Looks absolutely amazing thank you! In just a few ways- what are some things you would want to change regarding 'nitpicking' things of the game? Thanks!
The only thing I'm curious about is why you don't use "Iron Halo" on Heavy more frequently. With all perks and buffs it should make you almost invulnerable to ranged damage along with some collateral damage to mellee enemies. In addition, heavy bolter is quite useful for clearing hordes and focusing one bigs, whough with smaller crowds it would be better to use bolt pistol, imho.
It really depends on positioning. I’d bet it going to be one of those classes where the teammates make or break it like having an oygrn in dark tide is great but half of them are more a problem because the block line of sight more than being a tanky dps.
I also think that using your class passive to stay in close range with your team will be important too. Like for the Carnifex fight: Staying close to your allies and using Iron halo to reduce its damage and not be super far so as to aggro his ranged attack.
@rungunninja1289 simple solution - bullets that hit teammates should be refunded. Also, Heavy should suppress enemies significantly more, limiting ranged accuracy when unloading in heavy stance. Lastly, the Iron Dome should be replaced with a knock back ability that gives Heavy breathing room to unload rounds into incoming melee combatants
Friendly reminder that, even though Heavy uses no melee weapon, the class still has melee options for when you are swarmed at all sides. Especially the splash damage stomp attack that can push away a ton of enemies and do some damage while you’re at it. May open up more opportunities for primary weapon damage without as much rolling. Love the vids I can’t wait for more!

Gameplay is a lot better than the earlier vids. You're getting a feel for it and able to showcase the heavy class way better, especially in tighter situations. So many blocks, counters and dodges, nice one
Exactly, the bolter was designed to basically punch down. Mainly targeting threats that are as durable as your average human rather than something on par with a space marine. I believe the heavy bolter can deal with armor better but not by much.
All the footage I see of people playing heavy they dont use the melee - in the first game and in this game, you can do massive stomps that will push and stun an entire horde and give you breathing room. It is definitely more effective than firing at point blank and roll spamming.
So one thing I would like to see released for this game is a heavy flamer for the heavy, an inferno pistol (which is just a pistol sized melta gun) and some kind of volkite weapon (laser beam of death)
The heavy immediately was the class I knew I'd prefer most, so I hope they do buff it a li'l bit, and make the heavy bolter more viable by increasing damage and accuracy slightly, would be a shame for it to fall to the wayside.
The class seems fine, Legacy gaming does a good job showing it off. It's just the main problem is that every previewer happens to only be playing alone which works against the Heavy. If a heavy player has two other players to help peel off enemies and draw focus away, then it would really shine as fire support.

Heavy bolter still feels kinda weak. Just from the nature of the game design means that battles will almost always turn into a close quarter melee situation. Where mobility is supremely important. Going into the stance means you'll get chewed up extremely quickly. Yet that's the only way heavy bolter can output good DPS, since the regular shooting is so much slower and less accurate.
Obviously I haven’t played the game yet, so I can’t speak to whether or not the heavy bolster needs a buff, but the heavy class in general seems to heavily (no pun intended) rely on teammates positioning themselves correctly and doing their job, like assault for example would pair really well with a heavy. Otherwise, the heavy will likely be overwhelmed without a balanced team.

I remember that the Iron Halo is a rare relic that only the highest ranking of the chapter (Captain, Chapter Master) or the most honored Veterans Champions can receive such rare, honorable relic... @@IrishSniper136 That's literally the main weapon for heavy Intercessors, it baffles me that the tactical has it but heavy doesn't. It would give more versatility to heavy class
No. They really should have named the class devastator instead of heavy. A heavy intercessor in lore is used to plant in a spot you want to defend and never give it up. I feel like the problem with the heavy bolter is that you are playing with bots. Once you have a full team of players, they'll understand that you need to have the swarm off your back and so they'll pull the aggro so you can do your job better.
If you can get that heavy bolter to the next relic level, the damage was at 5 which is almost double. Plus 2 extra points in piercing. Then it would probably be a little more effective. I agree with you however, if you had a good team with say the bulwark guy to melee with the swarm and a vanguard guy with the grappling hook so he could quickly get to your position if you get swamped. With the upgraded heavy bolter, if you didn't kill them outright you would be putting a lot of the warriors in stagger mode for your team or whittle them down to the point where a couple of chainsword or powersword strikes would put them in stagger so they could be executed with ease for the melee guys. I know it's a bummer for you, but if you can get that heavy bolter up to the higher tier relic levels it may be interesting to see the effectiveness of it. Maybe play a few times off screen just to get the points for that heavy bolter upgrade.
