any bus lines inside,i can put the stops on the pedestrian road,but not in the station.Why,does anyone know?