Hilarious how they got the official color scheme wrong. You should either have both hands silver or just the left hand silver. I love the metalic black color though
Can you confirm what Heretic Astartes warbands are available for colors and decals but also play in Eternal War? Is the one beneath the Black Legion heraldry the Iron Warriors? I need to get my Iron Within, Iron Without on.
Ferrus Manus would feel disappointed of what has the Iron Hands become, the quote "The Flesh is Weak" is actually a bastardization of the original quote which was not said originally by Ferrus Manus but rather from Vulkan to Ferrus, "the flesh is weak but deeds prevail".
I think the heavy bolt is really meant for clear the smaller enemies for your team so they can better focus the warriors. almost every class from what I seen does have one or two weapons that work better whne you have a proper team to work with.
They should add the aggressors load-out in for the heavy class and give it power first (the same as the normal one) and make the bolt storm gauntlets as pistols like when you shoot it is uses pistols amo and when you use grenades it comes out of your shoulder missiles as normal grenades and when you are in heavy stance you get an increased fire rate with your double pistols (storm bolters ) what do you guys think cause I think they should definitely add this
it makes sense that the aim is bad out of heavy stance. in the table top those guns have the heavy keyword which means if the model stood still that turn it got +1 to its ballistic skill.
Iron Hands, with Primarch Ferrus Manus, whose name means Iron Hands, who has Iron Hands, and they have a ship called the Fist of Iron. I don't know much about the Iron Hands, but I hope the naming scheme continues to every gear and weapon, battle doctrine and codewords.
Why does Iron Hand have so few mechanical prosthetics? In the setting, Iron Hand likes to show his prosthetics. Now the black and dark gray armor will be cooler if there are chrome-plated (or other metal colors, rust, copper, gold) metal arms or legs.
I'm trying to figure out the rhythm of the heavy while watching, obviously different when you're playing. Maybe when they get in close switch to your side arm? That way it's a bit more agile/versatile? Also I think when you have a full team of players, they will help keep them off of you so you can do heavy things LOL.
One Punch Man Space Marine suggestion: Imperial Fists Assault/Bulwark as base, no helmet, bald and white cape if possible, boots and gauntlets in red, and a red power fist to finish it. The rest can be anything.
The heavy bolter needs to do significantly more damage. Looked like you were tickling the termagants with a feather. Also the rounds need to suppress and stagger enemies. Quite literally the purpose of the devastator marine is overwhelming fire support and suppression which this is failing miserably at.
In the first game 1 bolt was all you need to get rid of 1 grot. In this game it's like 3 or 4 bolts from heavy bolter is required to get rid of ONE lowest class tyranid. So... Yeah, the game is so much balanced around melee, that they had to make all auto-weapons in to a pea-shooters.
Heavy bolter comes off a slightly weak and dam that gun needs way more ammo. Seriously find it odd the most gun focused class can be ammo starved so quickly. Hope ammo reserves and damage output is a good bit increased before launch. But overall game/world looks amazing. I am worried about the small number of pve mission are avaliable. Going to run out of content much to quickly.

Green-Gray metal. The color scheme is unpretentious and menacing. Perfection. The flesh is weak, but the machine is strong.
Need some boltstorm gauntlets
Am i only one who hates that you have to unlock chapters?
You're such a Gorgon, Ferrus! 🦾⚒️
ME : exists as a heavy with a heavy bolter
Allies : "adds"
ME: CLEANSE THE HERETIC!!!
For the Gorgon!
The flesh is weak, but deeds endure 🗿
I'd love to see more of Vanguard if possible! Minotaurs are my favourite, so maybe a Vanguard Minotaur, or something, would be cool
Can you confirm what Heretic Astartes warbands are available for colors and decals but also play in Eternal War? Is the one beneath the Black Legion heraldry the Iron Warriors? I need to get my Iron Within, Iron Without on.
dayum i didnt realize how cool the customization is , now im considering getting this game
"THE FLESH IS WEAAAAAAAAK CORVIS" - Flying head of Ferrus
Iron hands: WANNA CATCH THESE HANDS HERE THEY ARE ✊
Iron Hands, with Primarch Ferrus Manus, whose name means Iron Hands, who has Iron Hands, and they have a ship called the Fist of Iron.
World Eaters! Thousand Sons?
I'm trying to figure out the rhythm of the heavy while watching, obviously different when you're playing. Maybe when they get in close switch to your side arm? That way it's a bit more agile/versatile? Also I think when you have a full team of players, they will help keep them off of you so you can do heavy things LOL.
One Punch Man Space Marine suggestion: Imperial Fists Assault/Bulwark as base, no helmet, bald and white cape if possible, boots and gauntlets in red, and a red power fist to finish it. The rest can be anything.
“I’ve seen a lot of request for this chapter in the comments which was surprising”
*later*
“6:36”
“Their drip is weak”
The heavy bolter needs to do significantly more damage. Looked like you were tickling the termagants with a feather. Also the rounds need to suppress and stagger enemies. Quite literally the purpose of the devastator marine is overwhelming fire support and suppression which this is failing miserably at.
This is 100% going to be my Chapter and starting class. The flesh is weak!!!
What more can you show us about Chaos Space Marines?
Hey 👋🏽 Gameriot how are you holding up
THE FLESH IS WEAK BUT DEEDS ENDURE!!
How could you not give him the cybernetic arm? This is blasphemy
I can't wait for the chance to make some of my homebrew chapters color schemes in this game, it's gonna be sweet
Hearing that vox loading in feels so good, Im glad they didnt do an announcer.
I feel like the heavy bolter does not do enough damage
In the first game 1 bolt was all you need to get rid of 1 grot. In this game it's like 3 or 4 bolts from heavy bolter is required to get rid of ONE lowest class tyranid.
So...
Yeah, the game is so much balanced around melee, that they had to make all auto-weapons in to a pea-shooters.
They need to let you have a cog-like Iron Halo for an Iron Hands guy!
Ok, Ive seen videos where heavy gets white recoverable health and armor back from killing when they're in a shooting stance. Can someone else please verify this? Check out 27:23 when he kills a termagant and gets an armor bar back. If this is actually a mechanic Heavy is much more viable than it looks in this gameplay.
Something I've been meaning to ask- are librarians playable in Space Marine 2? If not, maybe an aesthetic and abilities like a Librarian?
I’m 100% making Iron Warrior Heavy for PVP Iron Within, Iron Without, we are so close to release 😊
Last night I dreamed that Blizzard finally released a StarCraft 2 Ghost that never came out. And it looked like this.. u.u PROTOSS OP
Initially when the classes were revealed I was extremely excited to play Heavy, but after seeing gameplay, the class really just seems like a Dark Souls simulator, constantly rolling and rolling and rolling away from danger. I’m a Space Marine, I want to PLANT MY FEET and slaughter screens full of bugs, so Bulwark it is for me.
Heavy, bulwark, and a sniper or assault will be the meta
Blitz this game on here and boom, more subs than you can imagine
Would love a video testing the weaker graphics card. Really interested to see how that performs.
Try to recreate the Retributors from Astartes to show off some more of how custom chapters can work!
the Bulwark should have more aggro generation to pull the enermy away
Heavy is best with a team to take aggro. When solo you get all ghe toons after you and is hard to do the stance. Strong class though tons of buffs for team
Oh finally! My wish has come true
I'd love to be able to make myself look like a Iron Warrior in the co-op
Do blood Raven's tactical next "SHOW ME WHAT PASSES FOR FURY AMONGST YOUR MISBEGOTTEN KIND"
I find it really jarring that all the ai assets remain as Ultramarines. Hopefully they implement an update that'll recolour everything to your chosen chapter colours
Heavy needed some form of overdrive ability. Higher fire-rate or dmg boost thing. Opposed to the shield in my opinion at least.
This is The Best Game of Warhammer 40k ...
Can't Wait to Play 👌🏻
You needed to give them a Blue Visor and that Bionic arm dude
for next raptors sniper?
As a chaos fanatic i like to see the galaxy burn
I’m honestly praying you do world eaters next
